It's a damn shame this coincides with Bricklink closing operations in 35 countries by the end of January – it always feels good to support the creator via directly pre-ordering the set, but oh well Legitimately, this is the best treat the LEGO Imperials have gotten in 21st century. This build is out of this world cool, preserving playability & combining it with some outstanding advanced building techniques is what LEGO sailing ships should all be about in the era post Barracuda Bay – and this is a prime example of the ongoing evolution. The swappable stickers for the flags & nameplate is just amazing to have as well Can't wait to pay double-triple the price on local secondary markets just cos TLG couldn't care less these days – but will absolutely be getting it regardless, Fortuna/Minerva is a definitive must have

The hat is small, but is put on the wrong character, I guess it'd look fine on Sloth as he was the one wearing it in the movie. -

Bricksie has done another nice close up comparison of 10365 & 21322 Barracuda -

Titanic is also a crazy good entry from him, he truly has a unique feel on how to make some fine angles, sloping & shaping overall If anything, I hope TLG keeps him assigned to PotC ships moving forward, the techniques are only gonna get better & in the case of the Flying Dutchman's front section crazy angle work will come in handy big time -

I second pretty much every word I've also seen someone post a comparison pic featuring the 10365 BP & QAR earlier – quite frankly, an almost complete absence of a defined forecastle does 4195 no favours, not to mention a non-existent upper deck. We truly are spoiled by the revolutionary design of 21322 Barracuda The part I'm the most happy about is indeed how accurately 10365 manages to recreate the silhouette of the Black Pearl while staying completely within your "bigger playset" type of scale (it's only a section longer than 2020 Barracuda & is pretty much identical in its hull length to the 10210 Imperial Flagship). You can easily mod in the ornamentation of various kinds, can add all the skylights, bells & whatever other whistles – but getting the hull shape, the silhouette right & make it as sleek & seamless as possible is no ordinary task, which Mike Psiaki's team has totally knocked outta park here -

Well, I guess TLG just received the answer to the "is that fanbase still around?" question -

Literally only needed to make the readily available seagull mold in Sand Green or Light Bluish Grey & would've been perfect, but oh well -

An amazing 10365 review by Jonas Heyer on Zusammengebaut provides some incredibly artistic photos & size comparisons with the OG BSB, its 2020 remake, Skull's Eye Schooner, Red Beard Runner, Cross Bone Clipper & 2010 Imperial Flagship -

I've seen reports about 10365 going out of stock in local stores of Australia & New Zealand, so I guess my words about the current pricing of the set being a hindrance for it to become a hit can be scratched entirely It's good for the theme, ofc, but oh boy – if they do plan on releasing the Flying Dutchman next, get ready for that $500 price tag. Meanwhile, @huguberhart has posted Captain Redbeard’s Pirate Ship with hull extension from Black Pearl on Reddit – looks (and sounds, lol) absolutely brilliant -

Fun fact: both 10365 & 10305 were designed by Mike Psiaki So perhaps there is a lil more to that pattern
