  1. Yes you do have the right to express your feelings towards them, I fail to see how this requires for you to pirate their product, for instance I can write "DonQuixote is Wrong" without having to pirate anything that you made. There's that saying that goes something along these lines "the first time someone tells you something, believe them", you initially said it was because you hated disney and wanted to "punish" them because they deserved it, if it had been because of the price, that's what you'd have said, but when you realised you could make your argument sound better, your opinion magically changed out of thin air, that's what I call being two-faced. No, no, you forgot, I am fighting for the "big bad elites", while you are the ultimate purveyor of absolute justice, fighting for "the people", and we all know that this means I am in the wrong, no matter what I say, no matter how I say it, it's always "stop defending everything they do, you defender of corporate interests", then you write this sort of comment to make it look like you suddenly, magically started respecting my opinions instead of calling me a shill every time, again, that's what I call being two-faced.
  2. Ok, if you say so, because you from january 15th of this year and you from right now are in disagreement, I'll remind you of what you wrote in the "Do you buy only Lego?" thread : "Disney is a shitty company that didn't support Johny Depp and it destroyed the original Starwars trilogy by making the sequels so bad. So they deserve to be pirated." In other words, you said one thing then and another now, pick an opinion, I hate people who are two-faced. Wrong, that would give quantummechanics, if you want quantum mechanics you need to write q-u-a-n-t-u-m- -m-e-c-h-a-n-i-c-s, with a space between the two words.
  3. @DonQuixote can you please, for the love of god, just please write your comment BELOW the quote, it's annoying when people make a quote and write their reply within it. Agreed about Cobi, haven't bought bluebrixx (Looks very good, I must admit, but they use Gobricks, which are chinese, so I'm hesitant). As for the rest : Ktown and Cultbricks do look great, I can buy a battlepack (4 figs and a few parts) for less than one of their figures, but they do look fantastic. That reason is called Economics, here I'll spell it for you : E-c-o-n-o-m-i-c-s, but considering you buy counterfeits just because you ''hate disney'' (your words, not mine), I can understand if laws of any type are hard to grasp for you, even economic laws... Anyhoo, have a nice day, hope you find a hobby you enjoy for a change! Goodbye!
  4. Which ones? Find when I said that, please do. You are impossible to debate with : Everything anyone does, is bad and the wrong way
  5. I love the little panda! A reasonable and cheap set!
  6. If only life were that simple, to print fully in white, you need multiple layers of ink, multiple layers=multiple "frames" in the factory=they can't use those spots in the factory for part recolours or new pieces. So they only do it for CMFs, which have a lot of parts spaces in the factory every year.
  7. PirateKing should send you a private message (you can't yet because you are below the minimum number of posts to do so) with his Email, so that way you can share stuff which is larger than 0.1MB, alternatively, share the file in the form of a link to a 3rd party cloud storage software (Like google's). Best of luck!
  8. I originally wanted to rank every entry using a points system, but too many entries scored really well for me to be able to decide!
  9. Thanks! And of course congrats to all the other winners (don't forget to claim your prizes @Elephant Knight, @Yatkuu, @YellowFrog, @Marooned Marin and @A_Goodman.
  10. I call it a robot arm, you can call it whatever Bricklink or Lego call it instead, but to me, that's an arm, for robots, or a miniature starfighter... While I'm at it, what parts are being used for the torsos and Legs? Are they custom? If so, can they be purchased anywhere?
  11. Yeah, and it's nice to see Lego elements in the shield designs (ex : the dogs are clearly Lego's design).
  12. True! I have to say the behaviour of some people in this forum towards you was frankly a bit childish, I'll admit that I myself was a little suspicious last time around, but when the moderators said you weren't guilty, I accepted that decision. I do truly hope to see your content here again, and it was a lot of fun critiquing your entries, which were all really good.
  13. I see one potential flaw with the ballot (but I've not checked if it's there, because I already voted), and that's non-random ordering, since it gives an advantage to entries up on the list (people are most likely to select the top entries and not to really rank everyone else's entries). Easy solution : mandatory voting AND no voting for one's entries OR bonus points for those who vote for someone else, but more than you'd get by any one vote (ex : +25 to your score), which'd be fair as long as every entrant votes... Easy, you can't vote twice, and your IP will show when you do vote, so if someone realises that their vote has already been cast, the mods can see which IP voted as that user, figure out who on the forum has that IP, and remove that user from the contest.
  14. You're welcome! I do have to congratulate you for doing better than me in the entry voting phase!
  15. @zinnn, here's an unofficial estimate of the winners : Large entries : Tapu Island by Marooned Marin is 1st The trading post by A_Goofman is 2nd The Margaret Hamilton by Elephant Knight is 3rd Small : Marooned Marin's Raft it 1st YellowFrog's Sneaking Steve is 2nd And Yatkuu just won 3rd place Creative Critique : Horation is ahead, 19-13
  16. You think the winners were announced, even though there's no announcement or thread called "contest-winners", be patient, it'll take a bit longer
  17. Yes, I second this! All of the staff did a really good job, especially Mister Phes, who I think worked like a bee for this whole thing, but everyone clearly put a lot of effort into the whole thing.
  18. Thanks! Your English was more than clear enough, I just thought I did something wrong! I think that's a really good option, since it would allow for fast counting of the ballots and verification of the I feel like having a public poll like suggested by yellowFrog (with all the names being visible) and then having a nominated member do a sum of all the valid votes could work well.
  19. Yes I have, I've checked the pending queue a few times (this is it, right? : https://www.flickr.com/groups/classic-pirate/admin/pending ), I haven't seen anything in it yet, am I doing something wrong?
  20. Alright, double-checked and I found my error; I added a vote to that entry for the 15th voter, probably because that voter did vote for another entry, and at the end of the contest I cleaned the cells (while noting the original count totals) and started again just to be sure, I checked with the original totals, and funnily enough that was the only entry where I ended up having a different result, I assumed the original count was wrong...
  21. I do feel bad about counting the votes publicly (though for my defense, that's what was done during the last contest). And there's nothing quite like a poll to get people riled up for the prize announcement!
  22. Ah well, I think that was confusion on both ends, I didn't know what to write in the "past experience" section.
  23. Well, in any such public vote, it is certainly possible that some people counted the votes, the only way to prevent it is A) secret ballot or B) judge grouping, and I must say you do not appear enthralled about B.
  24. My apologies @Mister Phes! Had I known, I'd have kept the count private!
