  1. Thank you very much, Front, and welcome to EB! Glad to see a fellow mech builder too ;-) There are four Battle machines though. *sweet* Two all black and two with green down the left side. Maverick, the mech my fig is riding in, one of the all black ones, is no more though. It has been scrapped for Maverick Rex! I've posted that model in a seperate thread.
  2. Thank you for the comments AND criticism, gentleman. In my defense though I give this argument: Since this is a quick strike Mech, maybe it's actually beneficial that the parts seem to mesh with each other and it may at times be hard to tell the form. But wouldn't you want that when your buzzing around your enemy and trying to prevent him from nailing a shot at any critical part? Also, I was going for a completely different style than what my past mechs have been. I was thinking along the lines of Transformers the movie, where there is that "fractal" look and so many mechanical parts. I was also thinking a bit of Mechwarrior too. I wanted to avoid studs completely, make the legs instead of arms the prominent part of the mech, make the armor sleeker, use fewer "bricks" and integrate the cockpit and weaponry a lot tighter. I admit though, the upper body IS really tight! So many little pieces kept braking off when I was trying to add something new. Making it compact as possible was a necessity though because of balance. It is structurally sound though. The jets can swivel up and down and rotate in and out. The arms rotate up and down and inward. Each leg features 6 joints, 2 are at each side of the hip.
  3. Hey, everyone! Been working practically all day on this one! Definitely a good Easter, building LEGO! PIC HEAVY! [LOG: March 24, 3008 Clan Morrigan home planet Maelstrom, Research Facilities] After securing Terra Pass at Highlander, I temporarily left the campaign while my men started ground work on a new headquarters at the outcrop. My research team surprised me when they claimed they had all ready finished the new Mech Variant. It was a necessity to upgrade the old model to keep up with the advanced technology of the hoverbike Raptors. More than an upgrade was done, however, my scientists created a whole new monster -- Maverick Rex. The legs are more sophisticated and armored to provide better mobility and protection. The weaponry features two heavy pulsebeam rifles and two medium anti-personal guns. The cockpit is now enclosed over the head and features a simulater graphic display inside for the pilot. Do you see the bird head? Two ultra jump jets are also equipped and offer superior control despite their intense power. Instead of the "stealth" armor of the old model, this model has less of a need of it because of the greater speed and agility, but it does feature two scrambler rods on the top of the jets. Back side views. Slighty side views. Angled views Extra views Full Gallery Here at Brickshelf. Enjoy!
  4. Oh, I was missed? ;-) But thank you very much, though, zero. Because of you I got back into building today. I scrapped Maverick :'-( but it's for a good cause! He's been upgraded to follow the style of the hoverbikes. Gotta keep the whole army upgraded, ya know. ;-) I'll post pics in a day or two.
  5. They're old school. Some type of aquaraiders diving helmet without the visor. But as promised I've got an update on the hoverbikes for those of you who want some cleaner pics. Enjoy
  6. Sweet mother mary! :'-) This is amazing! I can't believe this is actually LEGO though! The schematic is superb, the whole design is superb! This is MOCing to a new level!
  7. Thank you for the comments, everyone. I'll post some more pics of the hoverbikes without all the grass in the way later. I really liked how they turned out, but now comparing the bikes with the mechs side by side, my mechs seem really outdated, especially Mars and Maru. But I guess that just gives me an excuse to keep on building! *sweet*
  8. Geez, I feel like I haven't posted here in a long while. And everything's so different now! But anyways, onto business. [LOG: March 23, 3008. Scouting the rebel planet Highlander. Positioned at Terra Pass.] I have taken a solid task force to find a stronghold position on Highlander. The planet is covered in dense praries and low hills. I have taken a squad to scout what is known as Terra Pass. A large outcrop looms over the land and would be a suitable place to take refuge and establish a headquarters before the full campaign. I make camp now with my squad of elite shock troopers. Our researchers have done well and my spartan armor technology is now available to my men. They have been breed for war. Their faces are but shadows for they need no identity but that of Spartan. "Captain! The rest of the company will be following us shortly. All units will take position on the top of this rock." "None will come through Terra Pass without paying the toll... Move out, men!" Mars, Maru, and Mactalon later joined the squad and we all took position on the outcrop. Of course, I was riding Maverick. We certaintly had the higher ground.... ...Armed and ready... ...We are death from above... ...and below... Once again, a big thanks to our researchers for the hoverbike success. These are also ready to be mass produced. They feature an anti-grav pad underneath, stabilizing hover wings, side thrusters, and a mean set of teeth -- 2 dual mini blasters on the cheeks, and a dual pulse blaster underneath. I had sent our new quick strike units to set up an ambushing party ahead of the outcrop. Quick and deadly, swift as a shadow, they seek their prey in packs. Named the Raptor, these units have courage but no mercy. In position, they lay waiting. [END LOG: Transmission Out.] Thank you so much for getting through all that! Sorry for the all pics, but trust me I could've posted plenty more! The full gallery is here on Brickshelf. The hoverbikes were inspired by Soren. Thank you, Thank you, you are an artist. Mine do not completely follow his own design though. His gallery is here. Check him out, the guy has some beautiful space work, especially on the micro scale. Comments welcome!
