IC: De'kra noted Arthur's attention shift toward's that artifact of Skrall. The echo tensed up briefly, before shifting to a warm yellow. "Are you okay?" he clicked, "You seem distract. It something I say or enact?" He stared at Arthur carefully, not sure of what to do.

IC: De'kra clicked darkly, "I once knew "hero" who fought against evil, who defend great city from criminals and warlords. But as she fought on, she began to take more dangerous methods to fight them. She start to think that villains should be stop at any cost. And then she start to wonder, maybe best solution is hunt down and kill all evil. To prepare she took artifact, an item that let her absorb power of other individuals, and add it to her own. As criminals came to take it, she murder villagers, and blame criminals. That way her heroes would take out hunters, which she absorb her comrade's power." "One hero found out though," he clicked, "and he realize she had fallen. He try to stop her, but another "hero" decide her way was better. Two of them kill good hero, and proceed to recruit more heroes. Soon she began her crusade, ravage entire civilizations. Gradually she decide active evil not enough, she had to purge anything that could threaten her order. Peaceful inventors were slaughter for have potential to make weapons, defenders were hunt down and slain. Soon she control military dictatorship, worse than criminals and warlords she once fought."

IC: De'kra clicked, "I not too surprise. It seem like Wren to use people like tools, just like Piraka she is. Hopefully Dastan will be able to protect Ella without heroes' aid, now that war is over. She seem like nice person, though I not see her long. Lewa...you one of heroes who saw Wren last right? Can you recall what she said? Might give heroes in Quest 38 something to prepare for, it she let something slip. And Ella out of her current grasp she might make a move on another psionic user, possibly one in Haddon. "

IC: De'kra shook his head and clicked, "You can not change destiny, if you can it was not meant to happen. No one really know their destiny, few that know pieces of it are rare. And those few not know all details. No, destiny immobile. But you not really answer question. I understand change can be fearsome, but then why people drive change? Why rebel against order, if they are scare of chaos? And if humans are chaotic like you say, would they not embrace change? Or you agree that spirits both chaotic and order? And why then heroes try to control chaos as you say? I know I not do it to be fear, but I am...different." OOC: I am loving this.
-
IC: De'kra paused for a time, listen in though. Finally he clicked, "Why you think someone would want to control chaos, or affect it? Ignore paradox of randomness under control of course."

Those who do not learn from history...

IC: De'kra nodded grimly, though he avoided eye contact with the witch, "There are ways to steal god's power, hence why Wren is threat. Question is has she found proper technique, and is her body made to withstand that kind of power? I personally doubt it, base on experience...Maybe...maybe we talk about it when you return from Quest 38? I would suggest use link-books if they are work, but and Wren on your mind you might not want distraction."
-
IC : De'kra replied, "But spirits not only chaotic. Take Shadeaux and Hinckwell, can you image their leaders embrace each other as brothers and abandon pursuit of money? Or picture Cronk torture innocent children? No, that would not happen. There many things people will not enact, because of morals, logic, common sense, and other factors. Maybe even because it not in their nature. Spirits not solely chaotic, they order too. Nothing can be pure chaos, because if anything is pure then it has order. And order in mortals is enough to make "chaos" predictable. Everything has pattern, Wren as well. All it takes is find it." OOC: De'kra doesn't really believe in miracles or magic, everything can be understood by science. He acknowledges Ether, but he believes it could be analyzed and understood.
-
IC: De'kra clicked from some ways away, "But if chaos is control by someone, it is no longer random. Very definition of chaos, at least as I know it, is unpredictable, random. So if someone could manipulate chaos, and chaos follow orders of person, would chaos not be order by that person's wishes? Because why truly chaotic people can exist, they would be too random to control anything for long. So in end, chaos could not be control, for it will stop be chaos. Not mean Wren not threat though. And I agree chaos not all bad, is free will not chaotic? But I not think it can truly be control, it goes against its naturet."

You know, as I look over De'kra's new image made by Flipz, it occurs to me that Pretzel might have a reaction to his ebony shadowed body, glowing eyes, and flaming sword. I might be wrong though, I just get this feeling...

