So many people not satisfied with this set. I am surprised. What do you expect from a 2500 piece count? I knew it was gonna be small. I like it and will get it on day one. I was 9 when the original released and I still have it. So much nostalgia. Oh yeah, I am thinking about getting the motorized lighthouse as well, though it's far overpriced. But I will get the lighthouse with a Majisto gwp. I think the lighthouse will enhance the Eldorado Fortress and they will look great when displayed together with Pirates of Barracuda bay in ship form.

Has anyone the same ideas of putting Eldorado Fortress together with the motorized lighthouse. I think they will make each other look better. I didn't bought the lighthouse because it's too expensive for what you get. I will never use the gimmicks of it. But now I am tempted to buy the lighthouse afterall because it will look like an impressive fort with lighthouse. And the colors are some what similar. Any thoughts?

A new PotC movie will be bad because Johny Depp refuses to play Jack Sparrow again because Disney dumped him while Depp was is in court. Disney : the destroyer of franchises, first they ruin Starwars, then Game of thrones (by seducing Beniof&Weiss) and now it is PotC.

OK there are always exceptions. But this doesn't count because it has no yellow minifigs. Lol

Well smaller cheaper sets are actually more expensive then big sets because of packaging. It's better to buy one 400€ set instead of twenty sets of 20€ in a year. You will notice that you have more value for your money with the big sets.

So everytime a Lego purist acuses me buying 'fake' Lego, I respond with : well Lego is actually fake Kiddiecraft. Even a lot of moc builders use alternative building blocks. Like Mocyourbricks on YouTube who created the magnificent Black Pearl, uses Lego combined with other brands. He even advertises this.

That's why I buy Lego, Bluebrixx and Mouldking. I have no brand loyalty. I just buy what I like. It's not that I hate the red coats or Spanish. It's just that I don't like the imperial trade port from the red coats. It's too open. The Eldorado Fortress is absolutely gorgeous, even today it holds up very well.It really has a fort feeling which I like. If it will be similar to the morized lighthouse style, I will be very happy

I am not. I am a very consent consumer. I don't like the red coats trading post as a kid and I don't like it now.It is to open. I buy what I like. I am not buying some stick what Lego throws at me. They have to earn my money. That's why I am not a Lego purist.Though I have the money to buy these expensive overpriced sets but I am just stubborn. Last months I bought the Black Pearl (far superior to the Lego Black Pearl) and I bought some western sets from the German Bluebrixx group. I am very happy about the quality. I will use Lego minifigs to populate those alternative brands. Competition is good.A monopoly is bad. Being brand loyal is bad because Lego is getting lazy. (I have some color differences from Lego with turquoise,lila, reddish brown and dark red ). Something I never experienced as a kid in the eighties.

Either way : I am going to have a new Eldorado Fortress this year no matter what. If Lego doesn't deliver I will build a great Eldorado moc from rebrickable. I will make the rumour to be true. If it will be a moc I will act like it is a new set. I am so hyped for this that anything else will not satisfy. If it's a red coat trade port remake, I will not buy it. I must have a new Eldorado Fortress. So many nostalgic feelings.

And with yellow necklines ofcourse! Still not convinced! Ceo of Lego will have to call me to confirm release of remaster Eldorado Fortress. Only then I will be convinced. Not some rumours from a random leaker and Starwars lover who has absolutely no knowledge about classic Lego from the eighties. I was 9 when the first Pirate wave released and I have them all ! Oh yeah. Next year Lego will release a gigantic Harry Potter and Starwars set. Now I am a leaker too. I am pretty sure this is accurate because Lego ALLWAYS releases big licensed themes.

That's blasphemy! Confess your sins to God otherwise you will burn in hell! I am also panicing and losing hope. The original leaker is a Starwars fan and maybe he didn't pay really attention to other themes. Lego is only interested where the big money is : Harry Potter and ugly Starwars with their ugly grey vehicules. The millennium Falcon is just a grey hamburger and the AT AT is a bunker with legs.The AT ST is just a grey klunky chicken. While I am no fan of Lord of the Rings, I have to admit : Rivendell is beautiful.

