  1. At least the comics are on a roll… you could say that DC has Absolute supremacy over marvel in that theatre. Hey man, good to have you back. I get you have a clear preference. But I don’t particularly want to wait 5-6 years for each instalment of what is ultimately yet another grounded Batman adaptation. Something which Nolan already did in a year longer timeframe than the wait between Reeves-verse 1 and 2. Again comics. I had faith in the Gunn. I am a huge fan of his Soup. And I am excited for MOT. But I will agree that most of his decisions are baffling. Deathstroke x Bane movie? Could be cool. But 4-5 years down the line with Batman or the Justice League as the antagonist. Lanterns? I want it to be good so badly, I’m still holding out a sliver of hope. But shadow realming my GOAT, going for a grounded story which isn’t Hard Travelling Heroes, not making it primarily a space cop epic, not having the suit be green and hiring the chequered Tom King instead of proven good GL writers such as Johns, Tomasi or even Vendetti seems like a huge misstep. Supergirl? Should have been the 5th movie at least and the script should actually have lived up to Gunn’s hype. Clayface? Actually you know what, I’ll give this one a pass if it introduces DCU Batsy. Lack of Wonder Woman? Absolutely abhorrent. I honestly don’t think DC movies can survive another reboot. Either Gunn succeeds or everyone but Batman gets shelved for a decade or more. I agree that Snyder, ironically as that’s what got us in this mess, had slightly better linear continuity. But are we really going to pretend Suicide Squad, the 3rd movie in the snyderverse which was notoriously bad wasn’t just as bad a pick as Clayface or Supergirl? I will give Snyder credit where credit is due. He made sure that Wonder Woman was the 4th movie in his universe. And it’s arguably the best in it. At this rate Wonder Woman won’t even be the 6th movie in the DCU.
  2. Well the World Cup is not coming home. But I’m sure the TIE Avenger will. Bossk looks nice
  3. Guess what got delayed again? https://deadline.com/2026/07/the-batman-ii-jj-abrams-the-great-beyond-release-date-changes-1236982669/ I suppose we’ll be getting 2 less sets next year.
  4. Will that be to season your TIE Avenger bricks? (Day #446) Chances of the Ewok films getting posters?
  5. 2028 early theorising/ wishlisting Alright. We admittedly know next to nothing about 2028 besides it being the 20th Anniversary of 2008 Clone Wars/ 25th of 2003 and likely Maul Shadow Lord S2 or even S3. There could be a movie, but unless it gets announced within the next 3 months I doubt it. What I propose, since Clone Wars does seem to be the theme’s golden goose, are 4 Clone Wars Anniversary sets plus a few extras. Not as many as a significant anniversary, and what I’m proposing would not require as many new moulds/ prints as 2024 and 2027’s set of minifigs and are therefore more doable. January Obi-Wan’s BARC Speeder (£8.99): General Kenobi and a B1 Battledroid Micro-Gosfighter (£12.99): Cade P1 Clone Troopers Battlepack (£19.99): 2 P1 Clone Troopers, P1 Officer and a P1 Gunner (8014 remake) Rebel Snowspeeder Rescue (£39.99): Luke Skywalker, Dak Ralter, Han Solo and a Probe droid. Death Trooper Bust (£44.99) Midi-scale Republic Frigate (£49.99) Epic Moments: Mogu Takedown (£29.99): Cal Kestis and Merrin Maul Shadowlord S2/3 Set (£TBA) UCS U-Wing (£179.99): Cassian Andor, Jyn Erso and K2S0 June 14+ ETA-Class Jedi Shuttle (£109.99): Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Count Dooku and Clone Commando Fixer Anniversary Minifigure (Season 6 based set) Ahsoka S2 catchup set (£TBA) The Mandalorian Mech (£12.99) August Ryloth Liberation (£54.99): Mace Windu, Razor, Stak, B1 Commander, B1 Droid, B2 Droid and Clone Commando Boss Anniversary Minifigure. 6. On a more positive note (I’m sure we’ll get a decent GL showing outside of Lanterns anyway) It appears that Lego, if there was anytime when you should start doing character pack type sets for superheroes it’s next year with the large number of characters required for Doomsday, MoT, BTSV, X-Men’97 and Secret Wars
  7. *Moich* Moichandising, moichandising, where the real money from the campaign is made. TIE Avenger-the T-shirt, TIE Avenger-the Colouring Book, TIE Avenger-the Lunch box, TIE Avenger-the Breakfast Cereal, TIE Avenger-the Flame Thrower. Day #445 of using the Schwartz to get a TIE Avenger Lego set. Spaceballs the May 4th GWP?
