  1. Sarick unleashes a torrent of frost yet Guts isn't as hurt as he should be. "Everytime I hit him, he hits me. I've got to keep hitting harder." Sarick once again attacks Guts from the back row with ice magic.
  2. Sarick released the lesser surge of magic, felt the ice leave his palm and saw the shards impact his target yet Guts seemed unphased. "Must be some rogue trick" he thought to himself. "I'll have to use a more powerful attack and stop getting nicked by that dagger." Sarick attacked from the back row with ice magic.
  3. Sarick watched the massive damage the barbarian dealt. He lowered his items and once again held his Opal Gem and Dragon's Wrath staff. He slithered down into the pit while the other combatants got out. Sarick focused on the magic and attacked Guts from the back row with an ice spell.
  4. Sarick slithered up to Guts as he got out of the pit. "You won your first duel rather quickly so I assume you have not exhausted yourself. I have rested from my lost duel and wish to duel again while I am here. I, Sarick (Xarrzan), would like to challenge Guts (Scubacarrot), to a duel!"
  5. Sarick rubbed his head and held his chest. The healing energy from the cleric was a relief. "I enjoyed the training fight as well. I will have to get much faster at casting." Sarick gathered up his belongings and found a good spot to watch the up coming duel.
  6. Sarick watched carefully and evaded the attack at the last second. He didnt want to take so much damage like he did in the first round. He was able to let off another shard of ice that hit his target. The rogue was moving backward though when the ice hit and Sarick could tell he took less damage. He took a second to check his wound, it wasn't as deep as he had thought but still hurt. Sarick focused his energy and attacked De'kra from the back row with an ice spell.
  7. OOC: K-nut, are rows irrelevant in the duel? Sarick started the round off with a solid hit. He felt the familiar rush of magic and watched the rogue get pushed back by the shard of ice. Sarick focused too much unfortunately on his attack and sustained massive damage from the lightning knife. He gathered his remaining strength and prepared himself for another spell. I shall attack De'kra from the back row with an ice spell.
  8. Sarick slithered into the pit and swayed back and forth. He looked around at all the spectators then focused on his opponent. He moved to the left and right, not wanting to stay in any location for too long. He decided he'd attack De'kra from the back row with an ice spell. Maybe if he covered this pit with enough ice the rogue might trip up.
  9. Sarick slithered into the Arena after speaking to De'kra in the hall. He looked around until he saw the Battle Board and moved toward it. He wrote: "I, Sarick (Xarrzan), would like to challenge De'kra (Tanma), to a duel!" Once that was complete, Sarick slithered to a side area of the arena. He began neatly folding his extra items up and deposited them on the ground. "I won't be needing these right now and they will only slow me up during the duel." Sarick held his Dragon's Wrath staff and his Opal Gem and waited to be called for the duel.
  10. Sarick read the notice that was left on the table nearby. It spoke of an Arena opening up. He scanned the hall and saw a Hero he had never met before. Sarick uncoiled himself and slithered over to the Hero. "I have heard othersss call you De'kra. I am Sarick, well met. I have heard of the opening of an Arena and I would like to test my skillsss. I challenge you, De'kra the Shade, to a dual in the Arena." Sarick swayed and waited for a response.
  11. Sarick listened to the story and paid attention to every word. "They are heading southward...toward Miranda..." whispered Sarick. He stared off toward the wall, lost in thought. Sarick then snapped his gaze back to Guts. "Keep the dragon killing to a minimum." Sarick slithered back to the fire and coiled next to it.
  12. Sarick was curled near the fireplace for warmth when Guts walked in. Although he thoroughly enjoyed the rain, the cold was another thing. Sarick soaked up heat while Guts made his way to the quest board and then to a table. He watched as Guts deposited his items before him and began drinking. Sarick slowly swayed higher into the air to get a better view. He scanned the items on the table. "...the shovel...the bedroll...cutlass and shortsword...a knife and a potion..." Sarick could not place there being any new items. He recalled all of the items except for the knife, but rogues always carry knives so he dismissed it as being new. Sarick watched Guts for a few more moments before he approached. "Did you travel far from the city? Run into any trouble along the way?"
  13. Sarick slithers back into the hall. He moves to the quest board and reads the quests. "I did not receive improved relations with the Ziegfried in my last quest so I will try again." Sarick signs up for Quest #21 Family History.
