  1. The admin turns to face the peon, a smile of recognition spreading across his face. "Why hello there, peon I have most definitely not met before! I'm trying to get some help from some heroes. What are you doing here, completely anonymous employee? Expecting a rendezvous with someone? Perhaps with someone purple?" Octavyn was clearly having far too much fun with this.
  2. I've played Ace Attorney: Investigations and the first Ace Attorney. Though for some reason, I really doubt that Karie would sue Masson, he definitely would appear in court of the lawsuit was filed. You better take me on that spirituality one. Sure, I'd be willing to help out - shoot me a PM.
  3. Not all characters have to originate from Eubric. perhaps from a neighboring town in Uland?
  4. Please tell me they do not operate on Ace Attorney logic.
  5. (*Use, not "sue". The American judicial system is not ridiculous to the point where you can sue a name on its own, right? ...Right? ) If you have anything devious to say, please, do!
  6. I'm still waiting for someplace to sue the name of Allen Lias.
  7. Octavyn is once again within earshot of Gut's comment, but surprisingly, he doesn't react with malice - anything but, in fact. He simply gives a knowing chuckle and a shrug, looking towards Guts. "Hey, we're just a subsidiary. When the big brother group hands you a something to do and a day to do it on, you don't argue with them, y'know?"
  8. Octavyn finally makes his way out of the door... Only to come back in on nightfall. "Urgh, scheduling is most definitely not my strong suit." Pulling out a quill and practically slashing over the old date on the quest slip, octavyn writes something new on the quest board: Sign-ups have been postponed to November 1st. -Syndicate Admin Octavyn (All complaints can be directed towards my sole superior. (...On second thought, don't.))
  9. Once again, I'm really sorry, Cryos. The differenc ebetween a Level 1 battle and a Level 20 battle could be anywhere from 1000 HP plus... Also, apologies to 81ers: Real life has stalled me pretty badly. Also, more apologies to potential 86ers: I'll probably be pushing the quest back further. Real life has been a bit of a rush as of late, and i haven't been able to get nearly as much prepared as I would like to. I could also give a chance for other quests to let up to potentially close the level gup, so maybe it is for the best. ...Wow, that was a lot of "sorry"s. Wait a second, how did you break down Hall Activity Rates to a number?
  10. Nightmares!

And here I thought Masson was going to show up and talk to everyone!

  11. "In that case, then you simply have to write your name boldly on the quest slip. Like so!" Octavyn grabs an ink quill, scrawling a sentence on his own quest pitch: "Octavyn signs up for Quest #86: Gaiden" "Whenever you want to come along for a quest, you simply have to phrase it like that - otherwise, a lot of the quest givers and whatnot won't consider it an official signature."
  12. Octavyn seems to run several possibilities in his head before devising a stock phrase he could use. "You can sign-up for any quest that is posted. ...At least, I think that is what you're asking, right? Nod is yes, head shake is no." A warm welcome to the world of Heroica, Cryos (and Baradock!)
  13. The gold-clan Syndicate admin seems to take note of all of the glances and whispers, still not having made his way out of the hall, sidetracked by Hoke. He manages to pick out a few words and phrases from some conversations, mention of Psuedos among them. "Hmph. I told Masson this little snag would arise eventually..."