Licensed themes suck! Especially Harry Potter and Starwars. Starwars is just plain ugly. Boring ugly blobs of grey and tan. The only skin toned minifig I have, is Jack Sparrow. But nothing beats good old classic yellow minifigs. Yes I am a yellow minifig supremacist. Skin toned minifigs are inferior to me! And I hope they all have yellow neck lines! Hahaha!

Information leaked april 2? I am beginning to question : was this a 1day late april fools joke? I have absolutely no belief that this set is coming untill I see actually proof. Just to save me from dissapointment.

Yes, Mould King stole it. That's why I bought it at Bluebrixx. The same ship from Mould king is more expensive there because they compensate the designer. The Black Pearl : very impressive, 76cm, 18 canons. Good quality. Sleek and smooth design.Sails could be better, it's more plastic like instead of cloth and to small. Also frinkled so I put them under a heavy book the whole day. The cabin is a little fragile. Defenitely not a play model because the cabin will fall apart easily. Rigging was a lot of work. Was not included so did it myself based on mocyourbricks. 160€ including shipping.2850+pieces.Very satisfied. Looks amazing. Ofcourse no minifigs but I already bought Jack Sparrow on Bricklink. If you're a fan of pirate ships or pirates of the caribbean, I can recommend this! Way better looking than Lego Black Pearl. Verdict : 8,5/10. It would have been a 9,5 if the sails where bigger and not wrinkled and if the build of the cabin was more stable.

That's why I bought it on the Bluebrixx website. It's a German brand that is very popular in Germany. They have also fysical stores just like Lego. They mentioned it's a moc from mocyourbricks and it's with permission with him. He receives a compensation. I hope more moccers will colaborate with Bluebrixx because competition is good for the consument. A monopoly is really bad.

Today I recieved the Black Pearl from Mould King. Bought it at the bluebrixx webshop. The box looks really good. Lego quality. Actually better because it feels very smooth. Tomorrow I will start building. Ship is a beauty with 2850 pieces and is 76cm in length. First time I bought non Lego there is nothing good avaible at Lego pirate themed.

I still have everything from the original pirate wave in 1989.I really like the upgrade with the pirate Island and black seas barracuda from the lego ideas. Now I am curious how a remaster of Eldorado Fortress will look like. My favourite soldier set. I never liked the red coats and the trading post. Though I had some sets of them including the red coats ship. The design of the Eldorado Fortress is just top notch! Especially for a 1989 set. The most impressive wave of the eighties! And it still looks good today! That says enough.

Well then you are not living in Europe or Latin America. Soccer is a not a sport but a religion in those regions. So I do think Lego thinks soccer sets will be appealing to more people and Lego will prefer selling soccer sets over pirates sadly. I will only be sure of the release of the remaster Eldorado Fortress when I see real pictures and not rumours. A couple of months ago I saw rumours on a German site of a Lego Barbie set with the same number as this Eldorado set rumour. So rumours are all garbage. The best thing to do is to expect nothing so I cannot dissapointed. The only thing Lego cares about , is Starwars and Harry Potter. Because there is where the most money is.

And it better be the Eldorado fortress with the bluecoats. I was 9 when it released so I have very strong nostalgic fealings about it. If it something else : a redcoats trading port or a pirate Island, then I will not buy it. In all excitement and fan of Jack Sparrow I bought the Black Pearl from Bluebrixx. They mentioned it that's a design from create your moc on YouTube so I guess they paid him the design. It really looks fantastic and it's bigger(76cm and 18 cannons! ) than the ship from pirates of Barracuda bay. Still waiting for delivery. Reviewers said that the quality of bricks is good.

Yes it is applied to the Jurassic Park visiting centre from the first movie 1993. You can preorder this since a couple of months ago. The rest of the Jurassic Park wave you don't have to preorder. Just check the Lego website. I really hope it's true. If all this is a joke then he should be thrown overboard and feed him to the sharks. Arrrrgh!

I hope so but I am not sure. I think Lego is not sure if this sell well enough for their shareholders. So I think we can preorder this on june 15th, so Lego will know how many it has to produce for its release next year.
