Thanks! much appreciated Thanks a lot!! Indeed, it scales much better, I used to have official sets there but they dwarfed the rest of the diorama and blocked it from view. As for the sails, I cut them from a canvas used for painting (Not the ideal material to be honest, because it can be ruined easily by water. Apparently there's a canvas fabric which is more fitting). I used simple scissors. I drew the vertical lines with a pencil, then painted them with a simple light brown solid oil pastel color. I didn't press hard against the canvas, I wanted the color to be more off white-ish than brown. The little holes for the rigging were done with a needle and then I enlarged them using a toothpick. Hi guys, I haven't posted here in a while (since I've made some mods to the Eldorado fortress when it just came out). Since then I come a long way and shifted heavily towards MOC building. I'm aiming to make my entire pirates layout my MOC. I have started with a beach cave, then an old lighthouse, and then came a big project in the shape of an imperial fort (inspired by El-Morro fort in Puerto Rico). Lastly, I've added a small village to be guarded by the fort. You can see the entire layout in this video: Pirates Diorama Video My Instagram has more pictures of it. I continue making tweaks to it and I intend display it in a convention very soon. My next goal is to create a MOC of a pirate ship - not sure I have the skills, but I ordered another copy of the 3in1 ship and we'll see where it goes. Thanks a lot! I might try one of those builds Yeah, Lego was so expensive these days, even more than today, contrary to common belief. I was actually sure this set came with an alligator and was surprised to find out it didn't.