  8. No it isn’t. Otherwise they would be making a Morbillion dollars off of Daemon Targaryen. Jokes aside, I feel like he’d need to come in a larger villain set in a later wave. It sounds like he has a Tarkin type role from leaks so not as action oriented a villain for an initial set wave. That is Mia Goth’s role.
  9. Hero Starfighter, larger ship, buildable droid. The characters we do get will be: Ken, Glup Kiddo, Mia the Goth, Will from Inbetweeners (feels like a droid casting),Lionel Baratheon and John Stewart. If Mando couldn’t get Rotta or the Hutts I don’t see Starfighter getting Doctor Who or Lois Lane. Those are my bets looking at modern Lego.
  10. “We all strive to build empires TIE Avengers, whether of stone bricks or people minifigs or words instructions. Empires TIE Avengers we hope will survive us. In the end, though, each of us must necessarily leave our creations behind. All we can hope for is to also leave behind a worthy successor to continue our work. Or who can at least maintain it for a season wave.” — Grand Chadmiral Thrawn. Day #444rawn Ahsoka S2 needs at least 2 sets in order to cover both of the storylines. The most efficient way to do so would be a set for Peridia and a starfighter duel pack for Thrawn vs NR. Buildable Yoda is definitely getting a poster though. Even more evidence that the Remnant AT AT is a godsend where price is concerned. I imagine they’ll reuse the stormtrooper sweater from Mainstreet for one of the fans to cut costs. The cosplay stormtrooper could also end up being a regular stormtrooper.
  11. I will give him credit where credit is due as his Darkseid War God of Light One-shot for Hal was fantastic, Woman of Tomorrow is good, and while I haven’t read it myself Strange Adventures is supposed to be really good. Everything else he’s done ranges from mid to trash. ISTG. The wedding fake out might have been one of the worst editorial decisions in comic history. Up there with Paul. (Who at least resulted in fun memes. In fact without him i’ve found that marvel comics has no punchline/s) For some reason the DCAU chronological succession is: Hal (known from time travel episode), Kyle who looks like Hal (S:TAS), Kyle who looks like Kyle in a simplified version of his 2nd suit (JLU), Guy, John and Jessica. Weird decisions that were relatively innocent at the time but have now snowballed over time into a big problem for the GL fandom.
  12. Guy Gardner, apart from the awful suit, may be our greatest hope of a faithful GL adaptation in the DCU. After his treatment of John and the GL ring in the last issue of Wonder Woman I’m not sure i have faith that Tom King has even written John with justice.
  13. Just seen the new leak for Lanterns Gunn, if you pressure Lego to make a comic-based GL mech with Guy Gardner and/or John Stewart against Cyborg Superman, Zod or Sinestro for a MOT tie in then all will be forgiven.
  14. I think a ghost Pirate shipwreck would be cool for this new line. It would be a beached ship.
  15. John L. Ego still being a rascal for the 443rd day of our glorious conquest. C’mon Solidbrix…. Weird that the Pilot Luke Macrofig doesn’t seem to have a poster. Surely it should count as a display set and thus qualify for having one.
  16. Day #442. By far the most creatively bankrupt clone legion. They are merely a lime 212th reskin. So uninspired that they were even removed from ROTS. Plo Koon evidently blew the paint and marketing budget on his other legion. Favouritism much?! But I digress. The TIE Avenger is the opposite to the TIE series of what the 442nd are to the GAR. It’d be really funny if the theatre workers were Favreau and Filoni. I’ve already preordered it because of the other week’s Da Vinci GWP and double points. But I really would like to see AT AT reviews.
