  1. Not trying to sound like a smart a$$ but if it's not working, it's not built right. Did you do the "checks" along the build? Look through the thread that anyUser posted and see if anything looks similar.
  2. Do you know that for a fact or is that your opinion? In a truck forum I used to participate in, representatives from the factory would drop in from time to time. I suspect many companies do this. Just because someone doesn't post, does not mean they don't read. Really, if you think about it, most companies want to know what consumers are thinking about, going so far as to hire firms to poll them with surveys. A forum lets them do that for free, outside of paying someone to collect and process the data. Maybe LEGO doesn't ever read this forum, but if they don't, they aren't as business savvy as they should be.
  3. The obvious answer to your question is YES, it is needed! LEGO isn't listening to any of the other threads. LEGO can design cranes, bulldozers, trucks, etc., that look like those items but their cars only vaguely resemble the cars they are supposed to be. LEGO is obviously making money off cars, but that won't stop us from complaining about them abandoning those of us who desire construction machinery.
  4. There is a Pybricks program out there for using an xbox controller and a LEGO controller, but I can't get them to load. I can get the Pybrick program for the hubs to load, but when I try to load the Upper and Lower programs to control the crane, no luck. https://pybricks.com/project/technic-42146-powered-up-remote/
  5. Given some of the comments about their gears, that may not be a good thing!
  6. Regardless, it sucks that there are far more car fanciers out there than there are construction equipment aficionados. Owning a Lambo is cool,. but can it really compare to owning a backhoe? Not to me!
  7. Another year with nothing of interest. This sucks LEGO!
  8. "There's nothing inherently wrong with cars....but they also represent just one small slice of what technic can should be."
  9. Oh.... more cars!! I'm excited - no wait, it was just gas. Where's the JCB220X????
  10. Heck yeah, a 3 million piece life size I could put in my back yard! Motorized ofcourse!
  11. They need to do something and quickly. After last year's rather dismal offerings, I'm going through some serious Technic withdraws. Been flying drones to take up some of my spare time, but I need something for when weather prevents that. Heck, I'd be happy if they just re-introduced some of the old sets.
  12. As I see it, here is the flow in 1st gear:
  13. This won't win me any friends, but this 'thing' is pitiful. If you want the yellow parts, that's OK, but to call this collection of random LEGO pieces a model of a Corvette is a travesty. Without the stick-on symbol on the nose, I couldn't have guessed what it was supposed to be, and I doubt many others would be able to either. Pitiful, just pitiful.
  14. Just like with metal parts, you can use lubricant to minimize the friction, as long as it's a lube that plays well with plastic. I have used a silicone grease that is allegedly plastic-friendly, and it can make a big difference, plus it reduces noise as well.
  15. It took 3 browser windows and 15 minutes to get my train station order OK'd by LEGO. Oh well.
  16. Agreed!!! Is there any estimate on when it will become available? Definitely on my 'must have' list!
  17. Cars, IMHO, should be in a completely separate category. Technic is all encompassing, but cars, by their very nature, attract people from outside the normal Technic sphere. I would not be surprised to find people whose only LEGO sets are cars, either singularly or plural.

  20. The best fix has been given to you. Many have reported issues with silicone oil. These are plastic pieces, not steel gun parts.
