The northern lights hang over head, mystic blankets of light looming over the forzen wasteland. In the very center of the island stands a massive black blemish on the horizon... The heroes feel a chill run up their spine as they crane their heads to look at what the massive thing was. The Citadel. "Holy hell..." "You're gonna be inilftrating that place?!" "So... This is *wheeze* where The Regret lives?" "It's... It's the size of a mountain..." The Shadow Citadel casts an ominous shadow on all surrounding waters, the party shrinking back in the darkness...

The party barrages the Ameobboss with everything they got, attack after attack landing on the head. It's protective blue veil nearly bursts, a horrid ooze dripping out of it's eye guards. All of its eyes write and wriggle, focusing on all directions, trying to find some way to exterminate the heroes... But finding no way to retaliate, the Ameoboss resigns to its fate. A fiery cannonball from Erdathcath is what puts an end to the horrid sea monster. It grips onto the deck, water dripping form its broken jaw, rasping. "ARROOO-OOOOO--OOOoooOoOooOuuUrrrrggghghhhhhHhh..." <I... Failed... Nothing... Left... To... Lose...> With that, the Ameoboss rears backwards and draws itself to its full height with grea teffort - planning to dive into the ship and submerge it underwater with his own weight as a last ditch attempt. Just as it seemed the Ameoboss was about to slam into the ship, all of the Excelsus' starboard cannons blast off in unison. Eight cannonballs sail through the air and hit the sea monster squarely in the chest. The Ameoboss gives off one last horrid roar as its body began dissolving into water. The ship rocks one last time as the sea monster collapses into one last wave, dead at last. "...We won." The Battle is Victorious! All heroes gain the respective amount of EXP. Hopefully we weren't too slow getting that cannonfire off, or that thing might've downed us at the last second. Heroes, it's become clear to us that whatever demons you're facing here, they're tough.   16. ...This is the eleventh quest I've ever hosted, and I think that, right there, might be my most horrible error yet. I cannot go back and change it, but I will be sure to run it correctly in future battles. First battle always has more erors due to learning the intricacies of the party, but I didn't think it'd be this bad. They'll switch hats and continue on their merry way.

  19. QM Note: It's a status that works if you don't have AoE attackers. Normally you can use it to buy time and heal up, but in a battle with a timer... "Uh, miss Erdathcath, I got hit... even if we weaken it, I couldn't take another blow from it..."

The words are by no means malicious, by they come out awkwardly, as if the Paragon was having difficulty choosing words.

The Ameoboss recieves another arrow to the eye, courtesy of Em. His rage continues to mount as he wakes from his slumber, his claws thrashing through the deck and heginning to tear the boat to pieces. He begins to ram into the boat haphazardly, causing it to rock back and forth, the heroes struggling to keep balance. The heroes maintain their footing, and proceed to whittle down the rest of the Ameoboss. Poison claims his two arms, the water dribbling off and snapping. The claws become shattered, icy stumps. The Ameoboss, in a last ditch effort, digs his claws into the Excelsus and attempts to tip it... Only to fall asleep due to Baaffy. "We've almost *wheeze* got him!" "AAAAaaaaarrrgggghhhhZZZzzZZzzzz..." Ameoboss, Level 99 Beast *Fast Asleep! 6 rounds remaining* HP: 531/850 Immune to Blindness and Sealing! Specials: Hydro Cannon: The Ameoboss opens its maw and sprays a massive jet of water at the party. The hero who rolled Special Damage, as well as the heroes above and below them in the battle order, take 70 damage each. Acid Rain: The Ameoboss spews out a poison into the sky, causing it to rain on the heroes. All heroes have a 1/2 chance of recieving the Poison 10 effect. Specials alternate. Passive Specials: Right Between The Eyes: Well shot arrows sail into the Ameoboss's many eyes. The Ameoboss takes double damage from bows. Rage: For every single time the Ameoboss is hit, all other segments of his body gain 1 level.
