[M4-25 - Rebellions Are Built on Hope] - A Painterly Rebellion
YellowFrog replied to YellowFrog's topic in Watto's Junkyard
I was just a bit uncertain on what the mysteries are, who decides the answers, how the MOCs play a part in the game, what the grid mentioned is, how builders know/follow the story, how teams work together, how the points work, how a team can win, what the builds can be (do the MOCs dictate the story?), how teams take territory, how teams can lose territory, and there are probably more questions I had that I can't think of right now. As you can probably see, I was quite clueless and thought I wouldn't want to use up everyone's time asking all these questions in the subforum, and seeing as I don't know much about Star Wars, I'm not sure what I needed to know to participate. Thanks for taking the time to try and help. -

Thanks, I agree - some SNOT work could definitely help. No, I haven't really thought much about the Mysteries game, I once took a look at it but still have no clue how it works! The other thing is, I only build a MOC every few months or so these days, and I was concerned I might enter the game only to let down the team. -
[M4-25 - Asymmetrical] - C3PO's Greenhouse
YellowFrog replied to YellowFrog's topic in Watto's Junkyard
Thanks, when I normally build plants, landscapes, and medieval MOCs, I had to find some way to use the parts I had for a Star Wars MOC, even if not quite canon! -
[M4-25 - The Crew] - The Expedition Crew

Thanks, found the helmet on the ground a couple of years ago, but I thought it worked well! -
Just in time! Built these all in the last 3 days:

Amidst the sands of a faraway planet, an underground Cantina offers a shelter from the desert sun. With C3PO filling in for shifts when the manager is away, Chewbacca, Luke, and the other Rebels often frequent this convienient meeting-place. With a few plants on the roof and some tangled wires, this humble Cantina seems quiet at first glance... ... and stepping inside only confirms these obervations. But if you descend the stairs, stepping over the unrecognisable remains of a visitor (perhaps that's where the manager went), you realise the Cantina really is a place of... ...father-son reunions!

Sick of the Empire's iron-fisted rule, Luke Skywalker and Chewbacca return to the Wookie's home planet, Kashyyyk, to enact a simple plan. They sneak up to an Empire outpost, paint bucket in hand, and paint the Rebel's logo on the wall, hoping to escape before they're caught. Whilst Chewbacca does the painting, Skywalker keeps a lookout. They wouldn't want any clone troopers sneaking up on them... It's a sloppy artwork, but it gets the job done, leaving a few specks of paint on the jungle floor. Nestled amongst the shrubbery, the potential for an ambush is immense, but it's a small risk compared to many of the Rebels' other stunts... Although the stakes are high, the scenery is relaxing, the waves of the ocean meeting the tangled shrubbery of the jungle. Beneath the trees and snaking vines, Chewbacca continues to paint. Will they finish the job and escape before it's too late?

After C3PO's retirement from saving a galaxy far, far away, he found himself yearning for the simple pleasures of gardening. Thus, he built himself a simple greenhouse, a mobile home that can carry his precious plants with him on his journeys. With his pruners and shovel, the droid thanks his ability to survive without oxygen as he crosses the bridge from his living pod to the plant side. Careful to always tie himself down with a cord when spacewalking, this droid hopes to never separate from his sand green abode. Powered by two glowing engines, this asymmetrical ship somehow flies straight, another wonder of the sci-fi universe. Fashioned from scrap parts and coated with a barrel of sand-green paint, the ship keeps the plants at the perfect conditions, explaining their verdoyance, with C3PO cashing out his superannuation funds to afford the siver cables that pump CO2 around the ship.

The expedition crew has landed on a remote desert planet. Outcasts of the Empire and Rebels, these explorers gather with one thought in mind: discovery. The soldier, discharged from military service on Kashyyyk, provides protection for the group, guarding them from the dangers of the unknown world. The droid, the moral-booster of the group, is an amalgamation of scrap metal, but the rust on its surface doesn't erode its courage. The robot mechanic, an expert in technology due to its history repairing itself whilst on the run from the Empire. Spring-loaded legs enable athelticism far superior to its comrades. The doctor, master of the Force, and the group's guide to survival. Finally, the captain: half astronaut, half alien, but wholly ferocious, wielding dual flamethrowers that combine the efffectiveness of lightsabers with the range of blasters.