  14. "They didn't break into the Royal Pond... Simply harassed the guards there for about three hours before I got them to go away. Now, kids, get back to your rooms. You're breaking curfew, not to mention your father's wishes." The five multi-colored larvae begin to shuffle away dejectedly. "Okay..." "Fine, fine..." "Killjoy..." "See you later, lady and gentlemen..." "And stuff..." With the five children dismissed, Fydelle leads them into a the barracks. Progg beds were obviously quite different from humans' they large carpets, carefully woven with fine fabric. Large pillows, about the size of half a human, sits at the bottom and top of the carpet. These set-ups line the barracks, more then two dozen of the Progg beds in the barracks. Besides the five heroes and Fydelle, the room was vacant: this was the auxiliary barracks, apparently. Fydelle shambles over to a bed in the corner, placing his head on one pillow and lazily lowering his tail onto the other. "I'll be taking a quick rest as well, I suppose. You five have a lot of work cut out for you tomorrow: So, get those bags out from under your eyes and rest up for a few hours. I get the bad feeling this isn't going to be an easy mission..." The party all take a mat, trying to make best use out of the over sized Progg beds as they can. Eventually, after minutes of tossing, turning, and trying to work the Progg-sized furniture to their benefit, the party drifts into a slumber... QM Note: You will all be receiving PMs within the next few hours. Until then, feel free to roleplay falling asleep, talking to your other heroes, etc.
  15. "An area that is strictly prohibitted to outsiders. Regent Solon is just that: A regent, a stand in ruler. The only Progg left of royal blood, child of Aquos, the blind prince... is currently 6 months old. When he comes of age, he will lead the Proggs; until then, Solon is the sole ruler of the colony. Aquos Jr. spends his days residing in the Royal Pond. Of course, he must be protected - so very limitted access is granted to the pond. Which is why you five are not allowed in there!" "Aww, you're no fun, Mr. Fydelle..." "And stuff..."
  16. Heroica (and Pokemon) actually has plenty of names for the low-ranking minions: minions, goons, thugs, peons, runts, troppers... the list goes on. And just for fun: Masson's Team: Octavyn's Team:
  17. Rank names, yep, Pokemon Colleseum. The Syndicate itself? Hell if I know. I don't know where 90% of my ideas come from. Also, Masson would totally use a Deoxys as his main.
  18. "No." "Yes." "Like what, Fydelle?" "How about that tim you kids picked the lock to The Deeps and forced the blacksmith to make a second one? Or that time you begged to get into Royal Pond despite Aquos Jr. and his mother not inviting you? I'd call that trouble." What does Fydell mean by the Royal Pond...?
  19. Isaw Masson's hair floating around in there, but I figured it was just some other NPC.
  20. Octavyn? Serious? Perish the thought!
  21. Octavyn spins on his heel, addressing Hoke. "Ah, hello! I am Octavyn, at your service. Length? I don't imagine it'll be a long assignment at all. Perhaps a single night (three to four weeks max) tops?"
  22. Fydelle turns to Jeaux. "That is correct - Solon is better at contorlling the entire Progg population than his own children. I'm still not quite sure how they got to the topside... But, likely, they have the cutness factor on their side. The three pupae rush to the ranger's side, scampering towards him like dogs waiting to be pet. "Mr. Em!!" "Hello to everyone else, too!." "So daddy chose you as a hero!" "So what happened to Mr. Purple Guy? Did you defeat him?" "And stuff?"
  23. A man clad in a gold mask strolls into the hall, whistling a merry tune. In contrast to his jovial demeanor is the massive corseque slung across his shoulder, glistening. He shuffles over to the questboard, taking a look at the notice he had pinned up. "Huh. Guess I'll push the sign-ups back a little bit... Maybe get one or two more heroes." With that, Octavyn exits the hall the same way he entered - whistling. The sign-ups for Gaiden have been pushed back to October 28th!
  24. "If that is the end of the briefing, allow me to take you to your lodgings." Fydelle leads the party out of the office and down a few corridors... and Em soon catches sight of five familiar faces. Blurs of color zoom around int e room, playing. "Ugh. Solon's kids are defying curfew."
  25. "Yes, he does. He not only leads them, but organizes them as well. Apparently he is a former dragoon - after his dragon was shot down by arabalesters, he personally went over hacked off the opposing general's head - or so he says. Given the fact that he has managed to slaughter both of the diplomats that we sent, as well as their bodyguards, I'm willing to believe it, unfortunately. No matter how much of a war hero is - he's a bigot nonetheless, and has to be dealt with accordingly." "Are you people ready to take a quick rest before you set out?"
