Welcome! I am also a POAAFOL (Partner of an Adult Fan Of Lego!) or if you prefer FOAAFOL (Fiance of an afol!). I figure that I'm lucky to have ended up with Shadows. That's why I'm a saint too. No no, a saint! Weird how that keeps happening. At any rate, you will probably enjoy the LEGO shenanigans as much as I do. Have fun.

Aw thanks for all the good wishes! I actually celebrated yesterday and took the day off and went and bought a Marc Jacobs purse for myself (I had a Saks gift card). Most of you probably have no clue about what that is. I didn't buy any lego (but they don't have that at Saks)! I've been struggling with the idea that maybe I'm not an afol since I'd rather have a great (really great) handbag than a bunch of.. and I mean a bunch of lego. On the other hand, I think it just makes me a girl. I worked today but I'm celebrating with friends and family all weekend starting tonight! Happy birthday to Dragonator and Evil Willy as well!!! Hope it is filled with ABS plastic!

Welcome. I hope to see some of your creations soon as they sound interesting. I actually just tore up some of my half way finished MOCs but I plan to remake them. I enjoy basing MOCs on short story scenes. There are actually a couple of scenes out of "The Most Dangerous Game" by Richard Connell that I have been working on recreating in brick including ship trap island. I have just been putting off finishing that one, but I finally have all of the parts. Another one that I'm working on is "A Rose For Emily" by William Faulkner. A creepy but interesting MOC it shall be (if the darn parts would come in from bricklink). Anyway, I went off on a little tangent there because somehow that was related to what you said in my brain. Like I said, I hope to see some of your creations soon. Have fun here!

I bought a pink bucket finally!!! Haven't opened it yet, but I'm looking forward to it.

Hey Mike P. I think your post here is probably ok but why don't you post in the Hi! My Name Is... Forum so that we can get to know you a little better and properly welcome you to this wonderful community. Have fun!

An interesting introduction indeed. Welcome to Eurobricks. Have fun and post often. It must be hard to type if you are a rabbit, you know, because you don't have opposable thumbs and all. I must say I am fond of bunnies though. I decided not to buy a rabbit fur felt fedora yesterday (as beautiful as it is) after reading the process of making rabbit felt. By chance, are you a white rabbit?

I think it's a positive idea for a site for younger fans of Lego since most sites are devoted to AFOLs or TFOLs and there is some conflict sometimes in the age difference when the younger fans join the forums and start posting (no offense to our younger members, of course). I'm far too old to join but it looks like it is a cool site for you guys who fall into the age range of 10-15 years old.

I participated in the Summer of Doom last year. I do not think our relationship can survive another Summer of Doom. I will probably play a little (I am not committing) but last year I got sick of being called a Nazi constantly. Needless to say, I'm not very good at it.

I have a no set number.

If you deeplink the photos, there are no problems viewing them and no need for you to post the links like that. I prefer to use brickshelf to do that. Here is the tutorial!!! The links do work actually if you copy and paste them into your browser rather than clicking them.

Soooo i accidently orded a replacement piece
Alice replied to Darth_Legois's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'm really disappointed in this thread. I wouldn't have guessed that so many people that love Lego so much would abuse the fact that Lego is willing to rectify their mistakes. The form is pretty clear to me. Lost: This means you lost the part out of a set and it is not Lego's fault. Missing: This means the part was left out of a NEW sealed set and it is Lego's fault. Broken: This means it was broken in shipping and it is Lego or the Postal Company's fault. If I purchased something through ebay or another site and it had a missing part, I would use the lost option or just buy it off of bricklink because that clearly was not the Lego company's fault (unless the set was sealed). Also, broken doesn't mean that you broke the part at home, it means you received it from Lego and it was broken before you played with it or built with it. It just feels like people are really taking advantage of the missing part option which bothers me and seems really dishonest. -
I ordered a bunch of pirate lego and was digging through the box. Since the kitties haven't been staying with me for a bit, I've not had to worry about where I had my lego laying. Well, here is the result among others, but all the destroyed half finished mocs have been put up or repaired and put in a safe place. Needless to say, I came up with a storage plan fast. This is George again... Also, here is Gracie. The chair is covered in cat hair because that is her place and as soon as i get rid of it, she's back and rolling around. Gracie is the one that Shadows claims.

Welcome, it's nice to see another lady has joined. Good luck with your novel and publication. I look forward to seeing you become involved in EB.

I vote cows. I would buy the sets just for the cows. I think they should make calves too so my pony can have a friend! Buffalo would have been second on my list but I do see more uses for cows.

Indy 2: Willie Scott Torso + Legs and Skirt
Alice replied to Shadows's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I think this one turned out really well. I really do love the dress idea with using a slope. The hips and legs look pretty good. I considered doing this one myself but it was easier to ask you to do it. You are the best! -
My first Castle theme set was 7093 Skeleton Tower. I got it in April of this year. I bought it because I have a plan for some of the parts but I actually have it together and displayed currently.

Thanks for the invite. I don't have the time to devote right now and my creative energy is being used up elsewhere. I will remain pushy with shadows to continue writing it though as he is very talented (just what he needs, an ego boost).

It's not a contest, but I am sure that you are welcome to join in. I see that you have already posted a character and a first chapter. I enjoy reading this thread myself. It's a fun little (it's not little anymore) Castle Roleplay that was started during Castle Month. I would encourage you to introduce yourself in the "Hi, my name is..." forum. Welcome to EB, have fun!

I say you are a MFOL (mean fan of lego) with all that kitty love... Someone who is 20 years old is considered an adult. I hate to break it to you, but it's time to grow up (that doesn't mean you have to stop playing with lego). For me, I go back and think about frontal lobe and rational thought development and then I agree with the statement that you are a young punk (although I'm not far past that point myself). It's time to start buying your own lego and getting the question "Some little boy is going to be very happy, isn't he?" with which you can reply "Yes I am". I have to use the reply "I am not a boy!" Lots of fun all the same.

Happy Birthday!! Enjoy it. I wish you lots of bricks.

"Saint Alice" was given to me by Hinckley because it takes a Saint to put up with, much less love, imperialshadows.

Who is responsible for the renaissance of Fabuland?
Alice replied to Siegfried's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Normally, I would vote for shadows because I get special "plant analogies" for doing that, but... I had to vote for Hinckley. In my opinion, Hinckley has recreated interest in this line. Without him there would be no Fabuland Guild or Fabuland Revolution even though others were pivotal in starting these groups. For me, if it weren't for his beautiful MOCs and Fabuland Housewives, I never would have thought to buy Fabuland. Seriously, is this supposed to be a build Hinckley's ego thread? -
Indiana Jones: Short Round Torso Decal
Alice replied to Alice's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Thanks! It's nice to have some validation since I am so new to this. -
I just got in a misc. assortment of minifigs and minifig accessories. Most were very good parts. Also, just put together my Paradisa Island Arcade 6409 and Cabana Beach 6410!!!