  14. Sarick slithers up to Anwyl's shop with a 145 gold to spend. He decides to sell his Shark Fang Dagger (WP:3) for 15 gold. 0 + 15 = 15 gold in possession, leaving him with 160 gold. He then decides to upgrade the quality of his Mockthril Staff (WP: 4) into a WP: 6 staff. WP:4->WP:5(50Gold)->WP:6(60Gold) = 110 Gold. This leaves Sarick with 50 gold remaining. He looks at the staff and the improvements that were made. The smith had followed the aesthetic changes quite well. "I shall name the staff Dragon's Wrath." Sarick slithers past Gneomo's Toolshed. "I'd like to buy a shovel but I can carry only so much." Sarick stops in front of Portia's Potion Shack. He then buys one tonic for 15 gold, leaving him with 35 gold.
  15. Sarick scratched even harder as he entered the library. "I need to find some books on gems, powerful gems..." He was focused. He needed to do some research and didn't even realize he was shedding his skin. Sarick gathered a large stack of books and set them on the table. He read for hours and scratched the entire time. He read through the night and didn't realize how long it had been until the sunlight shown into the library. When he looked at the ground he noticed his former skin on the floor next to him. "Hrm...I don't think the librarian will like this." Sarick cleaned up the dead skin quickly and returned the books. On his way out he looked into a mirror. He saw his new reflection and liked it. He slithered out of the library, off to the Marketplace.
  16. Sarick slithered into the hall. He was missing quite a few scales and he was still scratching. His fangs were quite a bit longer than before he started his quest. He kept slithering, heading to the library.
  17. While the other search the tomb and the mine, Sarick returns to the spot where they fought the vermin. He buries the baby dragon and says a few words. He freezes the burial spot of the dragon over with ice. Once he finishes he scratches himself in a few places and some scales fall off. Sarick does not say much on their journey back. Once they reach the Ziegfrieds Sarick decides to let the others talk and tell their story. He does glance at Nerwen when she says "...the darkness of Haroka walks the world once more. We were unable to prevent them leaving." Sarick slithers his way back to the hall while still scratching a few itchy places.
  18. Sarick did not turn his head but kept his glare locked onto the general. He did clench his jaw at Nerwen's vote. His team had made its decision and he would not turn against them. Sarick let out a long angry hiss before speaking. "Although we part ways today, tomorrow holdsss a different story. Wherever you go general, your evil will spread. It will leave a trail of taint for me to follow. Watch your back as well Sorrow. When you see a lizard bathing in the sunlight, you will wonder if he spysss for me. When a cold breeze chills your bones, you will wonder if I am near. When you hear the beat of wings, you will wonder if I have sent the dragons to claim you lives. The reptiles shall have their revenge and I will lead them to freeze your soulsss." Sarick slithered away from the left statue and through the group. He took up a spot next to the entrance and waited. OOC: No worries Nerwen, vote what you feel like your character would vote. I had fun Rumble Strike and I hope Bioniclover's family gets better soon.
  19. Sarick quit his usual and constant swaying to straighten his spine. He glared angrily at the general. "You're dark magic, that keeps you alive, has made the people of this town sick. But what is worse, you corrupted a green snake, a red snake, a giant Crocodile..and the most evil of all, a baby dragon. My vote, you aren't walking out of here 'alive'."
  20. Sarick tugged as hard as he could but was still unable to remove the sword. "Maybe this wasn't such a great idea" he thought to himself. Since he couldn't return the sword he decided to pile up the surrounding rubble in front of the left statue. If the conversations turned hostile, this statue might come alive and start swinging that sword. Sarick hoped the rubble would delay the statue for a turn or two.
  21. While the two embrace, Sarick slithers over to the left statue and takes the sword back. "I'm just going to take thisss back. You'll be fine without it." Sarick gives the sword back to Knifk.
  22. "The statue on the right hasss one arm up with a sword in its hand and another arm down. The statue on the left has one arm up, empty, and one arm down. Knifk, could you place your new sword into the hand of the statue to the left? I'd rather not give it a weapon but it'sss my only idea right now."
  23. After not finding any yellow stone or hidden loot in the rubble, Sarick decided to slither to the entrance of the tomb. He kept a lookout for any danger from the path they had already travelled and watched the other Heroes' flurry of activity.
  24. While Guts and Gorg worked on the statue to the right of the tomb, Sarick slithered over to the other. He searched the rubble to left of the tomb, specifically searching for the missing yellow stone that he believed was within the rubble. If the right side had two yellow stones, it was safe to assume the left side did as well.
  25. "Good job Guts. I'm glad I didn't get shocked or something for picking the wrong pattern hehe." Sarick picked up a rock and threw it through the doorway and into the room. He listened intently for any movement and waited to see if any traps were set off. Seeing that nothing moved or exploded, he took a deep breath and then slithered into the room. He moved just past the doorway and coiled to the left of the door to give others room to enter but to also not move too far into the room.