IC: De'kra made his way into the marketplace once more, and approached the artifact stand. Handing over fifty gold, De'kra watched as the Scroll of Confusion's power flowed deep into his locket. Now he would be protected from both confusion, and enamored effects, whatever the latter meant. De'kra paused, but it was too late to remove the power now. Besides, it still might have benefits.
-
IC: De'kra watched as Arthur casual brought up the hunt for Wren. The echo stared at him carefully, only relaxing once he moved on to talking about whatever hair was. He didn't seem too obsessed, maybe De'kra misunderstood. Hope upon hope invested in that idea, though De'kra had a sneaking suspicion that it was not so easy as a misunderstanding this time. OOC: I would feel a lot safer if that PM had been answered.
-
IC: De'kra dipped his head in thanks to Copper Fox, though a glimmer of doubt remaned. Still, this was the best way. This way he could limit his kills, and when he die kill, it would be a clean and painless death. Hopefully by being a killer, he could stop killing. A maddening paradox, but it was the best path ahead of him. At least, that he could see. Either way, the echo returned to tha hall, finally joining so many heroes in advanced classes.
-
IC: Suddenly De'kra winced as a voice shrieked. There was a sigh from De'kra, the voices were right, it was time for him to embrace the paradox. Finally he clicked, "Forgive I, I have to go to Train Hall. I have been put off I advance class upgrade, and I can not enact that any longer. I will be back soon, but I must take first step."
-
IC: De'kra nodded to Nerwen and clicked, "It was quick journey, though I was distract try to adapt to gift." The echo pulled out a stout object, and flexed it. The collapsed device extended into a instrument of some sort, carved in the shape of a dragon. Two holes rested on the surface for changing tone, but the real oddity was the fold out wings. Each wing was divided into three lines, like the keys of a piano. De'kra sighed contently as he looked over it, and clicked, "I remember how to make music from back home, though I not recall how I learn it. I memories still lack I in them. Still, it is good to craft song again. I guess she notice that song I wove in final battle." The echo paused, and then clicked, "I worry about other heroes. Many of ones who meet Wren seem...passionate about her capture. And right they should fear, power of gods can be stolen, if done right. But I worry she becomes too...thought dominate. Like I said in Dastan, from what I heard, Wren might think of world as game. That people are tools to use, and when she bores of her allies, they will be cast aside. And even though heroes will fight her, they will be tangle in her dangerous game. She has to be stop, but interact and her and danger follows. I not sure if this fear make sense, I not understand everything about Olegaia, and I confusion tend to make problems.." The strange creature trailed off, as his mind wandered off to his coming class change. OOC: hopefully this is okay, I think it is cool none the less.
-
IC: De'kra's eyes shifted to a yellow glow as he commented, "Everyone has destiny, but few know it. And those few not know much. Only through faith in unity and devotion to duty can destiny be found. At least...that was how it was and I people." The echo was not too far away, glancing at them unsubtly.
-
IC: De'kra heard Arthur's voice boom across the hall, and quickly the ice shattered from his eyes. "I...I will talk later," he clicked, before walking away. As the echo walked off, he spotted the quest board. All the time he had been in Uland he had neglected to check it. Glancing through it, he spotted Quest 44. The echo read through the description again and again, as his eyes morphed into a bright green. With a mighty sweep of his hand De'kra signed up for Quest 44. As the echo walked away from the sign-up list, he heard the voice speak in a calm sorrowful voice. De'kra paused as he heard the voice, unsure of the voice's meaning. But at least he knew what he had to do, what path he had to take. OOC: I know you don't like my tendency to role play, so I will try to tone it down if De'kra goes. But honestly it will be hard for me to do, so go with your gut.

