It's also worth noting that slot machines sometimes have stickers that read "winnings void at owner's discretion" and such, so it really isn't all that bad. Besides, even without the gamble attached, 1300 isn't a terrible price for such an artifact... although I'd preferif it was mythril and not a Lucky Die.

Why? Am I missing an occurance that has happened recently.
-
I set that. (It was set to sleep mode the entire time, although bizzarely, power down was an option! I set it to "never".) However, when you power off the laptop, there isn't a guaruntee it goes back on - same with putting it to sleep. I get the bad feeling it has to do with the physical cables that connect to the power button/control when the laptop goes into sleep mode. I have sleep mode disabled completely, but the powering on/off thing is a big issue too. :tounge:

While we're on it, one other thing I've been meaning to mention for a while now: I propose Druids should only revive KOed allies with 1 HP during Roots of Life instead of the amount of HP the rest of the party is restored.
-
I've been pushing for that one sice 48. In all seriousness, I would agree to that.
-
Are you using chrome? The only time I have that issue is when using chrome... Mozilla doesn't have that issue.
-
I played Majora's mask at the same age. I would leave the room whenever I had to put on a mask due to the "Link scremaing in pain" animation.
-
I expect the final boss to drop a trickster's mask, Flipz.
-
If you keep using her mechanics and OST, Flipz, you'll have to introduce Aristotle Means to balance it out before long.
-
I actually called that old rig "Old reliable", as cliche as it may be. And then I booted it up and there were rainbow-y lines going down the HP screen, followed by a BSOD. (This is after 6 months of random shutdowns.)
-
Look, when I first joined Heroica, I was using an HP from 2006. I hosted 36 on that thing. I'm used to using less than optimal computers.
-
By god, you're right! I've been in this trash can the entire time without even realizing it!
-
Huh, I looked through that menu, I can't believe I didn't catch that. Now I can only hope that the actual laptop powers on if/when I need to shut it off... That's the main problem. I've kinda resigned to leaving it on for the time being.
-
Palathadric, if programming/configuring was that simple, I'd have a Heroica video game out by now. (I've opened it up twice now, so I'm going to stop mutilating my poor, expired warranty.)
-
Also: Got the laptop working again. Kinda? It shuts down whenever the lid is closed, but I can work with that... So ER should be going up Aug. 2nd as scheduled.
-
Congrats, WBD.
-
I abuse the duplicate tool to hell and back.
-
My computer just wet the bed. May have to postpone ER, but can still do smaller, picture-less posts with my WiiU.

I would encourage you to keep your objective in mind, but if you see a conceivable path you'd rather take... Go for it. I can think of an area on the fly.

Has anyone really tried a 3rd Option in any of the Lifespark quests, really? All examples cited are at the very end against the big bad, and even then they weren't really choices... Just mocking them, and the big bad responding in kind. (In fact, it kinda is a good sign, because it proves Heroica is capable of getting under his skin.). Nobody has tried any choice beyond the choice the quest itself offers - if you want to take a third route, try! The largest consequence I've had for doing such a thing has been what, 1 ether? If you want to try something: try.

Here's my take on it, for every class in heroica (gulp...) -Barbarian: Makes Battle Frenzy do WP x2 +Level -Cleric: Makes rolls of Miss and Damage (Lesser heal and No heal repsecitvely) Heal and Lesser Heal. -Knights: Makes them immune to SP reduction. -Mages: Exists. -Rangers: Gives Animal Talk a Diplomatic bonus. -Rogues: Earns five gold per succesful hit. -Assassins: Exists. -Battle Mage: Makes Extra Critical Hits have 4x WP instead of 3x WP. -Beserker: Encourages themsleves on Critical Hits. -Black Knight: Immunity to stunned. -Druid: Heals themselves on healing rolls directed towards someone else. -Evoker: Summons do double damage. -Hunter: Favoring is a 4x multiplier instead of 3x. -Mystic Knight: Minimum number of hits on Spellblade Spin would be 6. -Paladin: Special Guard's odds are boosted to 100%. -Raider: +10 power. -Sage: Exists. -Shaman: Exists. -Sorceror: Exists. -Warden: +10 Max HP. -Witch: Exists. -Alchemist: Exists. -Artisan: 33% discount (rounded down) on everything in the Marketplace. -Beast Warrior: Can counter on Damage rolls in both forms. -Cannoneer: 50% discount on all bombs for sale. -Chi Monk: +4 HP, Power, and SP. -Dragoon: Enables track down and Animal Talk. -Harlot: Gives 3 gold per enemy in a battle. -Infiltrator: Strikes all enemies in the battle. -Marauder: Exists. -Minstrel: Exists. -Necromancer: Allows Undead enemies to attack Demon and Dark enemies. -Regulator: +5 HP, +5 SP -Scholar: +10 Ether -Skirmisher: Phalanx lasts four rounds. -Winged Warrior: Gives the ability of Track Down. -Archmage: Exists. -Barbarian Chieftain: +13 Power -Guardian Knight: +8 SP. -High Cleric: Permanently transcended. -Rogue Thief: Raises the odds of Special Dodge to 2/3. -Sylvan ranger hits 4-24 times on an Ambush. -Mime: +15 HP. -Paragon: +15 Power. -Prophet: + 15 Ether. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- A lot of it is rough, but it's just a few guesses/suggestions.

You had your shot, admittedly one I didn't clarify.

You're right on pretty much all counts, although I still think that the Sand Queen would be frightened of him. After all, visions are her thing, and The Regret shut her down. Imagine if Jonah took away Drucilla's ability to use ether - I'd think Drucilla would be terrified of Marilith/Jonah until the day she died. The heroes have had past experience with him, sure, but you're right that it doesn't justify fear. I don't expect him to be feared wherever he goes - some heroes choose to fear him, some decide to rebel. I like both reactions - they diversify him a bit. You can try trouncing him, just like you could've tried trouncing Seerus! I'm not afraid of letting things get derailed for a bit - especially after 70, I'm kind of glad if and when Heroes decide to go off my rails. It makes it a more organic experiment. You folks have done it before without even realizing it. For example: -In 79, the Oculoid Chief was never meant to be fought hand to hand, but you folks goaded him into it. -In 86, the drug dealers would've never even give you an offer to skip that battle, but once again you goaded it. -In 81, you could've attacked the Oculoid Mob escorting you to Echoes Tower for some sweet loot if you manged to grab it and flee. Iris was also permanently killable as well. -In 99, the Bookmark was never meant to leave Nevermore. -If Seerus was attacke,d there was potential for removing one of his tentacles if a hero got a lucky shot in. He would've fled after. -The Regret would give the heroes attacking him the same warning, and if they still chose to fight, I would've worked something out via PM. It's something I wish I could go back and change - make it more apparent that the heroes were having impact. Scattered brickwork, a dislodged railing or two (unintentional, I know), a bar that needs constant sweeping, and the general RPing atmosphere gives me more of an image of a grittier place. Plus, it's in Eubric, which i've always imagined as a filthy place (This is in no way a critique of your building skills, Sandy - It's my interpretation of art, because to be honest, I think your Hall build is art - I've always loved it. ) Or maybe he's using availible resources.

"Perhaps not in the form of hexing." The Regret states cryptically. "But I am no foreigner to control." "Whether you're referring to the oculoids or you Heroicans as toys, well, you're right on both counts." And with that, The Regret snuffs out the flame on his fist, and dissapears in a black mist...
