  1. The upcoming set is now confirmed to be a ToS Bridge. Summer release, no word on price or part count.
  2. Yup! Nintendo and Lego posted a teaser of a Lego Mario minifigure jumping out of a pipe about a week ago.
  3. I have four thoughts going through my mind at this point: 1. Wahoo! Finally! Can't wait to hopefully get some! 2. The printing on Mario is, overall, quite simple. Yes, the head is complex, but the clothes are overall fairly simple. This makes me think that this line will be more geared towards kids, and there should be more, cheaper sets (like Animal Crossing) as opposed to a handful of expensive sets (like Zelda). 3. I wonder if Mario will simply replace the Animal Crossing line? Animal Crossing hasn't felt like it's done great sales-wise, and Mario could easily take its place and budget. 4. Prediction for the January 2027 CMF: Vacuum Salesman, which will make new molds for the Poltergust 3000. That doesn't bother me at all, honestly. I think 95% of minifigures fit just fine into the regular leg/short leg dynamic, and only a very select few need midi-legs or skinny Woody limbs. I suppose that, at worst, you could give him short blue legs so he can be like the pre-mushroom Mario in the 2D games
  4. Funny you should say that; we've actually already gotten him! Though they could go with a "girl zombie suit" to switch things up.
  5. Zombie Mr. Gold Zombieified Zombie Zombie Venom The possibilities are endless!
  6. I've always had a dream of a "Mrs. Silver" to pair with Mr. Gold. Probably wouldn't be able to make it in chrome, but it's a thought.
  7. I hopped on the WALT train at the last minute as well. I figured that, at absolute worst, I can cancel the order before it ships if I'm really regretting things some May.
  8. WALT is tempting me - might make for a fun, unique desk toy. Everything else isn't in the budget for me this time, though.
  9. Sounds like a potential January 2027 CMF?
  10. Mushroom Haven - the creator, JonasKramm, has the instructions and part list for sale here.
  11. I think it's more likely Dragon + Donkey. Shrek will sell plenty on his own, so might as well break up the main iconic duo.
  12. Called it! I'll set a set of them - maybe an extra of a few of them, we'll see. Hopefully there's enough budget to set some good accessories as well.
  13. Unikitty was at least a buildable figure with several parts - I think Donkey would either be a single mold or a body + head, like Scooby-Doo. In that context, I'm less sure which route Lego would go with.
  14. My biggest wish if they are going the Shrek route is that the series is "Shrek" and not "Shrek 5". I'd much rather have Farquad and Fairy Godmother over Shrek's kids. I also wonder what they would do with Donkey - does he get his own slot, or is he an accessory?
  15. Update from Bricktap on the September CMF: "I wouldn’t rule out a 2027 movie for the series after 29" Makes me think Shrek is back on the table.
  16. I think I'll give myself a half point for my Dragon Hatcher (the idea I had in my head is similar to the Monster Hunter), and maybe a tenth of a point each for predicting a food costume and a new tiara. So, .7 points for me!
  17. I took a quick peak at the trailer, and there's a lot of background characters or extra "Things 3-12" that could be used to fill some slots. Or, it could just be a general Seuss series to broadly tie-in with the movie, like what happened with Looney Tunes and Space Jam 2. For now, I'll either guess Seuss or Shrek - there's a chance the leakers didn't realize the movie was bumped back and got that bit wrong (it's happened before).
  18. One figure has now been leaked - Garbage Monster! With Lloyd and Tahu already rumored to come, that only leaves nine slots left... 1. Old-Timey Explorer (Charles Darwin-like minifig with dodo animal) 2. Salon Stylist (Female minifig with at least two brand new hair pieces for accessories - kinda like Dog Sitter from awhile back) 3. Hamburger Costume Girl (I know we jsut got a bunch of costumes, but I have a feeling one will sneak in regardless...) 4. Detective Gal (A nod to the now-public domain Nancy Drew, maybe even in greyscale like Noir Detective) 5. Proper Princess (Purple princess costume with new tiara, similar in style to Fantasy Era's princess) 6. Fire Demon (Mostly trans-orange, will immediately be hoarded by people wanting Johnny Storm customs) 7. Baker Woman (Featuring a new rolling pin mould and/or a piping bag) 9. Lion Costume Dancer (featuring a Chinese lion head and a cape to represent the body) 10. Dragon Hatcher (featuring a recolored purple gradon from D&D and a new color of egg)
  19. My Walmart had two boxes out when I stopped by this afternoon - one was almost full, and one was almost empty. Seem to be pretty popular thus far! I was still able to get everything I wanted, though: lion, monkey, croc, and frog (plus two other ones for gifts)
  20. We are getting the animal costume series in a week - I imagine anything Zootopia related would have to wait awhile to come out. And it might make just as much sense to only do Judy and Nick in a CMF, or maybe one set with 3-4 characters, as opposed to a full CMF.
  21. We can always hope that we get something with minifigs later, like Wicked ended up getting... Hopefully those sets were popular enough that Lego would consider it worth it! I'd be quite interested in a minifig-based set, but I'll pass on mini dolls.
  22. I think that's what they called him with his cameo in that Lego Movie set as well, so it makes sense they would do it again. I suppose they could also go with something like "The Chosen One," but that's already associated with another current licenses series... And "blonde kid with magical powers who grew up without his real parents" is covered as well.
  23. Huh... Sounding like it'll be an "All-Stars" series. I also don't know if I really like Lloyd being in the series, as he's pretty common and already is getting some "throwback" designs this year anyways. Even if he is the face of Ninjago, there was probably someone else that might have been a more interesting choice. EDIT: Apparently, Bricktap just posted that Series 29 is NOT a throwback/allstars series after all, and the other figures are "the type of figs you see in a normal series." Seems like several people know the list at this point - I wouldn't be shocked if the list leaked sooner rather than later.
  24. My guess is that the Bonkle minifig (whatever it ends up looking like) will be used to help take some of the costs away from a bigger Bonkle set coming in the fall. Sort of like how the Monkey King CMF was a precursor to Monkey Kid. I also think that it will be the only specialized "reference" minifig we get in the series. He already have a "themed" series in January, and I think info along those lines would have leaked out by now.
  25. I think any kind of "Lego Legacy Wave" would almost have to include a minifigure each from the "holy trinity" of classic themes - space, castle, and pirates. I'd love if Lord Vortech from Dimensions might be able to sneak into a series like that - but that could have some kind of licensing issue with Warner Bros. I'm not sure if Lego fully owns the rights to that character or not... I'd also put in a vote for Rebel Friend, but there's no way Disney would let that sneak through. There's also a chance some kind of a minidoll could sneak in. Oh, and Western as a maybe. Not exactly the biggest long-term impact on the brand, but there's a dedicated niche. Maybe this series needs to have 16 figures to let more in!
