Not having Gandalf would be bonkers - they already have all the prints they need for him in Rivendell. Plus, it can help give a sense of scale/add playability by including him. He even made the cut for the old Bilbo Hobbit Hole set, so it would be bizarre for him to not be included in a $200+ D2C. The existence of a GWP was only leaked about a month before for Barad-Dur (shortly before the first tease released), so we may not know for sure until we get closer. But since this set is on the smaller/cheaper end, I could see it not getting one - the smallest liscenced set last year that had a set-specific GWP was the Dungeons and Dragons tower with the Mimic Dice Box, if I remember correctly, and the only other one smaller than that was the Botanical Garden's GWP. $300+ seems to be the threshold for a set to get an exclusive GWP, and it sounds like the Shire will be a little under that.

Marvel Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
JohnTPT17 replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think the Hulk Truck does exactly what it sets out to do and does it well. It's supposed to appeal more to kids than adults, and kids like big vehicles. Not for be, but I honestly don't have any issues with it. New Hall of Armor and Oscorp though? Meh. Both seem overpriced, and while both have some potentially good-sounding minifigs, there's also some filler reuses that no one is excited for in both sets. I'll wait until we see pictures to see if I'd want to Bricklink anyone separately. -
Or, best of all: just release a Battle Pack alongside the set, so army builders can build their ranks and those who can't afford multi-hundred dollar sets have some kind of a consolation prize.

Hopefully those Stormtroopers were just blurry/in the background and we get something a little more unique. Otherwise, glad to see that K2S0 and Dedra seem to be in the pipeline. If it's death troopers/shore troopers/something besides basic Stormtroopers, I might look into the whole set - otherwise, just K2S0. Maybe Dedra - depends on what she looks like and how expensive she would go for on Bricklink. -
To heck with the hair - everyone gets a party hat to celebrate Bilbo's birthday. No need to worry about hair then! Apparently TandNBricks (who's been reliable in the past) now has a hint out for Minas Tirith - a Middle Earth map with several previous locations checked off, but Minas Tirith's icon unchecked. Looks like it may be coming 2026?

I would be all over a $40 Battle Pack, or whatever it would be called, if it had Kit Fisto, Shaak Ti, Stass Allie, and Coleman Trebor. Or at least those first two. Or, heck, switch out Coleman for Dooku and justify the set by saying it's based on Yoda's vision quest from Season 4 of The Clone Wars, if you're really wanting me to wish list. In all honesty, though, I think Shaak Ti could maybe be next to get one more use out of the long torgruta head tails before that mold gets any older. Otherwise, probably Kit Fisto, since Lego seems to be listening to fan requests with Plo Koon. -

I was thinking of sets like 75151 (2016 Clone Turbo Tank with Luminara and Quinlan Vos), 75182 (2017 Republic Fighter Tank with Aayla), and 9526 (2012 [older than I was thinking] Palpatine's Arrest) - which, to me, felt like a good balance of Jedi, good sized vehicles, and lower price points, which were largely complimented with battle packs like 75035 (though that was 2014). In short, I think I'm just mixing up dates/misremembering what was in some of the sets. -

He could always just hang out on a plaque - most of the UCS Star Wars ships have had them, and I don't see them making one that would sit 40 minifigs. This is basically how I feel too. 2026 could very well go back to more OT stuff. We still have an X-Wing, TIE Fighter, TIE Bomber, a Tannitive Boarding set, the 40755 "Battle Pack," Jabba's Sail Barge, and more still available on store shelves - OT fans aren't exactly starving in the way that Sequel Fans are, who only have the UCS Falcon as a way to get Rey and Finn (not counting Sith Rey). That I will agree with you on. The "Golden Age" Clone Wars/Episode III sets had 2-3 unique Jedi per ship, plus Battle Packs which were much cheaper. -

There's also a possibility that we get George Lucas thrown into the Death Star as well. Feige was with the Avengers Tower, so there's a non-zero chance it could happen. -

I'm fine with some Lego OC characters, personally. At worst, they can be repurposed into generic rebel or resistance soldiers, or possibly generic background civilians in spaceports or whatnot. There's also possibly something to be said about having more skin tone variety with characters, and the Freemakers and Greeblings both provide some variety in the tan spectrum that isn't seen super often (besides clones or Mando, but they're both helmeted). Maybe if I was more of a "purist" I'd feel differently, but Star Wars has all kinds of background one-second aliens that have entire Wookiepedia articles dedicated to them - a few Lego OCs shouldn't be much more offensive than Cantina aliens. We don't know that for sure - the Freemakers got outfit changes between seasons 1 and 2, so there's a chance the Greeblings could get new outfits as well. And as far as the time for a new tactical droid goes - I agree that the iron is hot for them to come back, especially since we have the new, stronger tall droid legs with the updated B2s. They've been in several different shows recently, and the mold isn't super complicated, and based on their Bricklink prices, they'd be a set seller by themselves. -
I think I've turned a corner as far as my buying BDP sets goes... There's several that I like, but for the asking price, I might only be able to afford the ones that I love. I think the Siege Encampment looks good - but I don't know if it's $230 good (especially when the tents are mostly inaccessible). If I'm honest with myself, if there were regular retail sets, I would probably think "that looks nice - but I have other sets I would rather buy, and/or I'm going to wait for a 20% off sale." The only one that would make me jump out of my seat for a Day 1 buy if it was a regular set would be the Mushroom Village, if I'm honest with myself. That's not to say any of them are bad sets, or that they're overpriced, or I think they're not worth it - I just have to be more careful with my spending money and what exactly I want to purchase - even if it is rare or does look kinda cool. I'm even starting to rethink my Series 3 preorders... I may honestly end of cancelling them or finding someone locally who would want them instead. Still, if you're one of those people who does like one of these (or a furute one) - the more power to you! I just have to think about my own personal budget and space...

