  1. I doubt even all these would be enough to convince anyone to buy a set based on The Hobbit trilogy.
  2. Helm’s Deep or Orthanc. Aside from Moria, those are the only locations left that the general public would recognize and maybe buy sets for. And we just got a Balarog bookend set, so they’re not going to cannibalize the sales for that.
  3. Yeah, I’d assume something like this with more detailing and maybe larger, similar to what we got for Barad-Dur. The shape of the whole city is too iconic for Lego to pass up on and I imagine more people will be disappointed if Lego fails to capture that than they will be if it’s not 100% minifgure scaled.
  4. Minecraftgoat said there were four sets that might be DC in the summer. I assume these are those sets. So I doubt there’s anything else. We’ve typically gotten at least one Batman D2C set per year, but we’ve also seen the Superheroes cut back pretty heavily on the number of D2C sets last year, so I don’t think there’s any guarantees. Lego designers have teased that the heads in Arkham and Two Face’s new hairpiece were made for later use. But who knows if that’s just wishful thinking or a genuine tease.
  5. Only 9 minifigures isn’t all that surprising. That’s been the standard number for the last two LotR sets. Rivendell was the exception since it was the first and likely had a bigger minifigure budget. There also doesn’t seem to be any reuses of minifigures from a prior set (unless they don’t go with armored Pippin), unlike Barad-Dur and The Shire, which is nice.
  6. Yeah, I’m not holding out much hope for the idea. I’m just saying it would be my personal pick for the next Marvel CMF (an idea that honestly isn’t likely to happen given no other theme has gotten more than 3 CMF series) But, in defense of an X-Men ‘97 CMF, I don’t think anyone would have expected the show to get a modular building either if it hadn’t been leaked over a year in advance. It’s also one of the few MCU shows to get renewed for a third season. The X-Men being featured in Doomsday and Secret Wars will also probably help boost viewership numbers for the show. And we already know the next MCU saga will revolve around the X-Men, meaning Marvel will be looking to push the characters. I wouldn’t rule it out completely. I also wouldn’t expect any less than half of the CMF to be taken up by the more popular characters we’ve already gotten like Wolverine, Storm, Cyclops, and Magneto. So even if we got a CMF, there’d be plenty of characters still missing.
  7. A D2C Batcave in the same style of Rivendell, would be a great way to celebrate 20 years of the theme. We just got new versions of Ivy, Riddler, Catwoman, and Mr Freeze last year. Joker, similarly, already has a version on the shelves. Bane, Killer Croc, and Penguin just need new torsos. Harley and Scarcrow would need new torsos and legs. Throw in new minifigures for Clayface, Two Face, Nightwing, and Batgirl. Maybe even new characters like Spoiler, Orphan, Hush, and Mad Hatter. Obviously purist versions of Bruce and Alfred and existing minifigures of Batman, Robin, Batgirl, and Batwing. That’d be a fantastic minifigure lineup, and I don’t think it’d be outside the realm of possibility, especially for what would essentially be DC’s Avengers Tower. I honestly doubt we could get this lucky when the state of the theme is three Batmobiles, one logo, and five different Batman minifigures. But, the again, the designers did tease the Two-Face hair mold and new heads in Arkham weren’t one-offs. It does make me wonder if there are plans for the 20th anniversary of Batman beyond what we’ve already seen, Batcave or otherwise.
  8. X-Men ‘97 based. Out of the season 1 team roster, we only got 10/16 members. And, Magneto aside, we got none of the villains. Already, we know they’re introducing at least 2 (5?) new members to the team and 5 new villains, and that’s just what we know for season 2. By the time the next CMF could come out, we’ll be on season 3. There’s so much that could be covered and Lego just isn’t even trying.
  9. Stickers in modular buildings are usually just Easter eggs, nothing more. A D2C isn’t a guarantee either.
  10. Clooney and maybe Adam West are the only live-action Batmans that haven’t killed anyone. In defense of Bale and Pattinson though, their kills would probably be classified as manslaughter versus Affleck’s, Kilmer’s, and Keaton’s which were pretty explicitly premeditated murders.
  11. It’s hilarious to think a designer tried making a Batman vehicle that wasn’t the Batmobile and immediately got shut down. Perfectly sums up the state of the theme.
  12. False. We’re getting five Batmans and one Bruce Wayne in a polybag. That’s two different characters.
  13. Can someone explain why there’s a DC logo on the boxes? 🤔 Does Lego think we’re stupid?
  14. I can already see the 2027 set lineup - Michael Keaton Batmobile - Christian Bale Batmobile - Adam West Batmobile - Val Kilmer Batmobile 0 sets for Man of Tomorrow and a UCS Batmobile as our only tie-in set for The Batman part 2.
  15. My thoughts: logo: contending with the Shadowbox and $500 Hulkbuster for the distinction of worst superheroes set of all time Pattinson mobile: build is a slight improvement over the prior one, same with the minifigure. Affleck mobile: massive downgrade. The color is arguably better but the build of the windshield and back looks so much worse. The front and sides are arguably more accurate, but they look so much worse than the much cleaner 2016 version. Same with the minifigure, it’s more accurate in terms of print but the bulky armor piece was better at capturing the character even it was less accurate. Clooney mobile: this is the dumbest Batmobile build I have ever seen. And I love it. Is it 100% accurate to the movie? No. It’s 200% accurate! Easy day one purchase.
  16. Between the lack of any leaks yesterday and the lack of any sort of tease from Lego, I’d be surprised if that rumor turned out to be true. But I think we may still see the potential sets and minifigures from gameplay demos.
  17. … you think this theme will last until 2027?
  18. If that’s true, there’s a good chance we get some leaks today. I’m very curious to see the BvS Batmobile and whether or not it’s an improvement on the (IMO already stellar) 2016 model.
  19. Buddy, we’re not even getting Robin in the “Batman and Robin” set.
  20. Use your powers for good next time!
  21. I don’t think you’re supposed to eat Lego.
  22. Not even including a Jonkler is diabolical. What happened to the “plans” for the new heads in Arkham and new hairpiece for Two Face? Are there more sets coming next summer or were the plans to never use them again?
  23. I wonder what Batmobiles we’ll get for Man of Tomorrow. 🤔
  24. Just realized we will now officially have minifigures for every live-action Batman (excluding the old movie serials that no one remembers and Gotham).