At the risk of sparking further debate, how does this ruling affect NPC's with SP?
-
De'kra nodded, his eyes a constant blue."More and more heroes in Hall meet Wren," he clicked, "and they end up...passionate? about catch her. I worry about them. From all I know of Wren, she seem type to think of people as toys. That she think people are fun to play and, but once she is bore of them they get thrown away. I worry for heroes who get tangle up in her plans. And if she indeed intend to steal power of god....well, I know of demon? who stole we god's power. It was not good. I know you were on quest involve Wren, though I not sure how much contact you had. If you know way to protect people from her, maybe predict her mind, I would appreciate hear it." "Also," clicked the echo, "I apologize for whatever happen last time you and I met. I was...confuse about many things. But that no excuse for whatever occur."
-
I really have no business talking in this debate, as I have not hosted a quest and am not an expert on mevhanics, so I will not get involved. Instead I will bring up a side of the discussion I have not seen addressed, one that the last three quests had a lot of; enemies with SP. ...I didn't say I would talk about, just bring it up.

IC: De'kra returned to the hall, a little sadder in his steps. As the echo glanced around the hall, he spotted that Norsemen, the one with the disease, that Tomas said wasn't a disease, that Dak tried to examine, which had made De'kra confused. The urge to avoid a possible repeat was...strong, but De'kra needed to do this. And it might as well be now than later. Walking cautiously to Haldor, De'kra clicked, "Excuse I Shaman, I need to ask you question. That okay?"
-
IC: De'kra half leapt about as he walked into the library, still fairly pleased with the victorious mission in Dastan. If it had not been for Tarn and Xander, it all might have been for naught. Not to mention Arthur leading the charge to protect Ella. And De'kra had only one side of the tale, so many other events happened he had missed. Important events... De'kra shook his head of that, first things came first. The echo moved over to Quest 29, which was surprisingly unupdated. Of course they had returned to the hall not too long ago, and it was the biggest adventure yet, if 30 and 31 are counted with it. With a nod De'kra left a note detailing what he remembered of the quest, before moving to his abjective. Unfortunately as De'kra went to examine the records for Quest 30 and Quest 31, he found that they were also unfinished and empty. There was enough information to paint him some of the quests secrets, enough to make him concerned. Carefully setting down the records, the echo forced his eyes to an icy sky, and walked over to the old records for Quest 7 and Quest 19. He had a task ahead of him now...

Okay that map is beautiful. By the way, what was the inspiration for Dastan's culture and look, assuming it had one.

IC: De'kra walked into the marketplace, which seemed quite a bit bigger than when he last saw it. First thing first, the echo walked over to Portia's stand, to restock his supplies. From the selection echo chose 10 potions (-50), 2 Phoenix Essences (-100), 2 remedies (-20), 3 grand potions (-30), and 2 smoke bombs (-10). Now loaded with supplies and 210 gold shorter, the echo moved to the next stall. Walking to the forge, De'kra nodded to the smith, and deposited a massive (for him) 390 gold, and handed him Chiara, Kapura, and the hand cannon. The echo watched carefully as flames danced about Kapura and Chiara as their weapon power increased to WP: 7, as did the cannon. For once he might actually do so damage to foes. Maybe. Finally De'kra glanced at the new stand, where artifacts stood strange and exotic. De'kra paused, before muttering, "What enamor mean?" De'kra winced as he remembered letting his heroes down because of his indecision. With a nod he traded 40 gold for a heart locket, hoping it could indeed prevent another situation. But as he bought the object, he noticed that this stall could merge a scroll into an artifact, which would protect the wielded from the scroll's affect. Truthfully he had bought the scroll from Arthur since he had heard of the Mage's debts, and hoped not to add to them. But now he might have use from it. Still, he might as well see if a Mage or cleric wants it first, before merging it. So for now as he entered the hall, he still had 75 gold. OOC: De'kra's voice, reminding us that love is not confined to romance since 2012.

OOC: hopefully this link works properly. IC: As De'kra entered the hall he lowered the musical tool, hiding it back within his cloak. It was...neutral to be back in Eubric, neither great nor necessarily worse. But he was here. The echo knew he would head to the market, training hall, and library soon, but for now he could just relax knowing that the heroes sent to Dastan had played a hand in saving it.
