Sarick hissed at the foolishness of the thugs. "I shall attack Thug A with my frost magic from the back row." -

Sarick thought about trying to brush one of the thugs hair and see what would happen, but that might start a provocation. "What types of accidentsss were happening?" -

OOC: Started quest with 10 gold. Recieved 5 gold from the thugs for a total of 15 gold. Bought the hairbrush (like one does in the marketplace). Now have Magic Hairbrush in inventory and 5 gold left. -

As the party entered the very pink shop, Sarick moved and stayed near the window. He kept a look out to see if the shady characters in front of the tavern, or anyone else, were following the group. Sarick browsed the items from his location near the window. He could feel the pulse of magic energy. A hairbrush in particular caught his attention. He could not discern the nature of the item, but it intrigued him. He did not have any hair to brush, but he could always buy a wig and brush that or just brush his scaly scalp. Sarick waited for Nerwen to finish asking her questions before he said, "Dear lady, I am interested in purchasing the Magic Hairbrush for 10 gold. How do I unlock the secretsss of it's magical properties?" -

"The woman at the pink building seemsss far more inviting than the 'gentleman' at the tavern. My vote, head to the magic shop first." -

"I believe we should go to the magic shop and the Tavern. At the least, I think we should go to the magic shop before going to the mine." -

"I do not believe it is wise to split up. But if we do, I'd prefer to go to the magic shop rather than the Tavern." -

"The priestess teachesss us that all sicknesses can be cured, it's just that finding the cure is the hardest part. Jurn, what ingridentsss do you require for your potion? Maybe we can find the ingredients on our way to see Jui." -

Sarick shook his head to regain himself from being stunned. His staff slowly ceased its vibrating now that the prospect of violence was over. Sarick looked at the staff one more time quizically before he strapped it to his back. "Thank you for the gold and the heal Nerwen, it was needed." Sarick ripped off a few scales that were barely hanging on while Feminor spoke. He hoped that Feminor would be off to a grand adventure. As Sarick slithered into the hall he felt some regret. He had hoped to return here after completing a quest, but there was still time. He looked forward to seeing the new barbarian in action. -

"Sorry Dak, I'm not used to how this staff worksss yet." Sarick turned his attention to Nerwen and listened to her directions. Sarick mustered enough strength to pull out his dagger. "I wont make the same mistake this time." Sarick slithered forward to attack the Pegleg Thug from the back row with his Shark Fang Dagger. -
I don't think so. I believe it only heals, and since I can't attack myself with it, I figured I'd heal someone else.

Sarick dashed straight at his opponent with his dagger pointed at the Sharkling. That was a mistake because Sarick took massive damage from the Sharkling's blade. Sarick slithered backwards while holding his wounds. He was in bad shape from the attack. 'Maybe I should have trained with a shield like the knights' he thought to himself. Sarick looked to his left to see Dak fall back stunned. 'I may be low on health, but I can still be helpful' thought Sarick. His staff was humming with excitement. It apparently loved the call of battle. Lifting the staff with one good arm, Sarick moved toward Dak. "While the rest of you battle these thugsss, I shall attack Dak with my Healing Staff from the back row." -

Sarick weaves back and forth, keeping his eyes locked on the enemy as he speaks quickly. "Nerwen, we may never run into foesss that are weak to my magic, or we might run into foes that are completely invulnerable. After I cast a spell against thisss thug I feel that I will be able to cast at least four more spells." Sarick saw the Sharkling Thug twitch so he moved closer to the right to be in front of the thug. "Also, my scalesss are impressive in defense but I may take much damage if I fight this foe up front. Once we defeat these thugs and I get used to casting, I feel I will grow stronger and will be able to cast more often. But if your heals are ready and waiting, I will attack the Sharkling Thug from the front row with my Shark Fang Dagger." -

Sarick nods in agreement of Dak's plan. Sarick will cast an ice spell from the back row against the Sharkling Thug (Khopesh). "You thugsss should not have interrupted our business." -

