I think Star Wars CMF line would thrive tenfold. Isn't it just a myth that "licensing" prevents them from doing it? On a realistic note, yeah, "space" is way to much of a dead giveaway if this was in fact a Star Wars project. Futurama could actually be likely.

What I meant by bartering was the "free us or die" scene - barge and skiff. I didn't say but if this set were to be MBS, it would have the skiff and sarlaac otherwise it would just be UCS if it was a standalone barge. Right? I'm not denying the other scenes from the movie, but we know with some certainty a UCS/MBS sized Sail Barge is coming. Perhaps it's called MBS Dune Sea or something and it tips off the large scale barge leak, like how the supposed "swamp speeder" just ended up being labeled a battle pack.

The entire bartering scene, Luke doing the backflip to reveal his green saber, the entire struggle with the Sarlaac, Boba Fett flying in from the deck to join the fight, Luke getting on the deck fighting all the pirates, Leia strangling Jabba, and ultimately Luke blowing the whole thing up with the cannon. The more I think about it, it's actually a perfect MBS set.

Sail Barge should be a $400 MBS set. Anything beyond that price is abhorrent

Yeah I really hope Lego comes swinging with a new MBS for the big fall set, whether or not the rumored Sail Barge will be classified accordingly we'll just have to see. We have been getting some major leaks so we could lowkey learn this soon.

I guess my point which I didn't really state (lol) is that there are still a handful of sets that would be great in that $240 UCS slot that haven't been made before. Seeing a remake of a UCS always kinda rubs me the wrong way, hence why the 3rd rendition of the X-Wing did nothing but disappoint me.

Lego try to make a cool May 4 UCS set challenge (impossible) This is seriously disappointing news after the dud that was the X-Wing, and despite it being a good build, the Landspeeder as well. So I guess we can assume Jabba's Sail Barge will in fact be the big 2HY UCS

I just realized shock troopers were a perfect opportunity for dual molded legs, as well as Padme too. I'm starting to get quite annoyed with the Star Wars theme getting skimped on dual molded legs and exclusively locking them behind UCS sets when its incredibly common in nearly every other theme where its appropriate.

Final thoughts, it's cooler than I thought from the previous pics. It's still just a tad too small, especially for the price.

It is identical to what we have been looking at for weeks. Other note, Palpy is fire, easy fix on his hair piece cuz that one they gave him aint it. Dooku hair piece will look great on that I think.

TRoS is still on shelves funny enough. A Millenium Falcon should be constantly on shelves, just perhaps shifting around the context. A RoTJ one with Lando and Nien Nunb would be sick. Fair enough. Could probably be upwards of $400 on that note and maybe include a Sarlaac and Skiff to make it feel more "complete"

Yeah I figured that was absolute BS. MandR quoted LB on that who said it was his guess. How quickly information gets skewed What are you basing this comment off of? I know the leak suggested it would be larger by piece count, but the picture looked no where close to that. Also, who would really buy a $650 Sail Barge? It does not have the clout and legend status to fetch that price tag. Lego is very careful in that realm, hence why the Millenium Falcon, AT-AT, ISD, and Razor Crest (all incredibly recognizable and iconic) were approved. 2013 sail barge was 850 pieces, these $240 UCS have been landing around 1900-2000 pieces. I think with an extra 1100ish pieces it could reach minifigure scale.

In the new MandR video he quotes someone at 1:10 (idk where the source is) that the clones in the Battle Pack will be shinies.

Not to mention the 136 piece YJA set for $50. What the heck is with the 4+ pricing?

Some headscratchers in terms of release dates on this wave... why wait until May for a $30 Mando S3 set? Hoping some Ahsoka sets make it into the 5 unknown ones.

I wish midi scale included atleast one fig, that's where the Executor loses me now. Hope they heard the feedback and give 1-2 figs going forward, even though I know that's unlikely. Antilles and Leia for Tantive / Han and Chewie for Falcon. Would elevate those sets tenfold. I am sure we will get Antilles in that Tantive diorama tho...

Does this news warrant the creation of the 2024 thread? it's promo, so i'd lean toward this being incredibly strong information Also, RIP helmets (for now hopefully) such a fun run

Yeah I think with more clear pics of Rex it's actually a strong figure. Cant fix the helmet holes, but luckily the waist can be fixed. Arm prints are great, helmet print is decently good, but wish they maybe tried something new for the shoulder pauldron. Again, another fixable thing though. I was also kinda hoping he would be a bit dinged up like Cody was - he looks too clean. Can't wait to see what the ship itself looks like.

Yeah I am having this same thought, too. Yularen really just looks like another dude in a uniform. Rex, we knew what was coming for a while now. I'd say it's at least a 6/10. Would add a custom waist cape to hide that nonsense printed on. Now that the figs are out of the way, I must say I am still way more excited for the ship itself.

A bit odd that we have yet to see official Gunship reveal. They know we all saw it, what's the delay?

I love "upgrading" my figs. Have to see how this show plays out to warrant if I actually want Baylin and Shin, but will certainly be getting some orange 4L's if I go through on them! Does the third inquisitor "Marrok" have orange blades in the show?

Shame the inquisitors didn't get a new trans orange 4L for their sabers, but oh well

There's still a sequel trilogy Christmas themed promo set rumored that we know very little about

I feel that, but at this point in my life, I'm not playing with the sets anymore so I can look beyond lack of play features
