LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Old Master replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
What is the description (if any) from leakers about this buildable creature thus far? All I remember hearing was that it wasn't instantly recognizable as a "Star Wars staple" so to say. -

I didn't mind the lack of pupils on the Emperor, but the Maul looks wrong -

Is the micro fighter Rex said to come with the pauldron? Seeing how they did Boba Fett, granted for a mech, seems unlikely to me -

75394 is actually the number for the rumored Death Star set I believe. 75392 is a mystery set with 1186 pcs at $99.99. I guess I also missed the part when it was determined that said mystery set was a buildable creature? How reliable is that rumor? -

On an actual serious note, has Lego ever made Farmboy Luke with his hat? -

I personally see the Dark Falcon being a 1-2 year run with a classic Falcon with OT minifigures coming out to succeed it. Been discussed on here many times, but certain things like an X-Wing, Tie Fighter, or even the Falcon will likely always be on shelves (in some capacity) -

That's what I'm saying! There's more to ESB than Hoth, Lego! Lando Calrissian is waaaaay too inaccessible as a Lego minifigure for being a main character of the Original Trilogy (which is usually dominating shelf space as a sub theme). Would be interested to see if Lego decided to make new, non-Hoth ESB sets if they'd take a stab at a new hair mould for Leia that more accurately depicts her Cloud City braids. ESB Falcon would be sick, but I wonder if this "evil" Falcon will be the staple Falcon for the next couple years... -

Maybe just a generic Imperial base looking thing without any major indicators that it is the Death Star -

Don't wanna get too wishlist-y here, but with the diorama series I would like to see a Cloud City scene get made. Ah, perhaps the leakers expressed it was in the style of Betrayal of Cloud City and that's where the CC came from. People probably just got carried away by the mention of "Cloud City" given the status and inaccessibility of both previous versions -

It will very likely be the GWP for the highest purchase threshold ($160) Is 75394 100% a Death Star/Imperial themed set? I forget where, but I remember hearing sound bites about a potential playscale Cloud City. Don't know how much credibility there is to that but I'm just double checking if I missed that rumor. -

Haha yep However, I think that's probably very close to what the figure will end up looking like. I'd love printed eyes, but looking back with how some of the box art last year showed him with the proper reddish eyes, but no such matching prints, I personally don't see it happening for this upcoming minifig either -

I fully agree. If the set is based on ANH, which is my almost certain guess, I think it would be a massive blunder if no Tarkin figure. The figure from 75159 has become incredibly unobtainable which is an issue for any (semi) main character. Recently bought 10188 with no minifigures and was able to fill most gaps - but hoping this summer the set can complete some of the more expensive ones -

That certainly seems like a more fitting price. I imagine this set is gonna be very Yavin-4-esque and serve as a complimentary set -

I wasn't doubting the credibility of the sets existence, merely the price to piece ratio seeming way off. 1555 pieces for $80 is unheard of, especially for Star Wars - was more my concern. Just wanted to confirm on here if that was the correct price. -

To get back on topic, is 75392 (1186 pcs, $99.99, August 1) the only remaining unknown set assuming the D2C is a Sail Barge? Going off this list, don't know how reliable it is. Claims the Death Star play set is $79.99 for 1555 pcs? Seems too good to be true... -

At the end of the day, the OT will always be the best selling sub genre of Star Wars sets. Lego very likely prioritizes these and mitigate their risk towards things like Andor, TBB, etc. that don't reach as wide of an audience -

That would be cool, but is a massive "if" for sure. I'd be happy just to get a new Tarkin fig as he has become quite unobtainable -

This sounds great. I just have to wonder how *spherical* this set will be. lol The new info regarding ~1500 pieces certainly makes this one of the more interesting leaks we are dealing with -

Been a while since I've been on here, but this Death Star set was enough to get me to come back. Supposed to have 8 figs? Has anyone said anything about the possibility of ANH Tarkin remake? -

I wonder if we will see "Ahsoka the White" in mini figure form down the line. Is it confirmed that there will be more Ahsoka sets for 2024? -

I wouldn't go as far to say vastly superior. I think the 2013 one is more accurate to his TCW appearance whereas this new one is more accurate to live action. Sorry if that's a spoiler but official Star Wars pages have posted it all over the place.
