New Zealand: "Where to find Lego"
Dragonator replied to Legoman's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Has anyone in Wellington seen the new Indiana Jones sets yet? I just dropped into the Farmers in Manners Mall, as well as the Toyworld Megastore, and still no sign of them. -
Murder on the Emerald Express: Chapter 8
Dragonator replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Hey everyone, I'm back again. Did you miss me? I was in the toilet. Wow, this room looks pretty swish. Reminds me of this creepy mansion I saw pictures of once, it was owned by some maniac. Nice furniture though. Anyway, let's have a look around, shall we? I would like to inspect the chandelier old two ball/chain lamp, as well as looking on, under and around the table and two chairs. Once we're finished here we'll head off to the farm as Herman suggested, shall we? -
Runs back in wearing a clean pair of shorts. Dear me, what a night! Looks to me like we have some sorting out to do. Right, from what I can see, you lot decided to kill me yesterday, however by some lucky chance for me, the Black Sun Killer also decided to target me. Why he might do that is beyond me, but I'm not complaining! Now then, I would just like to say quite clearly right now that I am loyal. We know for fact that I was during Day's 2 and 3; that is undisputed. We have also already found the person who was turned, our dear Pepper. So really, I don't see the problem here, other than that of course the Black Sun members here will be attempting to frame me. But let's not focus on that, let's focus on the issue at hand. According to this most recent message, we are in a dire situation. It looks like the Black Sun i close to tipping the balance amoungst us, meaning that our cause will be lost. If we want to survive this and rid ourselves of this menace, then we can't afford to make any more mistakes. And gentlemen, I must stress, that voting for me is a big, big mistake. We cannot afford to me hasty, and I cannot help but to suspect those people who have already started voting for me without any conclusive evidence or even a proper theory to back them up. It quite honestly confuses me that when we are one step away from being pulled under by corruption, people are still happy to make hasty decisions. I cannot say for certain who we should vote for, but I do know that voting for me be a terrible mistake. Please, take a moment, and let us think this out. For the good of the Empire, for the good of our proposed alliance, we must not screw up now. If you give me a few moments, I am going to run through what we know so far, and then I'll get back to you all with what I think of our current situation. Correction

Murder on the Emerald Express: Discussion

I just want to let you all know that I will be away from this Sunday afternoon (the 7th) through till next Friday (12th), so don't be alarmed if I'm not around at all, as I won't have any computer access. I will of course be back as usual by next Friday evening/Saturday, so don't think you're rid of me yet! That is all, return to whatever it was you were doing. -
New Zealand: "Where to find Lego"
Dragonator replied to Legoman's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Well I just went and checked out the Farmers in Manners Mall here in Wellington, and no new IJ sets. Toyworld however currently has the Fight on the Flying-Wing at 30% off as part of their catalogue discounts, so I grabbed that instead. -
Murder on the Emerald Express: Chapter 7
Dragonator replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Herman, you're OK! I was so worried! My group had such an adventure, it was like D&D but without the dice and little pained figures. And the cards.... and terrain boards. Anyway, it was fun! We only encountered a slight problem when Max was stabbed, but we figured it must have been one of them evil townie's that did it, most likely Killin' George. Mr. Greaseman, there are actually seven junctions, I presume they are on the part of the map which has been torn off. Did I mention that I found this map? Yeah, it was behind a poster. I followed my D&D experience and my instincts, and got this. Am I great or what! As I recall, when we first entered the switching tower, all the switches were down except switch one, which was up. I'm not sure how that can help us right now, but it may be of use soon. I bet that one of those lines links up with the mainline somewhere, this town is to small to have an entirely independent rail network. One of the lines off switch 5 looks like it goes into a tunnel, which could connect to the mainline further along, since it is angling that way. I'm not sure, I wish we had the rest of this map. -
Oh my God we're doomed, doomed do you hear me!? I mean, what will we do? All the beautiful women are dead. To bad it took killing all of them to find the sour grape. So then, what to do now people? I guess you want a clarification of what Boden has said? I got the same types of messages from our dear dead Pepper, saying that she had investigated me and found me to be loyal, and that she had also done so for another. Of course, I'm not stupid, and I most certainly didn't put all my trust in her. In fact, after she first contacted me, I don't think we even talked together privately again. Anyway, good she's gone now since she was turned. Once again, good job to our vigilant!

