I sigh. "Very well, then. Would you like to hear about your great grandmother?"

I sigh. "Well, Karie, we are family. If you want to talk it out, to be afraid... I have some stuff I'd like to get off my chest too, if you;re willing to listen." I turn away as I hear the slight thumping on the door. An iguana bashes its head in repeatedly. He scurries over to the corned, seemingly dejected. Perhaps he was just a critter looking for a way out of the hall?

"I'd be willing to talk to you about it, if you'd want. Sometimes you have to let it out." I hmmm at Karie's final statement. "So your boyfriend delegated a perfectly capable hero to the role of the bookkeeper, and the organization simply does errands for the Town Watch?"

"Any reason why you left the Show Biz?" I raise an eyebrow. "What's the Syndicate, may I ask?"

"Something you'd like to get back into one day, or...?"

"So you were a singer and an actor once upon a time, huh?" I look at the empty jug. "Want me to get more?"

"I was referring to being the center of attention. You strike me as someone who likes the spotlight - nothing wrong with that, of course. Just... My "species" led me trying to be quite incognito, I suppose."

I take another sip of my drink, looking around - observing the silence. "Yes, I do. It's either dead quiet or audible from Lusoh. No middleground to be found here, it seems. Some people just have that effect. You ever been one of those people? In general, I suppose." I ask.

I shrug. "That's my deduction. Whether or not it's correct, well... I'm not nearly as judgemental anymore. Your sister did... um... get around, from what I've heard."

I shrug. "It is a bit hard not to when you have over four centuries of sins following you, you know? But I'm doing better, and you have plenty of stuff to be proud of too." "Benji? Only people with strong ties to the Wolfgang become Beast Warriors. He met Kayla. Combining his ties and his encounters, well... I doubt there are too many possibilities." I cringe.

I can't help but give a guilty chuckle. "Even after more then a dozen generations, it seems like our bloodline beats ourselves up a lot, huh?"
