  1. You're not getting Minas Morgul or Orhanc while Barad-Dur is on the shelves. The former probably not even once it retires. Gray Havens I find unlikely tbh, but it may be me. And the trouble with Minas Tirith is that the most iconic thing about it is the entire, multilayer city, which I don't see them doing justice at a reasonable price. And truth be told there aren't that many interesting locations there - you have the courtyard with the tree and... that is largely it? I don't see them making the pyre of Denethor, the throne room is an empty hall with a chair, leaving us with what, the beacon and the gate?
  2. I'm pretty sure Tolkien would disagree. Strongly :P
  3. Bookends would be iffy, since there would kinda be an expectation they can keep the books in place. and that would need them to be rather heavy. And it is true a nook doesn't need full walls - give it a few bricks running the full width at both the bottom and top and they should be good to go.
  4. I don't think there is a falcon flag currently available. No modern set had one.
  5. Seems it could work with jut an extra 1x3. Though there is a possibility the plates below wouldn't be connected well enough in such a setup
  6. It is a tree. Probably not the white tree, since it is there in the movies.
  7. They do. Just filter for Rivendell and minifig parts.
  8. I mean, if the future sets kept increasing in - relative - price and decrease in quality, ending here and now would be better than a terrible decline...
  9. https://www.lego.com/en-au/product/the-lord-of-the-rings-smeagol-deagol-40761
  10. Better pics of the GWP popped up - only thing new are the heads. Deagol is indeed sporting Sam's Rivendell torso.
  11. While the resolution isn't great, the pic of the box floating around has a bit of a better angle for the torso on the side. Definately looks like the one Sam had in Rivendell.
  12. Smeagol is confirmed to be a reuse, Deagol technically not - but it would be weird for the more important character to not get a new print, while someone who is a blink and you missed him does.
  13. And 75371. Correction - looks like the heads may be unique. Doesn't change my opinion though...
  14. Looks like the GWP has no unique prints/parts. What a disappointing release...
  15. A disappointing gwp (looks like the minifigs may be fully made of existing parts - maybe beyond the face prints) for a disappointing set. The revived theme peaked with Rivendell and is on a downward course.
  16. If you have tons of money to spare or no other expenses, sure.
  17. If they want to price it as a collectors item, they should deliver something of apropriate quality. This is not it. The party tree is piss-poor, the ceiling seems almost completely flat, they still can't deliver pieces that would truly complete the look of characters (like a hair-hat combo for Gandalf). You can excuse it if you want, just like you could excuse selling it for 1000$ as a premium collectors item, but I call bollocks. And if you look at it like a regular set, it is at least 50$ overpriced. Maybe even 70. Just look at the Beauty and the Beast Castle and compare the pricing.
  18. Tandnbricks teased it. Alongside these
  19. Apparently they are aiming for a reveal on the 25th.
  20. Dunno if I'd call this take on the Party Tree "charming" :P
  21. Except at that point it would probably be the main build we got + the dwarves for about 300$..
  22. My bad. Still, Max has a decent reputation himself.
  23. Brick Clicker who confirmed those tends to be as reliable as they get. Unfortunately (in this specific case anyway)..
  24. I could see it being akin to the boat from BDP's Harbormaster's Office - with the One Ring at the bottom and an option to pose Deagol as if he was diving for it.
  25. Brick Clicker confirms the 270$ price point. With an April 2nd release (though April 1st would be much more fitting). And the GWP is supposedly minifig-based.
