It is the goal. To have an accurate french helmet for the french tank crew of the early ww2
-
Gentlemen i designed an accurate french adrian helmet modèle 1935 modified for armor crew (my eyes were bleeding seeing the traditional plane pilote genuine lego helmet with glasses on all the amazing WW2 tanks pictures). I needed a french tank to fit my crew inside. I confess, i was on ALI EXPRESS and find a nice R35. it looks good, but it was a huge mistake, so painfull to build( but minifigs stickers was good). But i am a little proud of what it renders with my accurate equipped crew. TADAH..... hi, still working on the imperial grande armée, i present you a first lieutenant of the chasseurs à pieds de la garde impériale. Let's look at the bearskin, which is slightly different than the famous one of the grenadier: it is a little shorter, with no plate badge nor "cul de singe" ( literal translation would be monkey's megablocks, maybe to refer at the red bottom of baboons), the red plate with white grenade at the top. still working of a butes series Genral Cambronne was the commander in chief of the infantry division of the imperial guard at the WATERLOO battle. He is famous for answering to the suurender proposal of the Brits by "MERDE" (or shit in english), then "la garde meure mais ne se rend pas" (the guard die but never surrender). Hello, i didn't know where to post it, so i try here. Loving lego is awesome, except when you don't have the same tastes that your second half, speaking of living room decoration. I had to remove my minifig army from the bookshelf, my wife was affraid to be attacked by night by some fierce napoleonic tiny hussars. But i didn't give up, wanted to show my love for lego and history, i designed and printed some artistic bustes, reminding minifigs. I love military history. And don't take any offense, i was not thinking you were judging. and indeed it seems an unaturally way of carriing at the first sight. -

thank you, actually, french procedures are to point forward the scabbard when are not at ease (marching too). during napoleonic wars , it was already the case, to avoid it to move and to slap the leg when marching. All orders for parade come from this time, when battle were fought in line: "attention (prepare to march, so carry your weapon), forward... march!!!" this is why french (and some other nations) carry their scabbard like that. -
