  1. Then clearly you should support the faction that supports good ol' dungeoncrawling and adventurer-values.
  2. Haha, shows how differently kids interpretate those kind of things. I always thought they were like the robin hood type faction.
  3. It's kind of interesting that even though Sandy, the loremaster for the Wolfgang has been trying to push them one way, people clearly have been portraying the Wolfgang in another way. That, I think, shows that clearly there is some form of mostly consensus over what they are or how they operate among the players.
  4. Because Kulkulkan has no fate in the Houses. Ultimately we can all find things we'd think as odd moves, but it's a fantasy games and we need to suspend our disbelief. But that doesn't mean that it's not a very interesting move, I think, more than anything else. It's cool, anyways, and it could be a great way for the Wolfgang to gather some much needed goodwill. Goodwill among heroes, at least.
  5. "If you say so. Last time we had an Aepyornis cart, or whatever those bird-things are called. As for our plan back, David asked us to let hem know we found. Is our intention to travel back overland to a Kingdom port, or are we taking ship in Vhim-Lhzar? If Western Baltarok is our destination, we might even be able to save a chunk of time to Etheria by travelling south-west, provided there is a ship to be found in those regions." Guts pointed out. It would be an awkward travel to Etheria any way they'd slice it, as effectively the Lower Kingdoms and the continent of Mistaria blocked a direct searoute to the place, requiring more overland travel.
  6. That's because we have the power of roleplay.
  7. Because in the other factions the chosen ruler would obviously decide the ranks.
  8. "What happened to the cart we had?"
  9. But Ulric's Wolfgang is made up of criminals (who, sure, he claims are former criminals) and his tactics are not clean either. Nevermind all that, he can claim what he wants to do all he wants (and who would trust him, except those he coaxes with bread, gifts and promises?), but the one thing that has remained consistent with the Wolfgang from the beginning is that Ulric desires to be King of Eubric, and he wants the Houses destroyed. Sure he claims to want equality, but he's not in a position to give that to anyone if the Houses collapse. Anyways, I'm straying too close to the line of my suspension of disbelief.
  10. Just because there are no laws, does not mean that people are unable to realize that stealing, cheating, blackmail, assault, murder etc are morally wrong.
  11. Meh, I thought higher of Kulkulkan. I mean, we knew he was desperate, but to join up with criminals seems a bit out of character for him. I suppose it would be to have 2 veterans on each side?
  12. "You know, you have a real way with words, when you set your mind to it, Dyric. It means a lot. Now, we've got a fountain to find. Daneeka, who is our contact in the area?"
  13. But who is Harbringer and who is the Collector Commander, I wonder...
  14. "My campaign...?" Guts blinked. "No, I was just wondering if you would be my drinking buddy, you see, Hybros can barely keep a drink down, Nerwen disapproves of my habit, and Hoke still likes to pretend he disapproves of me... I shouldn't jest so much, of course I was talking about my campagin, yes." The marauder takes a deep breath. "You must have heard the call for a leader for Eubric has been sounded, as I suspected it would be. You've also then heard I have joined the Crescent Union, which... seem to be more progressive, than the Sungold Alliance, that prefer things would remain as they were before the Wolfgang arrived. I feel like Eubric would not flourish with a King. What we saw back there, with the Red Lizards, Eubric can and will never become that, things are too different now. What Eubric needs is a push. A government, but not an absolute ruler. I want to make Eubric a democracy." Guts raises his fist in a traditional Orcish greeting. "Well met, good to see you again, General." "No... At this point, we pretty much know everyone." Guts introduces Matthias and Daneeka to Gor and vice versa.
  15. "And who decides who is innocent, you? And I quite enjoy doing unnecessary things, thank you very much, kiddo." To Mortimer, Calamity says: "Sounds like you guys messed up." Calamity perks up at hearing Heroes can not die. "That's so cool. Imagine the possibilities. Keliim, would you maybe mind assisting me again, later. I got some ideas." Calamity thankfully sips the Mulled Wine.
  16. Guts changes his pace for a moment to walk next to Dyric, and says to him: "Hey Dyric, can I ask you a serious question, for when we're back in Eubric? We've quested together very often, and you're an often silent strength that I know I can rely on always. I won't begrudge you if you say no to my request, but I'd be very grateful if you'd say yes."
  17. "Surely you do not expect to us to fight a child. What exactly is going on here?!" Calamity demanded.
  18. Guts bows his head in thanks with a slight mocking smile playing on his lips as he catches the purse. He quickly passes it on to Dyric. To David's request, he answered: "If our journey allows it, of course." At the bridge, Guts halts a moment. Absently, he taps his shoe on a faded stain on one of the tiles of the structure. Then the aging man continues walking, his shoulders ever so slightly lower than they were before.
  19. Now that is the kind of sneaky thinking we need in the Crescent Union.
  20. In a pink puff of smoke, two golden statuettes suddenly popped into existence near Guts. One had "Badass" inscripted in it's base, the other read: "Optimized". Guts picks them up, and shrugs as he stows them away. He wondered what that was all about, but it was not nearly one of the strangest things that ever happened during the Strivvian's time with Heroica.
  21. Consequently
  22. Do the players involved in the Nose incident get an award? Because I notice Capt. John Paul doesn't have one.
  23. "First visit." Guts corrects the king. "But perhaps not the last. Thank you for your hospitality, my Lord."
