  1. What I would do:Try to use a self check-out. If it has the same message, take an another Lego set as similar as possible to the set you're buying while staying at the exact same price point (Ex. Getting new tent set: take motorcycle chase instead), Check out at the self check out with the replaced set, swith them after paying, and leave motorcylce chase somewhere in the isles before the checkouts. I hope that's not a crime. I won't be able to commit it if it is, because I am forbidden from buying anything from walmart. My love for LEGOs is greater than my hate for walmart , though.
  2. Yes. Please. I'll tade you flesh heads/hands for similar yellows if that's cool... *Goes to LEGO collection and fishes out fleshies*
  3. Thanks for all these comments, guys! He stands up by... balancing. He's on a white piece of paper in the photo, no adhesive or clay involved. He does kind of look chibi and like a character in one of those cartoons, and he does have a large head, but kids do have rather large heads for their size. Also, are you judging a LEGO figure on scale? Look at the official minifig! I think LEGO sytem minifigs are based on somewhat of a cuteness scale... do you think any of you guys might use this technique? I'd love to see a pirateor castle kid! :-P
  4. it's a kid The torso is connected to the legs with a dowel, but it could also be done with a melting bead (a small cylandrical bead that is put on a plastic board and ironed to make them stick together creating a small mosaic) I put this in GD because it's more a building technique than anything else... If you like this and want to use it, give me credit, please? hope you like it! ~Squeaker
  5. That would be Mr. Krabs' head...ha! It's turned around, printing backwards. No modding involved in the horse or the vulture (I'm quite surprised I could pull off the vulture!) I have an idea... a gore contest! See how disgusting AFOLs mind can be ;-)
  6. Haha, cool. I love those intestines. I too have tried my part at making some post-gore: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2072/223940...pg?v=1202073107 On a humorous side note, your subtitle led me to belive this had sometinhg to do with global warming... I mean, Al Gore and Post-apoc? :-D This is a great little vig!
  7. Speaking of pocket knives, I just got Speed Racer and Snake Oiler at K-Mart and might mod the helmet so it actually looks like the cartoon. The problem is - I don't want to shell out two bucks for a clear visor! >:-( By the way, I know trans-clear visors are non-production, but where did they come from? a pick-a-brick? if so, what store? Well at least if I do go through getting the elusive clear visor, it's not as bad as the insane $25+ red vader helmet! This set is great. I would have gotten this along with the one I purchased, but I didn't have enough dough with me to get both.
  8. I don't know if this has been discovered yet, but there is a new impulse set here. It is official and out now, with 2 minifigures for $3.00! I thought some of you might like to know about this.
  9. I find it weird that they made the SW minifigs anime and not the Speed Racer figs... After all Speed racer is anime and Clone Wars dosen't seem to be so anime-ish.
  10. Posable... yes... possable. Sorry it's so big, I guess I shouldn't have cropped it.
  11. Yes, actually. It can be bent to stay about a 90
  12. Oh yeah! I did it! Okay. Enough with the celebration. Here's how I did it: Supplies:•Indy Whip (Duh :-| ) •A straw (the snugger it holds the whip the better, but a regualar soft drink straw will do okay, I think. On second thought, you might want to try to get a snug one. •A PYREX container, preferably a measuring cup •Water •A mircowave. How to straigten: 1. See about how long the whip is, and cut the straw to have about a 1/4 in. or 1 cm overhang on both sides. 2. Put the whip in the staw. 3. Resist temptation to blow it out of the straw. Okay, you can, but put it back in. 4. Fill your pyrex container about 2/3 full with water. 5. STIR the water. This is an important step. It prevent the water from erupting. This means if you skip this step, you may end up with boiling hot water all over you. 6. Drop the whip-filled straw into the container. 7. Microwave for 2-3 minutes. I suggest letting the water settle before taking it out. 8. After about a minute, remove the straw. 9. Let cool for another 2-3 minutes, and remove whip. You may have to blow it out. 10. There you go, you have your whip. Straightened whip. :-) By the way, if anything happens while you try this, neither I nor Eurobricks.com or it's admins are responsible.
  13. I'm surprised no one has yet noticed the new fenders! They look pretty useful. What the heck was LEGO thinking with Speed's helmet? It should be a white printed aviator's helmet w/ clear visor!
  14. This is going to sound really lame, but what you guys are saying about snacks and pushing buttons to make them fall down makes me think of [link:http://pbskids.org/zoboo/]Zoboomafu[/link]. You guys probably have no idea what this is, unless you have small children. I knew it beacause I'm just a teen and saw it when i was little. Just click the link. Anyway, cool set. Though somehow I wish it had a second floor. I don't think I'll be buying it unless I'm making a tan MOC.
  15. My friend got the mag too, he said there was a new batman set, the BatRail. Unfortunatlely, he was dumb enough to leave it at his dad's house. Can someone check if it exists, and maybe take a pic? It sounds interesting.
