  1. The Batcave being Keaton based is kinda disappointing. But at the same time, it’s Lego. We can easily modify it to make it comic based. Ideally, a $500 shouldn’t be something you buy so yo can modify, but it is what it is I guess. Also, great to see we’re getting Returns Penguin and Catwoman. Been wanting versions of those characters for a while.
  2. Fitting since the DCEU also made some pretty bizarre decisions.
  3. Flash set leak imminent?
  4. It gets hot under the cowl. Batman needs a sweatband. Don’t judge. :p
  5. Expect nothing and you won’t be disappointed.
  6. They did do it. Thor’s hammer from last year. They’ve done that. And they’ve done $250+ sets with just two minifigures. Just look at the UCS Tumbler.
  7. We’re all gonna be coping hard when the Batcave only includes 5 figures: Batman, Joker, Penguin, Harley Quinn, and Damien Wayne.
  8. Yeah, I don’t think we’re getting nipples on a minifigure anytime soon. Remember the outrage two years back when Black Cat didn’t have enough cleavage for some people? 😆
  9. I can’t think of any instance of Black Widow and Captain America being involved in a bike chase per se in any other films either. Age of Ultron I guess comes close when Black Widow was riding that bike as they fought Ultron’s for vision’s body in that truck. But it’d admittedly be weird to translate that scene to a set and only include the bike and not the Quinjet and truck. Also, the sets aren’t super accurate. The latest Hall of Amor had Tong fighting Whiplash using suits from Iron Man 3 and Endgame with Nick Fury there. The Avengers compound was destroyed by the time Thanos and Scarlet Witch were duking it out. And of course there’s some very obvious scaling issues with Sanctuary II and Iron Monger.
  10. Jarro in The Batcave or we riot!
  11. I got you. 76257: 'Buildable' Wolverine $29.99 (8+, 327 pcs) June - set will include a buildable wolverine figure, like the Ant-Man figure we got earlier this year but mroe Wolverine-ish 76258: 'Buildable' Captain America $29.99 (8+, 310 pcs) June - same as the Wolverine thing, but more Captain America-y 76260: 'Cap and Black Widow Bike Chase' $14.99 (6+, 130 pcs) June - set includes Black Widow wearing a baseball cap. She's chasing after a bicycle thief 76261: 'NWH Statue Of Liberty Battle' $99.99 (10+, 900 pcs) - Just fans getting their hopes up, probably not even real. 76262: Captain America's Shield $199.99 (18+, 3128pcs) - includes a giant buildable version of Captain America's shield. Yes, it is bulletproof. No, I wouldn't recommend testing it. 76263: ? (4+, 66 pcs) - this set will include Lego bricks 76266: $99.99 (10+,794pcs) - this set will also include Lego bricks 31209: The Incredible Spider-man ($199.99, 2099pcs) August - Spider-Man joins The Incredibles to fight Screenslaver and Mysterio 71039: 'Marvel CMF Series 2' (Boxed, $4.99 each) - You're all about to be very disappointed by who they chose to exclude 76267: $44.99 (7+, 243pcs - Advent Calendar) Figures - Not sure, but I'm guessing it's Christmas themed. 76222: (Likely DC due to delays) - Batman's something or other 76246: - IDK, probably something for Batman 76249: Venomized Groot ($49.99, 630pcs) - the only set anyone is gonna buy this year 76250: $69.99 (18+, Helmet?) - Yeah, this is probably a helmet. Maybe Black Panther's for anyone who wants a smaller version of the set from last year. 76252: - $2000 Morbius bust
  12. I’ll give you our first one. He always wears black, or grey and blue. He has a cool car and lots of money too. He fights crime by night, and whenever we can His sidekick is Robin, his name is …
  13. I wouldn’t worry about it. Shoving a bunch of non-Batman characters into something Batman is the exact opposite of DC’s usual strategy.
  14. Yeah, that’s pretty much what everyone means by “comic inspired.” Not that it’s actually a verbatim copy of the comics cave (which changes with each run at least). Just that it includes comic figures and isn’t a verbatim copy of any one film or TV show.
  15. Ok, sure, the Quinjet figures could very well be in the D2C. But that doesn't automatically mean we're getting the tower. It could be a Helicarrier based on Avengers 1. It could be a UCS Quinjet. Plenty of options that could include those figures as well as the core characters from the first Avengers film.
  16. At least Invisible Woman is easy to purist.
  17. Fair point. I got carried away hoping for an X-Men mansion.
  18. How sure are we about the Flash set being the only Batmobile we’ll see this year?
  19. I think the main issue with getting a Wayne Manor set is that, to connect to the Batcave, it would need to be planned (read: it would need release next year). We already know X-Men Mansion is coming either next year or the year after. What are the odds of Lego making two superheroes mansions in one year?
  20. The same could be said for The Daily Bugle. No one knows the inside or cares about it. It’s only the exterior anyone recognizes. Same for Wayne Manor. The appeal of Wayne Manor is having a giant building on top of the Batcave. Now, were Lego to actually do it, they could go the same route as The Bugle and just make up rooms/pull from sources. Some obvious choices for rooms in a Wayne Manor would be Bruce’s office, the armory from Batman 89, the library from Batman Begins, and the main hallway from Batman Forever. Pull off the same technique of multiple floors on the exterior, single floor on the outside from the Sanctum Sanctorum. You’ve got a decent Wayne Manor that, with a nice set of figures, could probably sell in the $200-$300 range. Edit: The living room from Batman 66 is another room that could be fun to include.
  21. Well, you can either display it opened up as The Batcave, or closed as a big gray rock. 😁
  22. In that case, it’ll appeal to AFOLs who want a big mansion. 😁
