Glad you enjoyed the quest overall. I planned for it to be a quick quest. When I pitched it to Sandy, I forgot to add that its more of a "hack and slash" type quest. I was trying to make the battles challenging. I intended the party to have a mage and a cleric but none signed up. So I was then trying to make the battles not too hard. Pictures are a difficult part as well. I have other quest ideas but not as many Lego pieces. Basically building the sets is a big limiting factor. No, nothing was missed in the quest. I didn't intend to leave you, or anyone else, .5 level away from their advanced class. The Beholder's Eye is a ring that can be worn on one's finger. Thank you everyone for the feedback. I'm trying to keep track of all the responses in the various forums.

Hah, I had already forgiven you. If I hadn't then Singerson would have sung something negative about Johon instead of something positive hehe.

"I do not have any fundsss and do not intend to purchase anything. I am ready to travel to the Dragon's Hoard Tavern once everyone has perused this 'gentleman's' wares," said Sarick.

The party decided to head back to the Quarry entrance to meet back up with the Quarry owner. They found the miner, still drunk and asleep leaning against a rock. The Quarry owner was standing with his mouth agap. As the heroes approached he promptly closed his mouth and cleared his throat. "I could see the whole thing from here so no need to explain what went on. You all completed your task so you'll receive your reward. Now, down to the details. Your reward was 150 gold, three shovels and two pickaxes. I'm a friendly guy and I'm in a generous mood. You defeated that giant spider so I'll throw in 150 gold. You scared away a dragon so I'll throw in an extra 500 gold. You also cleared out some rock worms, but those are easy to get rid of and wasn't the problem so I'll throw in only 20 more gold." said the Quarry owner. The Quarry owner did some calculations in his head before saying, "That comes out to be 820 gold for a reward." The Quarry owner counted out the money and started to hand it over then retracted his hand. "Ah, thats right I forgot to take out the deductions. You defeated the spider but you left spider goo all over the battle scene and now I've got to hire an exterminator to come take away the body. I'll have to deduct 200 gold for that. Then you left quite a few dead dragon babies littering the quarry floor. I'll have to deduct another 300 gold for that clean up. You also found a great treasure horde, but didn't stop the large dragon from collapsing stone on top of it and damaging my quarry wall. It will take me a week, actually one day hehe, to clear out all that rubble and get to the treasure beneath. That's another 200 gold I'll have to deduct. Also there is the fact that you left your litter in my quarry, empty bottles and broken shovels that I'll have to clean up. I'll have to deduct 200 for that as well." The quarry owner did some more calculations. "Alright, all done. That leaves us with you owing me 80 gold coins for clearing out this quarry. But, like I said, I'm such a generous guy. I'll forgive your debt and throw in 150 gold coins, three shovels and two pickaxes. Tell your friends about how friendly and forgiving I am!" At that the Quarry owner dropped the bag of gold, shovels and pickaxes at the party's feet. He then walked over to the sleeping miner. "He'll take you heroes back in the wagon when you're all ready. Just kick him awake." With that the Quarry owner walked into the quarry to assess the damage. Party Leader, how will the loot be distributed? Gold - 150 gold coins. Shovel - 3 Shovels Pickaxe - 2 Pickaxes QM Note - You have all completed the quest! Congratulations! I'd appreciate any feedback you want to give either through Rules and Discussion, Quest Masters Lounge or PM. Let me know what you liked, didn't like and your assessment.

Sarick accepted the letters from Emeraldo. "We will return with the medical suppliesss before midday." "The medical supplies are most likely guarded well, so they can wait for our arrival. I believe it will be beneficial to visit both locations before the docks. I'd say visiting the Vendor's Square first would be best. It would be good to lower the amount of funds we have before visiting a shady tavern. Russel, lead on to the Vendor's Square." said Sarick.