You know, when I first saw it, I thought it was quite a big switching tower. -
Galactic Paranoia: One Replacement Needed

Bastard! You can't stop me now, my rein of badly scripted scenes and self-centred plot-lines will begin again! Besides, I've already started on the scenery. -

So true! And not long now till the excitement begins anew! -
Hmmm, how interesting. Certainly we need to change some of these, but which ones? I think we need to set up a line that goes from town to number seven, as I have a feeling one of those two tracks torn off the map leads out of town. I guess what we really need to know is how the other groups have got on with finding what we need, as I think we'll need to pool everything we have found t get out of here. *Glances out the window, then looks again* Is that something moving along the line? It looks like there is something heading this way, I can't make it out though...

I just love this post. -
*Rushes up stairs.* Ah ha! There is our X, obviously we are meant to do something with these switches. The question is, what? I wonder what happens when I press this button... *moves button one into the up position* I would also like to compare our map to these switches to see which lines are the ones that lead out of town, and where the railway shed, if it is on this circuit, is located.

Looking great Stash, I can't wait to see the pictures from BrickWorld. Oh how I would love to be there...

New Zealand: "Where to find Lego"
Dragonator replied to Legoman's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
It's too bad that I've never seen any of the Farmers around the Wellington area stocking much Lego, otherwise I would go take a look. Ah well, I've already done my buying for this week anyway. -
Right, whatever you do people, don't touch any of those electric switches with your bare hands. We don't want to get hurt by electric shocks. I would like to carefully look through all the equipment downstairs, making sure I don't touch any exposed wires or stand under anything that could fall on me. I'll keep an eye out for anything unusual that might have been the reason this spot was marked on the map. Why don't one of you go upstairs and take a look around there, to help save time? I hope Herman's OK. I just got a bad feeling... Am I having Deja Vu or what?
-
W shall see what comes of this, hopefully there will be more good than bad. Vote: Sgt. Tong Pincer (TinyPiesRUs) Well, at least we're making progress!
-
Cool, so I'm in the tower, and I haven't been killed yet... what am I seeing?

Too true. -
Right, out we get, and time to get to work. I'm glad the truck didn't blow up on us. Let's look around for any reason why this crossing might have been marked on the map. I have a feeling we'll find something in the signal tower, so I'm going to go in there. Knowing my luck, there'll be another poster with another map behind it, or something of the like. So, I'll walk over to the signal tower, carefully push the door open and wait for any falling debris to settle before going inside. I'll also make sure to look for any bear-traps and trip wires as well before entering. You never can play it too careful. Although in my D&D strategy I quite often incorporate some risky moves as well, and luck is quite often on my side there. You have to take risks to move forward. OK, so I'll just shut up about risks and being careful and I'll go look in the tower...
-
I too would be happy to vote for Tong over there, especially for the reason that he is so hypocritical. I mean, he tells someone off for suspecting him, and then goes on to start laying down suspicions for another player with terrible reasoning. I don't buy it, frankly. Secondly, he must be a Black Sun operative because he is attacking our last woman, and we know that the Black Sun don't like women since they've already killed all the others.
-
Fantastic, good show to whoever that guy with the spider is! Looks like we've got ourselves our first operative! I knew joining together was a good idea. Barely have we begun eating and already the food is flying. Yeah yeah, OK, so I'm spending to much time around the Grand Admiral...
-
Are you saying you want me to sit in the trailer of an potentially unsafe vehicle, in the dark, where I could very easily be locked in by someone outside, and in the company of a madman and a suspected murderous chef!? Are you crazy!?!? Yeah OK, whatever, there's not much else to do. I would just like to say now though, in case it is too late later on, that I have a bad feeling about this. *Jumps into the back* Right, let's get ourselves to this X-marks-the-spot place. I'll shout directions from the back, I don't suppose there's one of those sliding-window things between the cab and the trailer is there?

As today is the last da of the Queen's Birthday Weekend Sales, I thought I might as well take advantage of that fact. Therefore I went out and bought the following sets at 20% off. Pirates: - 6240 Kraken Attackin' - 6241 Loot Island - 6242 Soldiers' Fort Star Wars: - 7749 Echo Base - 7748 Corporate Alliance Tank Droid - 8017 Darth Vader's TIE Fighter - 8039 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser I also bought two other sets on Saturday which were: - 8036 Separatist Shuttle - 7749 Echo Base All in all, that has left a rather sore hole in my wallet. Ah well, it was worth it. I just hope I have enough left over to get all the pieces I need for my other project, we'll see how it goes...
