  1. Then Battle Ant A will come back to life, and the alphabet will start all over again!
  2. "Indeed." Dak hands over his 5 gold. "That's all the money that we owe them."
  3. OOC: Dammit, I thought for sure that that would work. Maybe when I get to a higher level, eh? IC: Dak stops the attempt before the strain kills him. He had thought for sure that he had gotten powerful enough to do it, but apparently not. "I don't know, guys and girl, we really need to get by, and fighting seems like the only option. Unless Gorg or Knifk or Sarick can scare them with their inhuman traits? No offense of course guys, I just am at a loss here. Maybe we should follow Sorrow's advice and just fight them. Or we could sneak by them and find the two responsible for all this." Suddenly, an idea pops into Dak's head. It was crazy and reckless, but since when had any of his ideas been sensible? "Gentlemen and lady, we do not need to fight over this petty squabble when I know how to solve it." he spoke, trying to make his voice sound booming and influential."What if you accompany my party and I to the mine, along with Bert and Artie? They agreed to our offer before, so we're going to hold them to their promise. If we get out of the mine alive, we'll pay Bert and Artie what we owe them." Dak hoped the party would agree with him.
  4. I want that Dagger of Mugging! But I'll just wait, there might be good loot later in Quest #13.
  5. My reasoning: 1. His legs have to fit inside his drum. 2. Your idea for the head would work. 3. Oola hasn't been made before. If StoutFiles' ideas for 'figs is correct, I would rather have Slave Leia or another Twi'lek rather than Rebo. 4. If Rebo is in the set, TLG might decide to make the rest of the band, and a LEGO Sly Snootums is not what I want. That would be awful
  6. Dak decides in a flash what to do. He immediately makes an illusion, using the men's own senses against them. To them, Knifk and Gorg now look like normal, human Knights, while he himself looks like a full elf, and Sorrow is concealed from their view. He then takes away all the men's recollection of what the party looked like before the illusion, all using his mind
  7. Don't think so. He would have to have new molds for all his parts, and if TLG is making Jabba's Palace, I would much rather have Boba Fett than Max Rebo. He's just not a mainstream character. His only appearance that I know of besides the 5-second role in the movie was SW Tales. Just the thought of that series makes me sick. Oola would be nice, and I can see that happening because of the Twi'lek headpiece on Aayla Secura in 2010, and the rest of the figs you listed would work. I just can't bring myself to imagine a LEGO set having such an obscure character though. Yes, Oola's obscure, or at least her name, but who would care about a band member when you can have a sexy Twi'lek instead?
  8. Finished two more, one an experiment, the other an update: First off, Dogma is finally done, since I found good reference (StarWars.com), so I redid him, this time with battle damage and correct markings. Pic is link to Flickr page. Second, the experiment. I made a background for this one, and I also did some experiments with striping. Again, pic is link to Flickr page. C&C welcome! Hardcase is next (I know I've said that a lot and it didn't get done, but I'm having some trouble with him. )
  9. "Knifk, diplomacy please?" Dak was sure the party could take these guys out in a fight, but it really didn't seem right, not since Knifk could get rid of them with diplomacy.
  10. We need a jaw-drop emoticon. This is so good, I don't know where to begin. The SNOT road is exellent, and I especially like the abolishment of studs. The blood looks really good as well, as do the people. The house is perfect, and I especially like the antennae and the chimney.
  11. It doesn't but I'm a stud-hater. I just noticed the R2 bodies, they look quite good, but I think that the 'good' side should have a potted plant and the 'bad' side should have a dead potted plant. That would make the MOC a bit more symmetrical. Sorry for being so harsh with my criticism.
  12. Sensing Nerwen's eyes on him, Dak thinks for a moment. "I'm ready, unless there's something else for us to fight in town that is. If there isn't, on to the mine I say!"
  13. Oh boy. Like that isn't stereotypical. The whole 'mutation' thing is a one-wave thing, I think. Hordika was quite enough for me. I would rather see a redo of Mistika or Phantoka, or, overall, Toa Mahri! The underwater gear in those waves was great, and I would like to see some adapted to the new system, like the Furno from the 2012 wave, but with a whole team of Heroes decked out in diving gear!
