  1. Very good landscape, I like your color choices I think a complete border, or none at all would work a little better than the half border you have going now. Great introduction build and story
  2. Very neat architecture, I like the diagonally placed 1x1 plates especially. Great facial choice on the guy in the last picture
  3. Good use of dark blue here. The flag is a nice touch, and I like the tackling pose. The unattached border looks good here. Approved
  4. I too like the wall texture, and the little wood floor looks great as well The white guy looks great, combo wise and posing
  5. Very amusing build I think a few leaves, non-green plants, rocks, or some small pebbles or something to break up the grass plates and grass would be a nice addition. The mummy's posing is great, and I like the little drink he has
  6. Thanks! Thanks Kai Thanks Disco The difference here is pretty hard to see, you can see it a little in this picture if you look closely: I have another build coming soon, that uses the same technique with much more noticeable results. Thanks! Thank you, I really enjoy doing snowy builds Thanks Graham Thanks, and here's some WIP pics: As you can see, the rock sections are at slight angles, I can notice it a bit in the finished build, but of course, I know it's there The build in the background uses the technique more obviously.
  7. I tried a new rockwork technique (for me anyways), that uses technic bricks and pins to tilt each column of rock. And I did a hinging wall again, for the first time in a while, on the tower. It had been another uneventful morning for the two guards stationed at the Noror Watchtower, besides an unusually cold wind, everything seemed normal. The guards were on edge however, for there were many rumours of strange happenings in the north of Mitgardia. It was Kapp, the archer, who first noticed a group of figures approaching the tower. "Look there," Kapp said, "can you see if they're friends or foes?" "They seem to blend into the snow, but they could be clansmen on their way to the village," Svigi replied. As the group advanced toward the tower, it quickly became apparent that they were not clansmen. The odd figures were clad in white, and there seemed something unnerving about them. Kapp and Svigi readied their weapons, and eyed the oncoming band with apprehension. When they were within earshot, Svigi called out: "Halt in the name of Mitgardia! What is your business in these lands?" They offered no reply but kept on towards the tower, Kapp fired a warning arrow in front of the group, but they paid no attention to it, and continued their relentless march towards the tower. By now the two guards were quite sure the menacing squad meant only harm, so Kapp and Svigi prepared to hold the tower. But instead of storming the tower door, one of the party lowered his strange looking axe toward the tower and began making odd noises. The Mitgardians looked on in disbelief as what seemed to be a stream of ice began flowing toward the tower and then surrounding the walls. Kapp realized in a moment that the spectre meant to trap them inside the tower, and quickly headed for the door, calling to Svigi to do the same. They burst outside, knowing only too well that they had no chance of overpowering these new enemies, but determined to give their all defending Mitgardia. More pictures: link C&C welcome
  8. Aymeri's men seem to have trouble believing their good fortune Lovely water and river banks, approved
  9. Looks like Djonni is a good bug exterminator Approved
  10. Lovely tree Great reeds and border too, definitely approved
  11. Great tents, and you really captured a busy campsite atmosphere. Excellent desert landscape and figs too, approved
  12. I like the mix of studs up and SNOT rockwork, very smooth The little section of aqueduct looks pretty good, but a tad too flat on top, a few irregularly placed cheese slopes or plates would add to the ruined look. Approved
  13. Great cliff and jungle undergrowth. I like the guys wading too, approved
  14. Tremendous posing, very dynamic! Neat little base too
  15. Wow Great to see more Norse styled builds, you've done a wonderful job with these buildings. The battlements, scaffolding/railing, barrel beams, and hinge use are my favorite parts Lovely well too, I hadn't thought of using that roof design for a well, but it works perfectly
  16. Great color and plant use Excellent path texturing and figure posing/facial choices. Approved
  17. I like the SNOT dark bley for the ground, but it'd be even better if you reversed the angle so we saw the top of the bricks facing towards us, rather than the bottom. Great fig posing, too. You keep getting better, approved
  18. Neat large barrel design Great fig combos and posing too. I think a few tan/dark tan tiles mixed into the landscape would look good. Approved
  19. Neat irregular base and I like how you did the oar and bubbles. The boat's not bad for your first try, I think making it a little slimmer would improve it though.
  20. The 1 wide section of dark bley around the water looks a little out of place, having the water extend right up to the border would look better in my opinion. Nice touch with the little tree and I like the armor scattered around
  21. I like the patches of green plates underneath the grass. And having the soldier tied to the stake is a nice touch
  22. Is there any sort of standard the seasoned builders use to determine their approval of an entry? Overall quality of the build? How well it compares to the builder's previous MOCs? Also, does it need to be specified that the is signifying approval? That I ask mainly because I like to use the thumbs up emote with pretty much every comment I make Currently it seems all builds are being approved without any hesitation, which is fine, but it seems to defeat the purpose of the approval rule.
  23. I always enjoy your stories Neat little section of pasture
  24. Very cool build, Alfadas. Glad to see you taking part, even though you're on the wrong side
  25. I like the wall texture, but I feel having it angled isn't that effective for this small interior scene. Also, some windows, arches, or buttresses would look nice in the wall. Good fig posing, and a clever idea for an assassination
