>Erdacath drinks a Nostrum (-6 endurance, Tipsiness healed) >Khar downs a Mulled Wine (Tipsy!) Erdathcath Madilinas, 199 years old, Endurance: 2/33 Mead: 1/2 sips Mead: 2/2 sips Mulled Wine: 2/2 sips Mulled Wine: 1/2 sips "I've won this one!." Khar (Endgame) Endurance: 9/35 *Tipsy!* Nostrum: 2/2 sips Nostrum: 1/2 sips Nostrum: 2/2 sips Nostrum: 1/2 sips Forced into a corner and unable to defeat Khar, Erdacath simply takes another sip of a Mulled Wine. The liquid slides down her throat as Khar downs a Nostrum, at the edge of defeat but soon to be triumphant. The Mulled Wine has quite the impact on Erdacath, whittling her Endruance to zero. Her vision of the world warped form the alcohol she had consumed, she hands Khar 50 gold. QM Note: Unfortunately, at that juncture, there was no way of winning. It appears it all came down to that first Nostum you drank in Round One - had you not done that, you would've beaten Khar from stalemate. Simply throwing the idea out there to get criticism before I actually start putting more thought into it. If it came off as saying it was an upcoming thing, my apologies.
-
I really need to reshoot Masson unmasked, the Harvester is now a piece of slag in the Harvester's crematorium - yet clearly visible in his mugshot.
-
Karie didn't replace all instances of Paolo from 83, though: His avatar was intact throughout the first few pages (I checked so I could keep grasp of my sanity. ), so I really have no clue what was happening. Also, in other news, Karie is every NPC in Heroica. (Except Masson. I hope. )
-
"Thought I was Paolo of the Town Watch? Acting." The only possible way I can think about how Paolo got overwrote is if Syndicate Karie's URL somehow overwrote Paolo's.
-
QM Note: That'd be my mistake, in that case scenario - I must've forget to subrtact it there but I've been meaning to do it in all other instances. Tipsy functions like a Posion variant, essentially.

Kintobor, am I going insaner or has Karie replaced some of the avatars in your quest?

QM Note: It applies at the end of the round, just like Poisoned/Badly Poisoned/etc.

Heroica RPG - Expert Job Class Discussion
Endgame replied to LEGOman273's topic in The Heroica Archive
Although they do appear to be pioneering in modern furniture, given Ulric's choice of a chair at the end of 66. Love all of the class photos, Sandy - seeing those faces that have lingered since the beginning finally get new representation is amazing! -
QM Note: Huge apologies for the speed this quest has been moving as of late. Busy times as of late in real life, and I assure you the quest will pick up when you meet up with Solon. >Erdacath finishes a Mulled Wine (Tipsy x2) >Khar finishes a Nostrum (-6 endurance, Tipsiness cured) >Each contender gets a Mulled Wine! The first tier may be something like that in terms of layout, but that is simply a rush job I made. Differences form the fields: -Time limit (though apparently that is getting fixed?) -All bosses, higher difficulty -Various merchants to provide NPC chit-chat, as well as boss banter -Roleplaying oppurtunities via the concept of revisiting memories -The caves have an actual story to them, as will be revealed -More stage based: 4 stages (Perhaps plus one super ultra giga uber boss?) -Hidden passages. -Bosses will be added to tiers from time to time. Also, in terms of sets: I'll probably use PovRay to render my sets. For the not-tier bosses, instead of having an actual set portraying them, each boss will have their own banner, featuring a dramtic silhouette of them, their main features highlighted and glowing, etc. Tier bosses get a banner plus a set depicting them. I will be contacting QMs whenever I use their bosses - they will be shown the general battle (I will scale battles up if you enter a tier you're overleveled for!) as well as their placement on the map and any variations for allowing me to remix their character's battles.