  17. I feel so betrayed. How could you?! On the 441st day no less?! /s I wholeheartedly agree. I really hope these are instead of the normal 18+ load we usually get annually (helmets and midis) rather than eating into play-set slots. Oh wait. I just realised the new display set news likely means we can expect up to 12-13 18+ sets with movie posters. Where are the Starfighter, Ahsoka S2 and TIE Avenger announcements? Surely they should be releasing around April?! It retires December 31st this year. Just like how Lego made 2 accidental Rogue One sets this year, next year it appears we’re getting an accidental Bad Batch/ Maul Shadow Lord set in the Mcquarrie helmet. Aren’t we lucky Hear me out: Favreau and Filoni as the theatre workers. Cosplay C3P0 should just be Anthony Daniels in a cardboard outfit. The stormie should have a 501st legion insignia. And for fun, let’s have the Jedi be a back door Glup Shitto we wouldn’t have otherwise gotten (MARA JADE, Survivor Cal, High Republic rando, etc…) Probably the inclusion of Lando or something. Swordy’d yet again! The movie theatre does intrigue me though, so I’ll have to see it. It’d be really cool if there were marvel modular style references in the interior as well.
  18. If we live in a world where Count Binface can has a decent chance of winning a by-election and becoming a MP in the UK… Is it too much of a stretch to believe that Lego can make a TIE Avenger set? (Day #440!) Do we reckon George will have grey or black hair in the bts set? I know it was black at the time of filming but his grey hair is more iconic imo.
  19. Anything but a TIE Avenger…. Honestly these sound really cool. There’s a lot of potential for the cinema’s cosplayers (shame it’s not going to be a modular) A few suggestions for candidates both meta fans and also highly cosplayed characters who might not otherwise get a minifig: 501st Legion charity stormtrooper 501st Legion charity X-Wing Pilot Dolores from HR Cal Kestis (survivor) MARA JADE Jedi temple guard Obscure clone trooper
  20. If I could turn back time If I could find a way I'd take back those sets that have prevented you And you'd get made I don't know why Lego did the things they did I don't know why I said the things I said 18+ is like a knife, it can gut the theme Bricks are like weapons, they wound sometimes I didn't really mean to hurt you I didn't wanna see you go I know I made you cry, but TIE Avenger If I could turn back time If I could find a way I'd take back all those sets that have prevented you and you’d get made If I could reach the star [destroyer], I'd give 'em all to you Then you'd love me, love me like you used to do (Day #439 of believing in a brighter TIE Avenger)
  21. Not a Pokémon fan. But i’ve seen the ball. The professor guy, could Lego have made him look a bit less like Jeffrey? I saw a meme about it and I can’t get it out of my head.
  22. Your friends and family definitely love you. The last substantial SW set I received as a birthday gift was the Cody Helmet in 2024. It was a banger. And I can’t complain much as many friends get me battlepacks.
  23. With the announcement of the new Doomsday set, we may potentially be able to expect the TIE Avenger by August 2027. (Day #437 of TIE Avenger delusions) As that seems to be the timeline of my set ideas to reality for some reason. I really hope that Disney/ Lucasfilm learns from M&G’s awful marketing campaign/ timeline and start advertising Starfighter soon.
  24. It’s 2005 all over again baby! Shame there are no X-Men’97 S2 sets. It’s great so far.
  25. I mean, we kinda already had that with dioramas. But this is still definitely a step in the right direction. I’m now 100% certain the Ewok village and BHP will have anniversary minifigs now that it’s confirmed the Y-Wing has Luke. So there’s at least 2 more coming. I also imagine there’ll be a TPM set as that’s literally the only movie without an rumoured anniversary set so far. So likely 3 more. Sorry. That’s my fault. I’ve been keeping Filoni’s hat hostage until he adds in the TIE Avenger to the season and dictates the creation of a Lego set, which has been keeping the merch line delayed. Nothing will stand between me and what is rightfully mine./s (Day #436) Uj/ At least we got the NR X-Wing already I guess.
