  1. I never saw the sets advertised in the catalogue - there was a teaser image in the July-December 2014 catalogue, but that's all.
  2. If you already have Boromir, Pippin and Legolas, I would say to go for the Lonely Mountain, as the main advantage of Moria is to complete the Fellowship. The Smaug figure will certainly impress, plus all of those sand green bricks Oh, and Bag End is awesome!
  3. I found this as well:
  4. It was really hard to vote on this one; all were such excellent creations.
  5. The photos seem to be missing from this review - any chance of this being fixed?
  6. You do? LotR sets as well? I haven't seen any BofA sets in local stores at all; I had to order the three smaller sets online with store pickup. Strangely, Barrel escape is the only Hobbit set I am missing, along with the largest set from each wave.
  7. Benny's Spaceship is in the Australia/New Zealand catalogue, but there is no sign of any The Hobbit or The Lord of the Rings sets. This means that the only sign of the Battle of the Five Armies sets was the one-page picture of Bard with promises of 'coming in October' in the 2013 July-December catalogue.
  8. Great review, and amazing set. Make sure you post a picture of your custom Eowyn, I'd really like to see it.
  9. Wow, I won one of my top picks (GotG minifigures), and was also lucky enough to be chosen for the calendar day. Thanks CopMike!
  10. If the two-movie thing hadn't messed up the sets, then Barrel Escape would have been in that wave and no need for Bilbo to be included in that set. That was really the only reason I could think of, as well. If you go to the forum index, there should be a start new topic button. Or you can just go to this page: http://www.eurobrick...o=new_post&f=10
  11. IMO Alfrid should have been included in Lake-town Chase set, perhaps instead of Bilbo who isn't terribly relevant to that scene.
  12. Interesting about the Lake town set - I assumed it was based on the Desolation of Smaug, where Legolas and Tariel were fighting Bolg's Orcs and Bard and Bain were running around with the Black Arrow.
  13. Wow, this raffle is much bigger than I had originally thought. I only expected for there to be one minifigure given out per day, so 24 minifigs in total. Seven sets of four to five minifigures a day is absolutely phenomenal. Thanks CopMike!
  14. Category A: #3 #4 Category B: #3 #5 Category C: #1 #4 There were so many great entries, it was very hard to pick.
  15. Thanks for clarifying. The Brickapedia page says that they can 'connect', but from pictures of the set it looks like they are both standalone structures.
  16. Does anybody know if the Attack on Lake-Town set combines with Lake-Town Chase like it was rumoured to?
  17. It's easy... just go to eurobricks.com/sieg/cal in your phone's web browser. Then bookmark it or something.
  18. I've been waiting for them to show up in local Australian stores so I can snag them on a 20% sale, but so far none have surfaced except online. I'm beginning to wonder if they will arrive in Australian stores at all.
  19. Very nice techniques! I especially like how you've used a cape for the sail of a ship.
  20. Wow, that looks great. I did think about doing a micro build of that set, but I decided that An Unexpected Gathering would be a bit easier to build. Great job!
  21. I don't think so. That review has already started. Most likely it will be alongside the Avengers Helicarrier and the National History Museum in the next review: https://ideas.lego.com/discover#search/f:state=Achieved%20Support/s:most_recent&scroll=452.7273
  22. I agree 100%. When I first heard about a Galadriel minifigure, I was looking forward to seeing the design from the LEGO LotR and Hobbit games, so I was kind of disappointed when I saw that they decided to use the skirt piece. Still, it is an absolutely awesome minifigure, and I'm sure that I will appreciate it better when I actually have the minifig.
  23. There's actually a bear fig in the LEGO City Forest Police sets that would be okay, though it would be better if it was recoloured black. Unfortunately, it only appears in two of the larger sets: 4440 Forest Police Station and 4438 Robbers' Hideout. Brotherhood workshop used it in their video .
  24. This set looks amazing. I love the custom figs, and the ruins just look absolutely superb. I especially like the modular system.
  25. I couldn't think of much else I wanted for Christmas but LEGO sets, so I had to think of a set that I really want to get and would look okay in micro scale. I eventually settled on 79003 An Unexpected Gathering from The Hobbit line. I was planning to actually build it, but I didn't have enough green slopes so I decided to just use LDD. It's my first proper model created in a digital tool, and my first actual micro-build.
