Definately would be a unique play experience!

List courtesy of whung. I'm looking forward to "Camper", "City Corner", "Garage" and "Sports Car", which is apparently the same price as the new minifigure collection. I love that Lego is going into more "everyday life"/"civilian" sets -darthperson

Definately an aligator or monkey or some animal. This is great news! I can't wait to see pics! Hopefully it (and another Castle one) will be released in America...
-
Very nice! I love all your interior details. Great work here. -darthperson

If jealousy is a sin, then I'm damned to Hell for sure...

Just had an idea: Do you think Mon Mohtma could use either the new IJ Willie hair, or new queen hairpiece, or even the HP Umbridge hairpiece in dark orange?
-
I find it strange that the helicopter transport is the only new set in the catalog. I wonder when we will see pictures of more sets... -darthperson EDIT: ***1000th post!*** I'm now a count!

From Brickset: What is the "clone assault gun-boat thing? Maybe the Fighter Tank? Or a new set?

Power Miners: New Sets for 2009
Derek replied to cartoondude's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Bought the Stone Chopper at Target yesterday. It was the smallest set in the (very scarce) Lego Aisle, and the only PM set. It wasn't there when I first checked the Lego aisle, but I went back a second time and there it was. Maybe they put up some more sets after I left? -darthperson -
Thanks for the review! Both look like great sets, an I cant wait to get that battle pack!
-
Cool! Thanks for pointing this out! One is a Power Miners Wish list and the other is a video of the game! -darthperson
-
Where is this Target? I was there yesterday and mangaged to get the smallest Power Miners ($6) set, but that was all they had 2009 wise. -darthperson

First off, I ask that you excuse me for these terrible pictures. Second, this is my first review, take it easy on me. 8956 Stone Chopper 31 pieces/ 2 extras $5.99 USD Bulid time: 5 minutes Packaging and Manual I saw this set in the very scarce Lego aisle at Target today. It was the only Power Miners set, and it was the smallest Lego set they had period. The set comes with one manual, the same size as the one for the Castle Crossbow Attack. Like other sets, this one has an inventory in the back of the book. The back had pictures of atlernate models, the other sets, and their respective rock monsters, which leads us to- Minifigures Comes with one miner, with double sided face. I tried taking more detailed pictures, but my camera is a piece of crap. The red rock monster is very nice, in fact I think its the best part of the set. The Set 31 pieces, most of which are large. The build took around 5 minutes, give or take. The bike itself is built in a clever way, I think it is similar to the Bat-bike that was included in Harley Quinn's truck set in the Batman line. However, there is just something about it that is just Oh, and there is a DSS with 4 stickers on it. The model won't be affected too much if you don't apply them. There are two leftovers, not uncommon for a set this size. Overall Don't get me wrong, this is a nifty little set. However, there is just something that seems to be missing. The rock monster is by far the best part of the set, but the minifigure is pretty nice as well. Ratings Price- 7/10, $5.99 seems a little much for a set with 31 pieces. $4.99 would have been more appropriate. Pieces- 6/10, Nothing too special, but a few cool ones, like the red crystal, and orange and lime pieces. Price:Pieces- 3/10, 31 pieces for 6 bucks. Meh. Build- 4/10, It was over not long before you start. Pretty straightforward, no confusion. Model- 6/10, Its okay, but there could have been just a little something more to make it better. Minifigs- 10/10, 2 great minifigs in a $6 set. No complaints here. Overall- 7/10, if you see it pick it up, but don't get too excited, you will be somewhat letdown. Hope you enjoyed my first review! Happy Holidays! -darthperson

That crap (brown carrots) in the stall just kills me! Thanks for the review! -darthperson
-
Ew. 5 bucks each for minfigs I already have? (in doubles actually.) No thanks!
-
According to Target, the Shanghai Chase is $30 USD and the Flying Wing is $50.
-
Isn't that the list we've had for about a month now? EDIT: Wait, was the Mon Calamari cruiser on there before?
-
There are such things as helicopter trailers. Its probably cheaper to drive a helicopter on a truck than it is to fly it. I think it looks like a nice set, but expensive, so I probably won't get it. -darthperson
-
How about $35, like the Homing Spider Droid? Ahsokas ship, around $20, like Anakins + Vulture droid, around $5-7 +TRU markup = $35
-
I beleive that he only meant that he didn't think that the sets were worth that. Even is he is 18+, a $40 investment is expensive, especially during this recession. Once again, he said that he wasn't going to buy them if they were that much. He wasn't whining. He can choose what he wants to buy, Lego IS an expensive hobby anywhere you go, and just because it may be worse for you, doesn't mean its not expensive for everyone else. We all aren't made of money you know... I think you totally overreacted to that comment and blew it WAY out of proportion... -darthperson
-
The Joker copter is definately the best of the bunch. I love the fold out cannons (lasers, whatever...) and how you bulked it up. Nice work! -darthperson
-
I hope not! This set looks like it would cost $30, tops. Any more would be a total ripoff...
-
Wow. The pineapple is $40? It was $40 before with the other two houses... I was going to get it when I thought it was $30...
-
It hasn't. It will probably end up being a promo. which is too bad because it looks like a nice set. I wonder what that yellow thing is supposed to be? Thanks! -darthperson
