  1. Garrrrr! I was all excited to be the first one with a troll avatar pic, and now you've gone and taken a better one, so people are going to think I copied you! Well, just for that I AM going to copy you! Everything you do! hahahaha! *skull* * Oh, and thanks for the welcome, TinyPiesRUS! *No, not really. But I am going to think about it...
  2. I'm just south of Des Moines, xwingyoda. Are you a fellow midwesterner or are you just REALLY good at the "guess where I'm from" game? *yoda* The lack of bearded vikings disappointed me, too--and now we've got two new styles :'-) And thanks for the welcome, Chuck and imperial shadows!
  3. What a great welcome! Thanks to: Starwars 4J, mescheppers (the set costs $49.99), Bonaparte, Sinner, Batbrick, Vader, Copmike, freddy_LC, Asuka, Lieutenant Colonel Thok, DNL, Wout, iamded, Captain green hair, and of course Mr. Tiber (I've lurked enough to know NOT to call Mr. Tiber just Tiber--he'll keelhaul you for such an offense). And hollisbrick, of course you're one of those great people. Unless, of course, you've gone over to the dark side (and by "dark side", I mean Megabloks)... As for themes, I'm a castle guy at heart. That all started when I was a wee lad and I got the yellow castle for Christmas one year. Now that set got a lot of use :'-) Pirates are also dear to my heart, although I could never bear to MOC the ships. I have branched out--I have most of the Star Wars sets, all of the Vikings, most of the Batman and Spiderman, and a bunch of on-sale bargains from Adventurers to Avatar. Or should that be Avatar to Adventurers? Regardless, I've picked up quite a few sets over the years; even the odd train or two. I don't have any Bioncle, though. Again, thank you for the warm reception! -Buckshot
  4. Thanks! And to answer your question, no I won't be selling any on eBay. They're mine! All MINE! (just kidding--I could only afford one. Don't think I could part with it, either ;-) Thanks for the welcome, and I appreciate you not shortening my name to BS. I get enough of that at work... Sorry I couldn't get good pics to you guys--I've learned that photoshop may not be the program to use. Hopefully, someday I'll be able to post good exclusive pics of a new set. Luckily, there are great pics of this great set on Eurobricks!
  5. ...to introduce myself to all the AFOLS of Eurobricks. I go by the name o' Buckshot. I've been a lurker here for quite some time, and only unmasked myself to share that I'd found the Dwarf Mine set at a Target recently. You can imagine my surprise...just strolling through to check for clearance items (I'd seen the Hogwarts Castle 30% off and was looking for other bargains), and when I looked up above the regular shelves I spied five of the mine sets. Well, there was no way I was leaving without getting my grubby little paws on one of those! >:-) As I said, I've lurked here for quite some time, and already know that there are a lot of great people on here who share my love of the brick. I'm glad to be joining such a great online community!
  6. Thank you for the welcome, hinckley39! Good luck with your search--the Target I found this set at only had five (four now >:-) , and they were all above the normal shelves. Thanks, Starwars4J! The beards are hard plastic, and sadly the helmet does NOT come off. Here's the helmets (sorry the pics are so small--I'm still learning :'-( ). The winged helmets are slightly different than the non-winged helmets above the eyes. I love this set; one thing that did not impress me was that the golden winged helmet was loose in the box (not bagged); almost as though it had been added as an after-thought.
  7. Hate to reply to my own post, but I noticed the troll pic worked! As for the troll, the head and legs don't move. The arms are attached with blue technic pins and rotate 360 degrees. The hands rotate 360 degrees also, and include the added feature of a square bottom. This allows the troll to hold mere humans/orcs/dwarves by their ankles! Yar! The beard pic is small/poor quality; I was trying to show you the two styles. One style has two braids in front, one in the back; the other has three braids in front, two in the back.
  8. Hello, everyone! Long-time lurker, first-time poster here. Wanted to share that I purchased this set in a Target store on Tues. evening for $49.99. That Target store is located in mid-Iowa (middle of the US). I checked two other area stores and they did not have the set available. Naturally, I was very excited to find this set so early. I'm trying to post pics; since I'm new, we'll see if that works. I haven't seen it mentioned yet, so one thing I can tell you is that there are two styles of dwarf beard.