Sarick was glad to hear the man making jokes. While Dak assisted Vres with walking, Sarick once again moved to the rear of the party. As he kept a look out, Sarick neatly folded the rag with Vres' blood on it and placed it back into a pocket on the inside of his tail coverings. During his exploration of the city, Sarick recalled many people laughing at him and claiming he was wearing a skirt. He didn't really see the difference except he never wore tail coverings that were pink. -

"I agree, we should visit thisss medicine man and then visit this man's wife. We need to check out that magic shop as well." Sarick slithers closer to Vres Halpo. He pulls out a rag and wipes the blood off the man's neck. Sarick stares directly into the man's eyes. "How long hasss your wife worked at the magic shop and who is the owner of said shop? Hasss the owner gotten sick as well?" -

Sarick nods his head to what Dak has to say. He whispers to his team, "I do not have much diplomatic skill. Does anyone else have a way with wordsss that could calm individualsss? I will stay near the rear of the group. I do not want my appearance to frighten the man much more. If I get too close he might get the feeling that I am menacing him." -

Sarick slithered through the alleyways at the back of the party. He kept glancing behind them, to see if anyone was following. "We should stay on alert. There could be thugsss and cutpurses hanging around in these allys." -
Sarick started heading out w/ the group. He pauses when the seasoned Mage spoke. He nodded his thanks and accepted the Healing Staff. Sarick slithered after the rest of the group, making sure to keep up.

Sarick slithered into the hall with hast. He hoped he did not miss anything. Sarick checked the quest board and saw his name. He was the only mage on a quest of magic. This might challenge his magical skills, but he was up to the challenge. Sarick would prove to the Priestess that he had made the correct choice. He would not be a cleric raining down blessings and soothing the pain of others. He would be a successful mage, dealing destruction to his foes and protecting his allies. Sarick was ready.

"You have given me much information. I am much appreciative. Good luck with the rest of your collection." Sarick wandered off into the rows and rows of books. He got lost with the lore he found about dragons. There was so much information and so little time. Little time...Sarick almost forgot! It was soon nearing the time when the first quest he signed up for should have chosen it's heroes. Sarick closed the book he was reading and headed for the Hall, straight to the quest board.

Sarick weaved his way through the open door. He spotted the librarian and slithered toward him. "Well met Byblos. I am Sarick and I come seeking knowledge." Sarick reached one arm behind him and pulled out a banana. He placed it on the libraian's desk. "Scheherazade heard me mention that I wasss heading here and said you might be hungry. I personally do not like bananasss, but they are good for your health." "I am searching for information on dragonsss, dragons of all typesss. Dragons that are mere beasts, dragons of great intelligence, dragons as mountsss, dragon overlords and the list goes on. Anything you know of dragonsss would be helpful. The Priestess said we are in some way related to dragonsss." "I would like to know for pure interest and so I can find out more about thisss little guy." Sarick turns his head and looks at his tail. He hisses softly and waits. A few moments later a reptillian head raises up from his tail. The creature then lifts off of Sarick's tail and rests next to the naga. It looks like a miniature dragon, with a reptilian head and wings, but it's lower body is that of a snake or of a naga. The creature blended in perfectly with Sarick's scales but as it sat next to him, it's color faded to a dark green. "I found him on my journey to thisss city. His ability of camouflage makesss him an excellent hunter. I'm happy he is not bigger." said Sarick w/ his hissing laughter. "He rides around on my tail, and is hard to spot unless you are looking for him." Sarick hissed again and the creature flapped it's leathery wings and landed onto the naga's tail. It made itself comfortable and then blended again w/ Sarick's scales. "I have checked Finnegan's Beastiery but did not see a mention of dragonsss. Is there another tome I can view?"

Sarick did not catch the hero's name but he was sure that he would hear more of the Sargassan in the future. Seeing that the Sargassan and the Elf were communicating well, in their own way, Sarick silently excused himself and weaved through the crowd. He headed out the door in search of the library.
