We are. The Batmobile will release in August, but with Joker instead of Flash.

TBF, WW84 and Black Adam both got stellar early reactions and BvS got a standing ovation so I wouldn’t put too much stock in early reactions.

Probably an updated torso print (shadows on the vest to emphasize his coat) and a different facial expression. Same thing they did when they released a new Cesar Romero Joker. I would really like them to use the new fedora from the Indiana Jones sets, but I’m not getting my hopes up.

Who knows. Maybe the Batcave was originally intended as a direct tie-in set with a bunch of Flash characters but then the Ezra situation happened and they repurposed it as a loose tie-in based on Batman Returns and didn’t have the remaining budget to give us a bunch of figures. Given everything we’ve seen happen so far I think this might be the most likely explanation for why we’re getting a Keaton Batman wave with very few figures per set. (The Batwing and Batmobile are both over $30 and only include Batman and Joker.)

Just to add to this, it’s the only post that account has made and we already know the set was canned. Probably the laziest bait I’ve ever seen.

I think the big issue here is the bizarre choices Lego has made. Like the Daily Bugle and the Sanctum Sanctorum were both cool choices and they are big enough to justify the price point. Both great sets. But who wants a giant Black Panther bust or a Hulkbuster that it grossly disproportionate just so you can stick an ugly buildable Iron Man inside? And now we’re getting a giant Batcave, which sounds like a dream come true. Except it’s based on a (IMO) boring cave design from a 30 year old movie and looks like a giant grey box when displayed. At least the giant Batmobiles and Batwing look cool. Certainly doesn’t help either that there’s seven figures and only like 1 of them isn’t generic or a version of a character we haven’t gotten before.

Where is everyone getting that the Batmobile and Batwing are included with the cave? Brickclickers post made it sound like the only thing included in it’s the cave was platforms to display them. A TDKT wave would be cool. We’ve yet to get a Catwoman, Two Face, or Ra’s Al Ghul from that trilogy. Throw them in with The Bat, Batpod, and Tumbler respectively and you’ve got a solid wave.

Yeah, when it was first announced a $450 Batcave sounded incredible. Now that we’ve gotten more details it just sounds kinda disappointing. Only 7 figures. Two of them are Batman’s that will be in other sets, 3 of them are just generic white men probably made using recycled heads and torsos, 1 is a version of a character we can arguably make a better purist version of using a previously released depiction of the character. So, Catwoman? That’s the big draw in terms of figures? I like Michelle Pfiffer Catwoman as much as the next guy, but still, not as worth $450. And the build itself sounds… bizarre. Surely it’s not just a giant box, right? There’s no way Lego would release a big display piece that just looks like a big grey box, right? I’m gonna hold off judgement until we see pictures, hopefully within the next few weeks, but so far I’m not liking the sounds of this. IMO a comic based Batcave should have been a no-brainer here. Plenty of minifigure potential, tons of potential Easter eggs, and you’d be able to draw in all Batman fans instead of just Keaton Batman fans. Hopefully with Superman Legacy and The Batman part II, we’ll see a revival of this theme in 2025. Until then, I have very low expectations and would be surprised if we got anything at all in 2024.

There hasn’t been a financially successful DCEU film since the first Shazam. Maybe Lego just decided they didn’t want to lose money on what might just end up being a bunch of shelf warmers.

They could always revamp the set to be a standalone Burton movie set and release it alongside the Batwing in August(?). Or could Lego could just not be promoting the set due to the Ezra Miller controversy, similar to how they didn’t promote their police sets back in 2020. Or the set could come out later than expected, it could be cancelled, or Lego could just be holding off the reveal for some reason. If anyone knows what is going on they don’t seem to be saying.

Maybe The Flash set doesn’t come out in May? IDK, seems weird we haven’t seen it yet. Not even in leaks.

It looks like the Mark 50 with the torso section incomplete and other small differences.

That Wally West Flash is probably fake. But that said, it looks a bit too clean for paper decal. And it’s not existing parts either. I’m not betting on a surprise Hall of Justice mind you, but I’m not ruling out that the figure might be legitimate, especially with all the crazy leaks we’ve gotten recently.

It’s not my favorite, but the new cowl looks pretty good.

It’s very possible Lego is doing what they did with the police sets back in 2020 and just not advertising the Flash set due to the controversy surrounding the subject matter.

I can understand The Flash set being canned. But I find it hard to believe Lego wouldn’t just release it as a stand-alone Batmobile.

Here’s what I’m expecting for the 8 stories: - Avenger’s lounge - Quinjet hanger - armory (Hawkeye needs to store his bow somewhere) - Hall of armor - Tony and Bruce’s lab - obligatory prison cell - ‘giant’ arc reactor - lobby edit: no idea why some text is bigger than others. Don’t read into it.

Allegedly, the Sonic sets include an Eggman bigfig. So it sounds like they’re back.

I think the biggest issue here is that the DCEU wasn’t even popular enough to sell sets when the films were coming out.

TLMB Penguin was very clearly based on Devito’s take on the character, more specifically, the most iconic costume he wore. Probably why they decided to base their actual Devito Penguin on a different costume he wore.
