[rant] LEGO sets missing minifigs
Only Sinner replied to Lego Otaku's topic in General LEGO Discussion
This happened to me just the other day. My four year old daughter and I were about to build our T-6 Jedi Shuttle, when I opened the box and was horrified to see we were missing the entire bag #1 of parts! Of course I called TLG immediately and complained. I also took the opprotunity to tell them about missing a tiny plate in my Imperial V-Wing.( I recieved an extra right wedge and was shorted a left one.) Now, the service rep was very nice and professional, and explained the whole resealing and returning hustle. I then asked about putting better seals on the packages and she mentioned the company was going the 'splitting up the minifigures' route. I am not convinced that this is really an ideal soloution, as some lowlife can just refill the box with whatever he wants and just return it. Maybe the retailers should require showing an ID when making returns, so at least then they can track frequent returns of similar items (LEGO). That might be an effective deterrent. We did end up building the Republic Frigate that day and put the Jedi Shuttle back in the closet with our LEGO reserve. We will build it together in a week or so when the parts get here. -

I loved this comic, I LOL'd at the bonsai scene and your graphics. Hope everything turns out ok. Yay! for interracial romance!

Updated: [MOC/CUUSOO] Star Wars Combineable Battlepacks
Only Sinner replied to samiam391's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Try building an actual prototype and upload to youtube in a video. Youtube is huge, and a lot of ideas get spread out that way. Get with solid brix studios. That kid, David has rediculous amounts of subs and views. Maybe he will help you. -
I was thinking the same thing. The barge's deck gun looks stupid with those ff's on it. The old one was really way more accurate. I should hope that part of the model is still prelim, too.

What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars sets?
Only Sinner replied to Loco de Lego's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The 10030 UCS Imperial Star Destroyer is arguably the baddest ship in the imperial navy. -
The special forces clone looks like a freaking special blueberry trooper.

The AT-TE is not too bad, I never had one of the other ones, so this is a good opprotunity for people like me to maybe get one. I've never had a Mace either, so I need him for my collection and then Coleman makes a wonderful addition to any jedi team, you have to admit. It would be really nice to get a non-CW Aayla Secura and maybe another female Jedi, How about Bultar Swan? I'd actually like to see all the Pentaki Jedi from ep 2. That would be too sweet.

This was done by ramjarjamjar also as sort of a protest to the scale of TLG's model. [http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=77591] Both of you guys have done a really good job and they sure look a lot better this way. TLG could have put three of these in a box with three new 501st troopers and it would've been a dozen times better set. The way it is now is just kind of .

These are really good looking TIE designs. You'll get a lot of support for these, I'm sure.

The nemodian characters clearly have an east asian oriental accent. The weequay pirates are obviously yakuza. The guy's name is even japanese sounding- Hondo Ohnaka. The Twi' lek of planet Ryloth also have foreign sounding accents. Even Shimi Skywalker had a totally different accent than her own son. But how boring would it be if everyone had briitish sounding accents or just "normal" sounding names. I like the colorful characters, even the bad guys. I'm glad Star Wars suggests a racially diverse galaxy.

Star Wars spinoffs? Great, watch them make another holiday special too. Abrams is really gifted though, I'll give you that.

Dear LEGO, Please bring back the army builder battle packs especially for Star Wars fans. We are adults who actually have money and want to spend it on a children's product! We are very loyal customers and would just ask for a little something special. Thank you for considering this request in helping ensure our children live a proper LEGO lifestyle, and grow to become productive members of society. Faithfully yours, Eurobricks SW AFOLs

That's a pretty good design. So, this more like the Bespin Motors personal speeder than the full size cloud car?

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
Only Sinner replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yes, it looks not quite like TLG's formula ABS. Maybe it's a lower grade polystyrene? I'm sure LEGO would test their moulds with exactly the same material they plan to run with, and it wouldn't be a prototype either for similar reasons. This has to be a Kentucky moonshine moulder. Good job though, whomever it is. -
Look at this: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=77267 Some pretty interesting ideas here. This controversial batte pack topic has been debated to death already, and even though most AFOLs will agree the "build your army" type was better, TLG is probably going to stick with the "battle in a box" style. LEGO is still mostly marketed toward kids and their parents will feel it's a better value.

Oh My Goodness, this is going to be e GREAT year for LSW! I'm going to have to allow for every single SW set in my budget and probably enough for an extra gunship or two as the older ones are still holding tremendous value. Every one of these sets has figs that I just absolutley have to own.

Yeah, I know. You got blue, green, yellow-green, red, (sith only). Black, brown and grey would make ugly lightsabres. I did outfit my Barriss with a pinkish-purple one, it looks pretty nice.

These guys are awsome! Finally someone made an amazing Vader mech. The red eyes put it over the top. Are the gundam force powered, or are they using a nuclear battery?
-
Lucky! The price is pretty much the only thing keeping me away from that set. I don't know how many times I picked it up and thought,"naah, too much". I will be getting the Hoth battle so maybe I'll get lucky too.
-
Nice review. I'm going to pass on this set anyway. I do want the minifigs and that rancor.

Wow, man! You've got a pretty good setup there. I'm a little jealous of your Falcon and set collection. If this is all yours, It looks very nice. I would love to do a Hoth display like this.