Sweet mother of Abraham Lincoln - that's actually genius! Even the lips are basically the same color! Aayla does nothing to excite me - I was able to get her loose a few years ago, and I don't think there's many ways they could improve on that version. The eye color shift became a permanent fixture in Star Wars around 2022 or so, which is well before the 2017 Aalya, so I think there is a real chance that she'll be blind like Ezra, Hera, and the Emperor (still such a dumb move!). Hopefully some Droidekas or something could sneak in to make the set feel more worthwhile. -
Marvel Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
JohnTPT17 replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
As someone who's only familiar with Marvel through the MCU/Fox movies - one version of the characters is fine enough for me! I do know that there's some people out there that do really care about the different visual styles of the minifigs, but, as a more casual fan, I'm not too picky. I can just have an Iron Man, even though I have no idea what the Mark version if it is. Most of the dark blue Captain America suits look pretty much the same to me. I have a few one-off characters in my collection like White Tiger or Blade just because I think they look cool - I have no idea what their comic counterparts are like, nor if they're "accurate" to a particular depiction or not. Maybe I'm just too much of a "casual" to have much to say in these conversations -

The only other regular minifig I might want to squeeze into that lineup would be Belle's blue and white peasant attire - which I don't think would be unreasonable if the Beast technically has two versions. I would even be willing to sacrifice Maurice to see it happen. There's also a case that some of the prints for these guys could be used in other sets, like how Pippin's torso has now showed up in a few other sets. If they do that with one of the minifigs, that could let another one sneak in. -

Eh... All I really would have needed from Beauty and the Beast was a smaller ballroom scene - I don't need the entire castle. Still, I may get it, but I also don't like the idea of pumping out all of these big castles that have desirable minifigs locked behind them. -

Additional details on the Spider-Man 2 Train set: it will be $49.99 with 393 pieces, releasing in August. If the minifigures are straight repeats from No Way Home, I will be very underwhelmed. If they're updated, and the scene looks good - yippie! I'm also glad that they're going iconic scenes without feeling the need to make a multi-hundred dollar set out of it (cough Zelda cough Star Trek cough cough). I wonder if Aunt May or Mary Jane could sneak in as opposed to generic New Yorkers? Bring me Green Goblin next, please! That... Is quite the misunderstanding. So odd that Lego is so allergic to Quicksilver - surely they know he'd be a set seller all by himself, right? -

That trailer is probably the most excited I've felt for a Marvel entry for awhile. The Netflix show was a bit more violent than my regular tastes, but I really liked the characters and story. I'm very interested to see how it will turn out (though I think the chances for any Lego tie-ins are extremely slim). We got the character back in 2016! Not quite the same design as the trailer, but pretty similar. -
Based on what you posted, here's what was said before the Once Piece parts leaked: If we then break it down, claim by claim: The characters of Luffy, Shanks, Buggy, and Zoro. We have seen two parts for Luffy, nothing from Shanks, one part from Buggy, and nothing from Zoro (unless the beanies would go to them, which I'm not sure about). Even then, they all seem to be popular characters, so it's not too hard to guess they could be included. There were quite a few molds Also something easily guessed. Some parts made of soft plastic Assuming that is referring to the arms, this is probably the best evidence going for it, but it's also not an outlandish guess either. The colors were accurate Was there a doubt that the colors would be inaccurate? Basically a nothing statement. The legs had dual printing No legs have leaked yet, so there's no way to confirm that yet. Though that also wouldn't be an outlandish guess. The hats were well-made. Most of what we have seen are the hats, but, again, is there doubt that that could just be a lucky guess. If we're getting new licensed characters, getting new molds for their iconic hairpieces isn't too outlandish. In other words, most of it is guesswork that, largely, could have been easily predicted. I can maybe lend some credit to the guess of the arms, but, again, that could just be a lucky guess. There's not enough therefor me to fully believe that this person 100% has insider information, or has knowledge that Goku/Dragon Ball is coming. There is a chance, but I'm not seeing enough to really believe it (and even if Dragon Ball does come, the fist "scoop" is enough of a vague guess that a broken clock could be right twice, so I'll still remain skeptical).

Interesting idea, but I think the chances for that are nearly zero. Not only to The Beast's horns not stick out that far or at that angle, but his head is not that big, nor would printing on the lower half of that mold for clothing look good. Honestly, the Friends mold is honestly pretty good for a minifigure (outside of the "cute" eyes). -

I have no connection to the original Gameboy - only the Advance, and even then I only played a few basic games on there. I wonder if the mention of it "featuring" a Gameboy means anything? Will it include game cartridges, like the NES? A stand for display? Or am I reading into it too much?
