Mafia School: A Bedtime Story - Conclusion
Scubacarrot replied to Sandy's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Thanks... I guess, Although I think you have me confused with Chromeknight haha. -
The process of becoming a hunter is harder than one would think. Through a series of rituals and consuming varies vague mixtures, the Hunter's vision is enhanced, granting them the ability to track what they want, but it comes with a cost. A side-effect of the concoctions is that the vocal cords, ears, and several pieces of the lower cortex in the brain are damaged, which is the reason they can no longer speak to animals, after becoming a hunter.

Heroica RPG - Quest #26: Quarry Clean Up

Don't know if Bioniclover is going to be absent for a long time, so I think we can all agree on this. "Knifk, attack the Wood Dragonling, from the front row. We attack in the order: Me, Hybros, Knifk, Johon, Elgar. Singer man, provide us with Luck support!" -
Mafia School: A Bedtime Story - Conclusion

Ah, shows how good my time-line of EB mafia game holds up! -
Why not twist it around? I feel that the Hinckwells are currently seen as 'the good guys', even though they are just as bad as the other houses. I personally think it would be much more interesting if it were the Shadeaux that hired the heroes, and the Hinckwells to hire the privateers.

Mafia School: A Bedtime Story - Conclusion

Well done to the players, especially the scum! This is the first time scum won, since Belville Mafia, if I am correct? This game was beautifully done, I loved the style of the pictures and scenes. -
Sorry, Let me rephrase: In quest 26, we are currently fighting a "Wood" type monster. Am I correct in assuming that this is the same as the "plant" type? As "Wood" is not actually in the rules. I am asking, since my weapon deals double damage against plant monsters.

ooc: I should have full health and no potion "I suggest the bard sings his lucky song, and that we silence these mongrels before they know what hit em." Guts moved in to attack the Wood Dragonling from the front row! -
Question: Wood equals Plant monster's right?

10 gold :) Shields use the same formula as weapons for selling (and buying).

No, Battle Mage is the combo of barbarian and mage... EDIT: too slow.

I am by no means an expert, but a bedroll is indeed a very handy thing to have, but tonics are still useful, for example, Several quests so far have been something like a chain of battles, with very little time in between. QM's would not allow you to use the bedroll, in that scenario, so tonics are still useful. And obviously, if you run out in battle, they are good to have. On the second matter, I don't know, really. I see the nimbus broomstick as a very situational weapon, only useful when a single hit from the front row would kill you. Of course, it would also be good in the Arena, against other players, since you are able to attack at full power from the back. The healing staff is basically only good for support, since it heals what it hits, (of course it hurts the undead). So if you choose that, you still want to have another weapon to be able to go offensive.

1. Bedrolls can only be used out of combat to rest, to restore health AND ether, but can only be used at a QM's discretion, for example, don't expect to be able to use one in the middle of a battlefield, between waves or something. 2. It is an artifact, they can NOT be upgraded. 3. That is correct. But it lasts 3 turns, so in reality the chances of it being succesful is slightly higher. 4. It makes you able to heal people without ether, yes. It is also capable of damaging undead. 5. Yes, which means that it will attack at full power from the back row. Hope this helps