Showdown on Memory Lane Boss Rush Obsessive compulsions ove rboss ights aside, I have been drafting a boss rush. Without spoiling the story details as for why this is going on in the first place, the concept would revolve around going into a cave and being tasked with smashing up the minerals inside: Memory Crystals. (Name still a WIP.) Memory Crystals are odd minerals, rivalling even Mythril in beauty - but also collecting the memories of whoever touches them, sometimes releasing them violently. Before they can smash the crystal and take its fragments, the heroes must first trigger the memories within, thrusting the party into remixed boss battles. Examples would include the Alpha Direwolf, Crozen Resurrected, the Caustic Wyvern, The Despair, etc. Crystals, when smashed, can be traded in for gold when you exit (whether victorious or violently) or items. The quest would appear periodically, requesting 4 to 6 heroes of level 15 or up. When chosen, they have to choose their tier: Advanced, Expert, Veteran, or Master. Advanced: The easiest tier, but a test of mettle nonetheless. Level 20 or higher is reccomended. Expert: Ups the ante and increases the challenge - the weak-hearted won't survive. The memories get even more brutal then before. Level 30 or higher reccomended. Veteran: A challenge worthy of the veterans of old - relive some of the most spectacular battles Heroica has faced. Level 40 or higher reccomended. *LOCKED: Expert Tier must be cleared before this one can be accessed.* Master: The ultimate challenge! Only the finest of heroes even stand a chance of surviving a single battle at this depth - every encounter is an onslaught. Level 50 reccomended. *LOCKED: Veteran Tier must be cleared and a monumental foe must be slain before this tier can be accessed.* Crystal size, worth, and difficulty scales upwards for every tier: This will not be an easy area. it will be a true test, forcing you to take risks and fight some of the toughest battles of Heroica remixed and made tougher. Being slain in battle banishes you back to the cave's entry, losing a third of the shards you had collected. Only one tier can be cleared at a time: when cleared, that party exits the cave victorious. The Cave: "Memory Lane" You will enter the cave with an actual time limit place don you (Approximately about 35 turns.) Clearing battles and paying off shady merhcants that appear in the foyers will be able to extend your time limit. When the clock hits zero, the party is forced off before they can no longer tell memory from reality. Blue Rooms: Crystal Chambers: Crystal chambers contain Memory Crystals, and cannot be exitted when entered - until the crystal is smashed. When activated, the party is thrust into a boss fight. The D5, D10, etc. represent depth: the higher the depth, the higher the difficulty. The higher the difficulty, the higher the rewards! The party will be provided with a map of the tier they chose so they may better strategize. Red Rooms: Foyers: These chambers contain one form of a merchant or the other. Some can be paid to reveal what lies inside crystals, others can sell you overpriced consumables, some can allow you to skip a depth entirely for a massive fee, etc. There is a Tier Boss at the end of every Tier. The toughest enemy of their territory, these fellows are tue Endgame bosses. Secret Tier Bosses can be revealed via taking certain paths, revealing a route to a harder - but tougher and more profitable - finale.

"Good *hic!* luck! They say he seems to get more and more powerful every time he comes to harass our colony... Which is daily. Relentless bastard. he seems to get even more and more tough every single day. It's been almost 3 weeks straight of his assaults... You guys better pray when it comes time to do battle with him!"

Well, the almighty Railroad Guards are usually pretty otugh. Not sure why they don't guard the bosses. With the Wolfgang's finest generals put down, though, I hope things start reaching a head soon. It'd jus tbe downright weird if we started encountering mooks that are stronger then Violetta, Donny, or Steerpike.

"Well, clearly, you didn't escape with your sanity... I only had to stop because I was full. Proggs don't get drunk. So, are you fools - err, folks - out to stop Jetorix, then?"

Exactly - so actually point it out to the poor and the rank and file. The ensuing chaos would be glorious.
-
Oh, of course - You have to eat your propoganda before you eat your bread. But I'm saying there really isn't an excuse for making a law that damns the entirety of your legion, and I hope someone points that out to the tophatted gentleman.

>Sarge sips a Mulled wine and passes it (Tipsy) >Chryst sips a Mead and passes it (As there is literally no way Chryst can survive another round... Sarge gulps down one final shot, looking towards Chryst expectantly. Nervously the crystalline Progg takes a single sip, clutching his stomach as the mead passed through his face-grid and into his lips - he was full, not intoxicated. I'm taslking about a postive effect copycat. I also think weapon stealers have their merit too.

Jinxing enemies, mimicking enemies, enemies that steal consumables, etc.
