Silver City Mafia: Day 3 - Winchester '73

Day vig, day serial killer, poisoner, all posibilites. I for one, approve. Anyone who says: I don't care if you lynch me, isn't going to be helpful anyway, right? I'm going to join the vote for Connie right now, I really hope she will speak up. Vote: Connie (Clanure) -
I'd be okay with it. I'd also be okay with a change that only let's you steal from humanoid enemies.

It's nothing to apologize for. I'd say a Barbarian's attraction is not Natural Respite. For Guts at least due to Lifestealer, it's not even used, most of the time. It's convenient sometimes, but that's all. And there are often oppertunities for resting as well. Instead, a Barbarian's typical high damage output is the big attraction. Extra Critical hits are a wonderful thing.

Silver City Mafia: Day 3 - Winchester '73

The second doesn't invalidate the first. It seemed counterproductive to me, I said that, but literally no one other than Ester and Caleb could realistically be lynched. Both are/were true, right? -
That is incorrect. WP: 29 x 3 = 87 + 2 Power Bonus from artifact, + Level 26 = 115. And keep in mind Guts will be encouraged in 90% of the cases, and most of the enemies will be weak against his weapon as well.

Silver City Mafia: Day 3 - Winchester '73

I think there may be merit in going after the people that were pushing for Esther over Caleb on day One. Keep in mind that Esther had softclaimed, and everyone pretty much suspected she had a role, while Caleb had claimed vanilla (later in the day). Still, a likely power role would be much better to have lynched than a normal vanilla townie. That said: Connie made such avote, and without any reasoning behind it, claiming to be short on time. And as others have said, she hasn't contributed much at all. Perhaps some input, Connie? -

There could be a cult. -
May I ask why people are asking for a buff for Knights in the first place? They have their advantage. Basically they have one more item than everyone else, their shield. If anything I would half all upgrade costs for shields, but I don't think just making more complicated rules is going to solve anything.

Right. I should say Esther told me she was suspicious of Jessica because she claimed to her to be suspicious of some people, but ended up voting for Kane who was not on that original list. -
Nevermind, Dyric got that in Quest 9.

Didn't you make the second Lucky Die?

The raider stared back. Eventually, he answered: "You're hard to read, Hybros. Very well, just promise me you'll tell me when the job's done. And keep in mind you're in charge, a leader that's not there makes a poor leader." The raider started walking off, to find Lady Felix, then stopped, and added: "Oh, and make sure you don't bring Guffington's life in danger, not even if that doesn't fit with the plans of your precious Ji Pei."

The raider put two fingers on his forehead, slowly, he said: "You were after something else, were you not?"

"Hybros was lost. He was instinctly drawn to the shiny box and mace. He couldn't help it. His poor communication skills caused him to fail at explaining things. It's his nature. Coming from me, and covered in flattering words, she'll believe it. I wasn't aware all the guests had rooms here. What were you doing there, to begin with, Hybros?"

"What exactly did you do, Hybros? I'll try to smooth things over with Lady Felix. In the meantime, Daneeka, do you have another book, a less important one, written in a language Marsh should not be able to understand?"

The raider raised an eyebrow. "How much gold? The chef, was the poisoner, I am certain of it." Guts shows Hybros the note he found.

Nyx, Arthur, Alexis. From the top of my head. Even though I have only completed one quest, I technically am a QM, so I can give my opinions regarding balance, I think. And changes should never be implemented retroactively.
-
I said I was dropping it, didn't I?
-
Flipz, I don't agree at all with a lot of your points, but there you go. I am going to drop it. Again, sorry for sounding like a dick. Not a personal attack, but an attack on the item. Maybe this will get a continuation when you start raking in 1000s of gold per battle. Who knows.

Silver City Mafia: Day 2 - Day of the Outlaw

Okay.....? You realize you seriously hurt the town with this, Esther. And what was that stupid PM about? Unvote: Zachary, Vote: Esther Thompson. -
I have far from the strongest character in Heroica. I want to have a balanced game. Best way to deal with all of it? Remove all gold gaining abilites.
-
Jebediahs, by that logic raiders should not have had to be nerfed. (they had to be nerfed) I'll say this once, and in the future, I will deny this every time, but rogue classes have a clear advantage and are easily the most powerful class in Heroica. Heroica is not balanced by any means, but playing a rogue is the most flexible, and easy way to become powerful in this game. Getting gold is an actual issue for non rogue classes, or people that never dual classed into rogue. The only easy way for those people to get a decent amount of gold is the Fields, and that's not everyone's cup of tea. In a game where a lot of power (and flexibility) comes from gold, this seems like a problem. Of course it's not so bad as before the raiders nerf, thousands of gold in a battle is not okay by any stretch, where someone else might get barely 50 in a whole quest. Rogues have that advantage, yet from the advanced classes onwards don't suffer in terms of power modifiers (e.g. attacks or roles). Rogue I'd say is the least powerful basic class if you don't take the gold into account. This is not the reason we have so many rogues, I like to think it's for roleplaying reasons, rogues are hip with the kids. Overkill gloves basically give you the power of being a rogue (probably more powerful even that that), e.g. lots of gold if used remotely right, but can be carried by anyone, even rogue classes themselves, effectively turning them into a double rogue. Meaning you'll get effectively twice the gold a regular rogue would get, which is already a multiplier of what non rogue classes get. What I am getting at is this: Rogues and their advanced classes are overpowered. Overkill gloves are overpowered. Together, they create Arthur, the soon to be Personification of Mercutio, the patron of the rich. And Endgame, that seems fair to me.
-
I don't see that logic at all. That item would be powerful in any class that has a decent amount of being lucky and decent damage. Imagine it in the hands of a Raider, Battlemage, Hunter? Take that thing to two Field battles and you could retire. I'm not meaning to be a dick, but it's blatantly overpowered, in my opinion. That doesn't matter if it's because it fits well, if he wasn't thought to be able to get it or whatever, he's able to get absurd amounts of cash really easily, that's the facts, and I would nerf it. You obviously don't feel the same way, that's fine, I guess. It's your call.