Heroica RPG - Quest #26: Quarry Clean Up
Scubacarrot replied to Xarrzan's topic in The Heroica Archive
Guts watched as the others prepared themselves for battle. The ranger, Elgar, was checking his seemingly endless supply of crossbow bolts, and the short guy with the hat and the scythe was apparantly doing his best keeping several mixtures in, the fool, everyone knew that the combination of Mead and Smelling Salts caused stomach aches. The figures in the distance approached slowly, Guts could not quite make them out, but he was sure it was more brood of the dragon. If they were anything like the last ones they dispatched, they would not be a problem. It was not common for a dragon to lay this many eggs at once, at least no dragon Guts ever heard off, and if these dragonlings were larger than the last ones, the only possible explanation was that the ones they fought first were weaklings: there is no way this dragon brooded multiple times, at least not in the last decade or so. While Guts checked, fastened and wiped dirt and blood off his armour, a combination of leather strips, steel links, plate-metal, and his signature wrappings, his memory wandered to the last time he fought a dragon like this, his only time, and he thought it would be his last. "The mountain was dark, cold, treacherous, but mostly cold. For almost a month, a slightly younger Guts Holla had trained among the warriors of the Hellpeak clan. Tough, skilled, and above all: Without fear, these warriors were. The reason Guts was here? Vengeance. It was always about vengeance, all tragedies were. Or love, but that is not why he was on the mountain. Guts was a guest of the Hellpeak clan, allowed to stay, only because he managed to walk the path to were the clan was, alone, and unarmed, through the blizzards, and dealing with the dangers that the path held, be it living or not. The Hellpeak clan was strong, and Guts wanted to be strong, strong enough, at least. The training would have killed most men. The cold days started with standing under icy waterfalls for hours, involved fighting people twice his size, with half the equipment and often ended without any sort of nutrition. The training was overseered by the strongest of the clan, who had endured the same training as well. It goals seemed vague, but it worked, The Hellpeak clan was strong, feared even, by many other Norse clans, they were not spoken about, since it was whispered they feared no Gods. But Guts did not care, he was punching frozen boulders with his bare fists, and dragging equipment through meter's high snow. In short, it was the worst month of the rogue's life. And then... The dragon was spotted. Back then, it all made sense. Of course you attack the Elder dragon, as large as a moderately sized fort, with paws as large as houses, teeth the size of broadswords and wings you see only in nightmares. The Hellpeak clan lived for fighting, and this was a fight alright. Not long after the initial spotting, a plan was made, the warriors would attack the beast at dawn, whilst it was hunting. The plan was stupidly simple: The best warriors would draw it's attention, waiting for an oppertunity to take it's eyes out or if they were lucky, one of the paws. The rest would stay back, and support cover by throwing spears, in order to cripple it's wings. It seemed like a better plan back then. It was a bloodbath, but what did they actually expect? A massive, firebreathing dragon with the strength of an army, versus a few dozen of warriors, armed with nothing but their steel, not even the magic kind, too. Siege engines would have been handy, or a couple of mages... Tales from the Empire say that dragons are majestic creatures, capable of speaking, and sometimes even befriending mortals. This dragon wanted none of these things, as soon as it came into sight, it attacked, the first flames scorched several of the best men, and that was before anyone was even in position. The battle was long, exhausting, and brutal, finally, when the sun began to set, the dragon started to stagger. It was bleeding from uncountable places, it lost an eye, it wings were nothing more but useless flaps of meat then. And only eight of the men were standing, Guts one of them, scorched, bleeding, his already scarred face further marked. Dying, the dragon was not done, it's last cry caused an avalanche, exactly where the camp of the Hellpeak clan was, along with the women and children. The dragon's last deed was making sure the Hellpeak clan would never recover. Guts then just left, the few remaining members of the Hellpeak clan scattered, and are now either dead or mercenaries in some warband, where nobody has ever heard of the Hellpeak clan. The bards like to sing about slaying dragons. How they tell the stories, it seems so glorious, but the truth, is different." -
What are you even saying here? If you have read anything, you know we are going to be up against multiple enemies, not the dragon again. Also: You have not even seen the stats of the battle? Why are you writing that, it's not like you are going to be away for a time, right? I don't get it, please explain... Excuse me, I am off to write some unnecassary roleplaying.

Ah nevermind, I should have read stuff before I wrote anything, I get it now.

Uhm... Legoman273... You realize you can't use crossbows, right?

They can all be found in the general Discussion and Announcement topic, on the top of the Mafia and Role playing games section -
Maybe you two are right, I seem to be shouting "This is OP uggggh" a lot lately .
-
No offense, but that seems really overpowered, since you are basically adding another item slot for a character, effectively causing one character to be much powerful than others, if all slots are used

Incidentally, today I had a shield in a CM6 roman, that was bend. I called Lego, and they gave me a choice: Either get a random CM6 set, or a minifigure of choice from all other sets, except licensed. This is great service in my opinion, it is too bad I won't get a new shield, but I can imagine it would be hard to do that, with the CM's being made in China and all.
