I found an old WIP of mine while I was packing my stuff. I'd like to finish this off but I'm missing a rare part. I need four "Light Bluish Gray Slope, Inverted 45 2 x 2 Double Convex" in light bluish gray. They have been sold several times in the past on Bricklink but I can't find any for sale right now. Would someone share their stock with me? http://www.bricklink.com/catalogPG.asp?P=3676&colorID=86

I took our LUG's traveller figure for a little trip, here's the result: http://www.turklug.com/gorsel/gezgin/009/009.html or Brickshelf: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=425352

Thanks a lot for your nice words. I realize that "real" trains usually have multiples of same cars but in LEGO form I prefer to build different types of wagons to make it more interesting. I have a limited space and limited collection therefore building something big is unfortunately not an option right now. I will try to come up with new types of wagons for the play value and wow factor. I do consider building a replica of actual engines in Turkey. That requires some more observation and part collecting though :)

I have been building a cargo train for some time. I still don't have the inspiration to make an engine but here are the cars so far: http://www.flickr.com/photos/legoadam/

I'm shipping out on 10th of april, will do my military tour. So I guess I won't have the chamce to attend a meeting before then. But I'm sure others will love to examine it :) -
Hi Marvin, We would all love to help you and carry your words to the LEGO team. But I'm afraid they don't share such market information with us except for some rare occasions. When they do, we make sure they are made public throguh our messages. In this case we won't be able to tell you whether it'll be available or not, sorry :(

I had made explanations for this extra car issue but I guess it wasn't posted in this topic or some people didn't get it. First of all we have to understand that Train theme is not a good seller. AFOLs are pretty much the only target group and only a percentage of them are interested in trains. So demand is quite limited, therefore we can't expect much from a profit making company. There are some train sets in the City/Town line such as passenger and cargo trains but they don't appeal to us a lot, they are aimed at kids. Santa Fe etc.. are special sets aimed at us AFOLs and they don't sell well. As you all know, exclusive series have a limited range. Recently we had the Medieval Market Place, Emerald Night, Fire Brigade, Imperial Flagship, Death Star etc.. Since these exclusives aren't major sellers, there is a "limited production slot" for them. If they had made an extra car for Emerald Night, they would have to drop another set from the exclusive line. Can you imagine not having one of these sets just for the sake of one train car which doesn't sell at all? If you ask the AFOL community, they would rather have these sets than an Emerald Night car. Train fans are a minority in AFOLs and AFOLs themselves are a minority in TLG sales. TLG tried to come up with train cars several times in the past and as we all know they always failed to sell. You are expecting too much. If you need an extra car, you will have to buy a whole Emerald Night and sell the engine. I'm sorry but that is the case. If there isn't enough demand, there won't be any supply for it. That's how things work.

Collectible Minifigures Series 1 (8683): Rarity Factor
cagri replied to Fugazi's topic in Special LEGO Themes
TLG did give lots of information about the figures, I don't even have anything to ask about any more :) Your ambassadors should have carried the message? Here's what Steve Witt said about your question: So there are won't be any rare figures. They will all be available at the (almost) same rate. -
No, that's not even technically possible with Bricklink. Every order is different and items weights are not available/reliable. If if they were reliable, weight alone doesn't mean anything. Some light but big items has to be shipped in big boxes which means extra shipping charge. While other heavy but small items may fit in standart envelopes etc. making shipping cheaper. There are endless possibilities for each order so it is only possible to determine them with man power. Computers can't generate such shipping fees. You have to order without knowing shipping charges. But if you are worried it might be too much for you, you can always ask sellers before ordering. Most of them will try to help. Just a handful of them offer free shipping. You'll have to look through the stores list. But that doesn't mean they are cheaper. Shipping is hidden in item prices so you may end up paying more than others :)

You either send cash by (registered) mail to the seller or you meet him/her and pay in person. What did you think :)
-
Only the index file (front page) is broken. You may still use Bricklink from other pages such as this: http://www.bricklink.com/orders.asp (just make sure you don't click a link to main page)

Thanks again Svelte, you alwasy come up with great reviews wth great items. I envy you for getting all the sets before anyone else :) I think GE is the best CC set so far.

Yes, you are not being picky. This printing is not ok, ask the customer service if you want a replacement. They'll send you a new one fore free, right away. But I think we gotta be fair to TLG in these printing problems. In almost any printed item, you will come across some problematic ones. TLG is not doing a particularly bad job with printing unlike some other quality issues. I also don't agree that they were better in the past. I had a box full of Classic Space figures and the space logo was never identical in different figures :D

I had these new figures and I kind of need Euro balance in my Paypal so here is the sale. I'll send these for 19 Euroes anywhere on world including shipping with tracking code. Let me know if you're interested: I also have these new Power Miners tires that take up too much space. Make an offer I can't refuse :)

Thanks :) I like trains a lot, they became my favorite theme recently. I got myself some wheels, I'll try build more in the future. You may see my others trains here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/legoadam/tags/train/

It's because parts in pearl gold are made of some other type of plastic. That's why they feel different. I also agree that "normal" plastic is better. But you can't get a proper gold/silver/bronze color tone with it, they always look dark in that plastic. Also, some SLIGHT printing problems may be experienced, it's inevitiable. If it bothers you too much, contact customer service. They will gladly sent you a new one. But if yours look like the one in Sir Dillon's pictures, then you are being picky :) That's how they all are ..

I never hard any train sets ... :|

Great work Matija, well done !

Hi all, I'm afraid they do not share information about upcoming licenses and other ending ones until it's almost done. So ambassadors can't help you with that, sorry. You may want to check recent rumors on relevant topics.