  14. As print gets more detailed, it is brought to look more 3D, thus the 'shadows' and black lines on the new Stormies and the new C-3PO. Eventually, I think, we will have torso gear that is shaped like the armor/plating of the armored characters, but for now I think that the print will just continually strive to look '3D' and 'pop out at you' like an action figure's detailing does. The more minifigs evolve, the more detailed they get. Eventually, I should think, minifigs might have noses, though that would be going a little too far for my taste. The torso pieces shaped like armor I can live with. Those I might even accept. But when my minifigs get popped-out 6-packs molded into the torso, I will complain. There is a certain limit to how detailed LEGO can get, and I think that they're pretty close right now. If the 'figs stay this detailed for the foreseeable future, I'll be satisfied.
  15. "A Sound of Thunder" by Ray Bradbury. Really good, he was a master. Also 'Inheritance' by Christopher Paolini. Also exellent, character development is at its best here.
  16. Wait a second. One of the weapons is dynamite? That's just wrong. Anyway, I this set, parts pack galore. The new ninja looks good, but GOD THAT TORSO IS AWESOME! The sword sheath is quite good as well. Nice review, I think you did very good.
  17. My observations are purely based on my neices and nephews and their opinions. I'm not saying that they are the spokeskids of the entire child population, but I think that quite a few other children agree with them. I'm no expert on child behavior, but that was my observation. As StoutFiles said, LEGO is constantly getting better, and the minifigs have to evolve with the parts. That is exactly the way I see it. I would really rather have the 'figs all have flesh colors, regardless of the qualms TLG obviously has about making such a big change.
  18. The overall idea is good, but I must say that the MOC itself is underwhelming. I understand the shortage of parts (I suffer from it often myself), but if you are short on parts, use them in an innovative way. Almost all of this is studs-up, and the parts that do use SNOT are few and far between. More details would be appreciated, such as Two-Face himself, unless you don't have him. What I would think would make it better is to not use the tan/black color scheme, but instead use a similar concept to the B:AC courthouse, with one side neat and the other falling into disrepair. That would make the MOC much better, IMO. Otherwise, nice job, especially with limited parts.
  19. That is the point I disagree with. Yellow does not look better than flesh tone, because no one in the world has yellow skin. LEGO is about playing for kids, and when the figures aren't even recognizable as humans it takes away from the play experience. Kids want a toy with people that look like the people in the world that they see, and people with yellow skin don't just go strolling down the street on a daily basis now do they? The other reason I disagree is that when the minifigs have two different skin tones, they aren't compatable with their counterparts in the other color. For example, someone made a fleshie minifig to go with Dino, but it didn't look right, so they had to order expensive flesh parts to replace all the faces of their regular Dino minifigs. That is the problem. If all the minifigs were flesh, the problem would be eliminated. That's my opinion.
  20. They only want us to see the blurry, confidential pics so we buy the sets just to see what they look like. They don't want us to see every piece in high-res....... Anyway, still no news? I would think that news would have come by now, but then again, TLG has been really strict about leaks this year....
  21. ARC Trooper. Easily the best TCW fig, period.
  22. Sister (or brother ), I'm with ya. I love the fleshies, and I really wish that they would put them into all the sets, licensed or not. Then again, I also love the CW faces, and almost everone hates those. Anyway, I agree with StoutFiles, and if you want to continue the discussion, make another thread for it.
  23. The purple snake general looks amazing, as do the green snakes and the black snakes. I hope they get released in sets. Even the pink ninja looks good, and I think that all of them will be getting upgrades. Also, it appears that there are black, grey, green, blue, red, and purple snakes. Where are the white and pink ones? It also appears that the Green Ninja is not Zane, and they wield the Nunchucks of Lightning but also cast fire. That's wierd. Now I'm really not sure who they are.
  24. Wow, all these new ones are amazing. I especially like Spikes. Anyway, I couldn't miss out on the fun, now could I? New ones: Two different shadow troopers, which one is better? I need opinions here so I can make Shadow versions of named clones. A Phase II trooper w/ bandolier. Oddball Redid my main character. Crash without his helmet. I hope you like them!
  25. Dak throws up his cloak as he enters, his hood should cover his skin tone well. He was afraid that he would be ridiculed here, as he had been in every tavern he had gone into outside of his hometown. He looks around, and notices that all the men and the few women inside are mostly drunk and watches as a barfight takes place. The tavern has many swirling emotions wriggling through the air like ribbons, emotions of fear, anger, sorrow, and pain. Many of the people he sees turn away quickly at the sight of his comrades, for some reason no one likes elves or orcs. He takes no offence, since his elven brethren must have done something to require such suspicion. He watches as Guts lies to the shrouded man, but he does not join in the conversation.