OoC: Corrected Guts' health. "We're almost done with this battle! We slaughtered those worms like they were cattle!" sang Singerson. Results of Round Nine of Rock Worm Battle: Knifk vs. Diamond Eater - Damage Hybros vs. Diamond Eater - Damage >Guts vs. Diamond Eater - Damage >Johon Diamond Eater - Shield ........[(7 + 12) / 2 = 10] >Elgar vs. Diamond Eater - Hit .........[9 + 12 = 21] The battle against the Rock Worms continued. The Diamond Eater flung itself at Knifk, dealing 2, then bounced off his shield to strike at Hybros for 8 damage, then rolled across the floor to hit Guts' ankles for 4 damage. Johon went berserk from farther back and slashed both worms for 10 damage. The Aquamarine Eater crumbled to dust. Elgar's bolt tore through the Diamond Eater, for 21 damage, which shattered into pieces. THE BATTLE IS VICTORIOUS! Knifk, Hybros, Johon and Elgar each gained a level of experience! Guts gained a half level of experience! The Rock Worms leave behind only dust. "You heroes are very capable indeed and I feel any person or item will be safe with Heroes of Heroica! That is why I am intrusting you with this." Singerson hands over an item. "It is the first of three items that I am searching for. I don't mind handing it over for safe keeping. And don't worry about selling it or giving it away to another hero. I was able to track it to a dragon's horde, I'm sure I can track it to whatever hero or merchant ends up with the item." Party Leader, how will the artifact be distributed? I'm off to find the next artifact and I might call on heroes to assist me if I have difficulty obtaining it. But don't you worry, I'll sing about all your praises as I travel!" Singerson said while trotting up the path to the quarry entrance. The beginning of his song could be heard as he traveled "The Orcish knight blocks attacks with might! The rogue with a scythe is actually rather nice! The hidden face rogue might lace your drink with toad, poison! The well equipped barbarian will hide then attack like a carrion, bird! The ranger never speaks to any animals, he'd rather bolt them to his wall! The party never drinks healing potions! Even though they fought in a dusty quarry! Knifk, oh Knifk, the ladies want him! Hybros, oh Hybros, if you face him you're toast! Guts, oh Guts, will kick all your butts! Johon, oh Johon, if you face him he'll bring it on! Elgar, oh Elgar, will shoot you from oh so far! Those are the Heroes of the Quarry Clean-Up Quest!"

While Galen spoke Sarick brought the headress back out. He tasted the air around it for any foul magic. Upon not sensing anything, Sarick put the headress onto his head to see how it fit. Maybe soon he will be able to summon minions. "I am glad you two got rid of the cultistsss and have made it back safely. Are the raised villagers nearby? We will need to dispose of them if they are a threat. What did the ambassador look like?" Sarick turned to the guide and said "Are there any other passage waysss for us to take?"

"At your request good Knight" said Singerson. One note on the guitar was strummed and the clear blue sky turned cloudy. The scene around the party darkened and the heroes looked around at the strange weather change. Even the worms wiggled around, thinking they might be back underground. "The girl..." sang Singerson as another single cord was strummed. The clouds dropped a light drizzle onto the group. "...all alone..." another strum of the guitar caused a downpour to fall upon the landscape. "Her parents...gone...the girl...scared...the floods...too strong..." Singerson played a very slow song. All combatants stopped their attacks to listen to the song. A single tear fell from the bard's eye. The worms began to leak mud from their face. The torrential downpour washed over the quarry. Hybros began to float above the water. He seemed to soak up some of the water, become saturated and then stood up. "It is done." Singerson's sad song brought Hybros back to the waking world. Knifk attacked the Diamond Eater but it curled into a ball and hardened its shell. Hybros struck a critical strike against the hated Diamond Eater dealing 27 damage. Guts followed the same attack and dealt a critical strike against the Sapphire Eater for 30 damage. The Sapphire Eater crumbled to dust. Johon struck the Diamond Eater again with his Sword of Decay for 9 damage. The Sapphire Eater flung itself at Elgar's legs, trying to trip the Ranger but Knifk was ready with his shield and blocked the attack. The Aquamarine Eater's attack was blocked by Knifk's shield as well. The Diamond Eater's insides were burned by the poison for 1 damage. Both of the remaining worms decayed for 6 damage. Sarick handed one bone to Nerwen. "I am done here, let's head back to the crossing and meet up with the othersss." Sarick placed the headress in a bag for later inspection.

OoC: True, the Blind Sapphire Eater did not hit you because it was blind. But the Aquamarine Eater did hit you. No one in the party targeted the Aquamarine Eater and Knifk kept the same battle order, so the first person in the order received the free hit. Johon was the first person in battle order and received 7 damage [13hp - 7 dmg = 6hp remaining]. "I didn't know you guys loved my songs this much! That must be why you came to battle these worms," said Singerson.
-
That demon hit harder than Sarick expected. He felt the soothing waves of energy flow over his body and was pleased. "Thank you for the heal Nerwen." Sarick decided to see if he could take the summoner's headress. He then searched the area for any passages leading in directions the party hadn't explored yet and searched for any documents the cultists might have left out that outlined their plans. Sarick picked up the potions and bones. He looked into the potions deeply then flicked out his tongue above the lids to see if he could smell anything. He shook the blue one lightly and stared at it again. "I do not know what these potionsss do...so use them at your own discretion." Sarick then handed one Red Potion to Nerwen, handed one Green Potion to Xander, handed one bone and Purple Potion to De'kra, and pocketed one bone and Blue Potion for himself [sarick].