  9. Haha, love the first shot! Die, Jellies, Die! :-D
  10. I just can't resist posting this beautiful work by Saber-Scorpion. This is a mod of the 7029 Skeleton Ship Attack which unfortunately didn't quite contain a whole skeleton ship. So...Saber-Scorpion bought two and smacked 'em together! Geez, if I wasn't so into Space and Mecha I'd be switching over to Castle! (I can't afford both :-D :-( ) But anyways, check out his work. The whole shpeel is here. And here's a gorgeous poster he's made. (Prolly too big to display properly on the forum) Enjoy!
  11. Wow, I didn't think was something that actually being considered! LEGO Halo would be pretty sweet! I've played LEGO Star Wars and I much enjoyed it! I really liked chopping stuff up with my lightsaber and seeing it destroyed into a buncha little LEGO pieces, and of course, breaking and building bricks with "The Force" was awesome. Halo in third person would be very interesting too. Plus, the LEGO version looks...well, "cute" in a way. And that seems to make destruction and battle just more enjoyable X-D From the pics on the article it looks like LEGO would have to come up with some new molds for the figs and even weapons if they ever made this into actual bricks. If they did...well...there goes my wallet.
  12. OH yeah, I've seen this creation before on the front page of mechahub.com I really like this kind of ship. Although, the "bug" factor is a bit creepy, there's just something really cool about it. Nonetheless, the engine system is sweet!! The contrast between the front and back view just blows you away. Here's another one of Nnenn's ships. It's a tan one.
  13. These are actually pretty sweet. I'd say the large ship is pretty good. I like the bridge and the turrets. I have to admit, the walkers are kinda cute too. :-D I like the chin turret on the copters too!
  14. I'd say there are enough of us Americans around. X-D Welcome to Eurobricks!!!
  15. You know, there is a "quote" button option. Please use that when quoting, otherwise you haven't properly quoted because you did not cite your source. I suppose you didn't try a thing called Google, but here are a few links. Here is the creator's homepage. Here is a reivew by Boardgame Geek.
  16. Geez, I should check this forum more often, I can't believe I missed this MOC. I really like how you are moving away from showing studs in your creations. A great skill improvement. "Hybrid" makes me think some future Honda company is making its way into the military business, but I can't come up with anything new at the moment. The back hatch is pretty nice. It may be open topped but it looks like a decent amount of cover. Great job!
  17. I've never seen something like that footprint idea before and so that was very very clever and it looks really great. Your whole vig is quite clever actually. I like how even though death is stowed away beneath the earth, it still manages to linger out from the ground and creep about as seen from the gnarled tree with a black bird perched on it and the single skull settled in the sand.
  18. The legs and feet seem too bloated to look like a nimble stryker to me, nice weaponry though.
  19. Uh Dang!!! Really great over hual!!! Love the menacing crew! But dangit.....why'd I have to die. :-D
  20. Welcome Welcome! Impressive minifig collection. Perhaps you could create a sigfig?
  21. It's a start but personally I find things way way way too vague. Making up your own stats out of the blue is just crazy. I understand though that you just wanted something quick and simple and easy to pick up on. However, there's something out there that is just that. Check out "Mechaton" It's a well-developed easy to learn game that uses mini mecha to fight with. Of course you could alter the rules a bit and use other types of minis or heck, prolly minifigs, or even any scale of models really, just alter the movement and ranges to fit the scale. But try and give it a shot, it's been given quite the good praise. Mechaton by Lumpley Games.
  22. o0o0o, I seem to have drawn a sneak peek from you!
  23. Ha, it's great to see something new! I've never seen LEGO figs frozen in an ice block! :-D
  24. o0o0o, sleak but blocky, the wonder of SNOT. I would love to have a squadron of 7695. Death to the Jelly Men!
  25. Well I suppose you could call them Flak Cannons instead. It's a type of AA gun technically, but it doesn't fire necessarily armor piercing bullets like an AA but exploding shells and such (flak). Thank you for the offer friend but I'll stick to my space marine armor. I may be an officer but I don't sit in it the backseat leather chair, but out in the field commanding my men for death or glory, whichever we may meet first.
