  1. Great to see this project coming back to life.
  2. I'm on the same path. I have been able to connect the sides by removing piece 18171 in the back (connector where the last pin is attached). Reason they don't line up is because the real life model has a little tension on the sides and panels in some places and you cannot recreate that in LDD.
  3. It started out good, my hopes actually went up (hard thing to do after the Rian Johnson disaster) cause I got a Rogue One vipe, but then ... Horses on a Star Destroyer. Kill me again.
  4. Just visited the LEGO store in Wijnegem, there was a build up model. I was one of the few people showing interest in the model, there was no rush or anything. The model was well build and it had nice details, but its really really really grey. I know ISD don't have any flashy colors, but I feel like they could have used a little dark grey or something, maybe something depicting battledamage?? Overall a nice model, but too expensive for my taste.
  5. If people want to get annoyed at anything, let it be an other A-wing , an other Y-wing , an other MF , an other AT-ST , an other snowspeeder , etc. with almost 0 design difference from previous designs...
  6. People are always so nice on the net...
  7. I don't count the Clone Wars sets, those had bad printing and ridiculous faces... Btw, I did not paticipated in spamming lego, so don't generalize and call people "whiners". I was just hoping for a BP with clones that all have the same basic printing. I don't like it when figures of the same type for army building have different printing. A BP with minifigures from 4 different units would be just as good.
  8. Pff, still no 501st battlepack...
  9. I remember some stores having them up against the wall as advertisment, these had no folds, but the chances of finding those are little to none.
  10. Even more inferior??? Take me back to the 80's and 90's... those bricks could take a punsh...
  11. I hope they keep making them, they are a good base for moc's.
  12. Hello all, I just stopped by 2 of my local toystores to pick up some baseplates, unfortunately they were sold out. (48 x 48 gray and 32 x 32 blue) I asked the an employ when they would return and in both shops they told me LEGO is discontinuing baseplates. Is this true???
  13. If items have different molds BL will inform you of it. This will be mentoned under "Related Items:" as you can see in the lik below underneed the picture. https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?id=1767#T=C
  14. I collect vintage pirates and castle sets and I do prefer the original colors. I have also noted that some parts don't even exist in the new colors so I think I will stick with the advice to keep them in the original color. Thank you for your input. I don't plan on selling them any time soon, but if I would it would be with the original parts. Can't believe people would sell them with magablocks replacements...
  15. Thank you Medzomorak, that is just what I was looking for!!
  16. Oh boy, those catalogue bring back memories... I spent hours and hours staring at them imagining stories and adventures. Have you gotten any more of them? Btw TLG would not have to bring back every set of Pirates to celebrate it, just a small iconic set or something...
  17. Is TLG not doing anything for 30 years of pirates???
  18. Will you be adding more fabric pieces, like the cover from 6716 weapons wagon, I lost mine ages ago... :(
  19. Thank you for your reply. That was my first thought too, but some of them are rather expenive.
  20. Hi hello everyone, I'm currently in the process of rebuilding every set I have ever owned and to my surprise most are still complete en some are even in great shape. Unfortunately some do have missing pieces or scratched and broken brick so I'm planning on replacing them. Some of the sets that need new bricks are for instance 6279 skull 6263 Imperial 6761 Bandit's Secret Hide-out etc... These are sets from a different time obviously and they use some colors that are not so popular anymore like the old light grey and brown. So I was thinking of ordering these parts in light bluish grey and reddish brown and just replace the complete color in these sets. What do you guys think, should I stay with the original color or use some of the more recent colors? Thank you for your thoughts.
  21. I'm going to check these out. Btw, I have most of the original sails from the late 80's and those from the 90's and only the bigger sails have a lego mark.
  22. Nicely done, I think there is a big market for sails and stuff like this certainly for sets from the 80's and 90's.Most of my sails are in top condition, but only because I was very careful with them. On the aftermarket many have fraying and broken holes.
  23. Well there is a rumor that a TOR trilogy is in the make, its only a rumor, nothing concrete yet, so it may not be 3 years...
  24. That Naboo Royal Guard is way overdue! Just heard a rumor there might be a TOR trilogy in the make, that should give some awesome sets. Always hoped for a Mk. VI Interceptor.
  25. Amen. SALES TACTICS 1 0 1. Create scarcity and the demand goes up.
