  1. This usually works for me.
  2. I don't know if it can be clearer: THOSE PICTURES ARE NOT OF THE ACTUAL PRODUCTS! The actual things won't even be made of bricks! Jeez...
  3. Jeez! $55 for THAT? No thanks!
  4. You people must not be able to read, which if was the case, you shouldn't be posting on a forum. I think that this is a smart move, business wise, considering they could be getting more kids who are caught up into the video games and ipods and such, who wouldn't normally play with Lego, introduced to the brand. I really personally think that today's kids are too interested in electronics, and they should do more creative things, like Lego, or art. Good Idea Lego!
  5. I want to make it clear that I am not trying to copy Tin-mann's great Office figures, I just took this photo of the figures I made for my Office vigs to use as my signature. I just thought I'd share them over here. Left to right- Pam Beesly, Jim Halpert, Michael Scott, and Dwight Schrute. Thanks for looking -darthperson
  6. Haha! I didn't want to put in his whole speech and bore you people to death! But I should have put in a dememtor figure behind him!
  7. Ok, I have another Office vig. This one is based on the episode "The Convict". Michael finds out through corporate that there is an ex-convict that is a part of his staff, and he tries to figure out which of the new employees transfered from the Stamford branch went to prison. They narrow it down to the new guy, Martin, and after talking to him about his prison experience, the Dunder Mifflin employees think that prison is much better than work. In another one of his crazy "meetings", Michael tries to prove them wrong by introducing his "friend" Prison Mike... -darthperson
  8. Wow. Calm down there buddy. Its only a movie. As for the Palpatine's arrest, I really can't see them making this into a $100 set. If they did it as a $20-$30 set, with just Palpatine, Anakin, Mace, and Kit, as well as some office furniture and a breakble window, it would be great. But if they went the $100 route, maybe they would go so far as to include Anakin's speeder, a hallway, a few Senate pods and arena (maybe Yoda so their duel can be recreated?), and some Royal guards. They could go any of those routes and still make a good set. Who knows, I can't wait till we get pics though.
  9. Sorry! I thought I was forgetting something, I added design as a poll choice.
  10. Wow! One night while falling asleep I was thinking about that! That is too funny!
  11. With Lego's recent surge of new pieces (especially minigure headpieces), I'm sure its safe to say that its a new piece.

    City '09?

I don't think its a plane tubine. After the demand for 4999 over the summer, I'm pretty confident that Lego saw the potential of releasing a widely availible version and acted upon it. Besides, we haven't had airplane/plane sets (with the exception of postal) since 2006, 3 years ago.
  13. I'm shocked no one has mentioned this, but what is the deal with the carrot?

    City '09?

    When did they say that?
  15. I thought this would be an interesting poll and discussion, to see what you consider important when buying a Lego set. The poll explains itself. Happy discussion. -darthperson
  16. I very highly doubt that the Pirate Tank will be a UCS set. I'm sure they have many guidelines when they choose what UCS sets to produce, like how iconic it is to the franchise. I don't think that many adults (target buyers of UCS) will want to buy an expensive set of a vehicle featured in one episode of the Clone Wars.
  17. Wow. That is just terrible. I can't beleive that your volunteered your time and money, and were treated so horribly. Not to mention your Christmas was ruined. I am glad you finally got reimbursed, and it worked out. It is still a mess of a situation though...
  18. Best: Tie between Indiana Jones and any of the clone troopers Worst: Any of the Factory figures. They are either a mish-mash of ones from other themes, or they are covered in stickers.
  19. I agree with this. I really don't see the big deal when we give our opinion of a set, we take price in as a factor when giving it. It is possibly the one thing that can make or break a great set. This would be a great value at half of the price. I know others have it worse, but its still bad. Done with talking about price. Anyway, this is a fantastic set, with fantastic figures. I love Dooku and how they were clever and gave the pilot droid the skeleton leg for a head. They got away with giving Dooku Palpatines hair, and I think it works nicely, much better than the standard male hair would, like the old version. Thanks for a great review!
  20. I hadn't. Thanks for pointing that out! And welcome to Eurobricks, Specever!
  21. I orginally posted this in the other thread, but I thought people who already looked at my first two would have a better chance of looking in a new topic, as opposed to one they've already seen. Anyway, I made two more Office Vigs, and I thought I'd share. This one is from "The Injury". Michael burns his foot on a George Forman Grill ( ) and Dwight races to rescue him, and ends up crashing his car into a pole and getting a concussion. While in the hospital for a very "out of it" Dwight, Micheal (being Micheal...) asks the doctor about his injury- The figures-I did the best I could with the crutches. In the latest episode, "Morrocan Christmas", Phyllis, now head of the infamous Party Planning Commitee, throws a Morrocan themed Christmas party. A very drunk Meredith catches her hair on fire while belly-dancing. Fire Marshal Dwight races to extinguish her. Micheal then goes on to attempt an intervention for her alcoholism, and even tries to check her into rehab against her will. The figures Hoped you liked them! -darthperson
  22. OH my friggin God. That is seriously like the 4th time someone pointed that out since it was posted. Please. Check. Before. Posting.
  23. Technically, the Shanghai set is 2009. But the Spider Droid was another one of my favorites. Sure it was pricey, but it was a unique build, and was the cheapest set with clone troopers, including the awesome Commander Fox . Besides, you can't go wrong with more battle droids.
  24. Thanks for the comments! I made another two of them and posted them in another thread!
  25. After seeing Tin-mann's fantastic Office Minifigs in the MCW, I decided to finnally get around to making some Office Vigs. This first one is from the episode "Drug Testing". Dwight finds half of a joint in the Dunder Mifflin parking lot, and decides its his duty as a volunteer county sherrif to find the person who left it there. He launches a huge investigation, and interrogates everyone in the office, and this vigenette depicts his confrontation of Jim. A picture of Dwight and Jim Now this is from a very different scene, from "Goodbye Toby". After Andy proposes to Angela at Toby's going away, Phyllis goes into the office long after the party to put some things away. Much to her surprise she walks in on Angela and former lover, Dwight, getting -um- "busy" in the office. Phyllis later goes on to use this as blackmail to Angela. The figures- Poor Phyllis with her box of party supplies, and a very naked Dwight and Angela Hope you enjoy them aws much as I did making them. -darthperson
