    Do you realize all but one of the entries you voted in the main category were digital? This can be solved by adding a size or part count limit, and most digital entries didn't have that much pieces. I think if you give a prize to a digital entry the builer will have more bricks to start building physically, but physial builders already have enough brick to build MOC so they are the one more likely to display prizes Do you also think video games, computer programs and cartoon makers don't need money for their work. It is okey to not like digital MOCs, but some of what you said just doesn't make sence to me

    I see some talk about banning digital entries and think definitely not! We need to keep them so people who don't have enough brick and can't afford them can also enter. If I build my MOC IRL then it would has been way smaller and less detailed as I don't have much bricks, also some bricks are quite rare or don't come in the correct color. And what about custom prints which I nedded to for my MOC to look like a real set?

    I would like to thank everyone who voted for my entry. And I hope everyone who entered had fun building even if they didn't win. Honestly I didn't expect to win 1st place and I really only entered to have an excuse to build something new and different from my other MOCs.

    Hello, after seeing GabKemo's vote I think there should be a rule that you can only vote for one of the builder's entries, if you want to vote for that person vote for their best entry and not all of their entries. Otherwise people with more entries will have an unfair advantage. Someone who has five lower effort entries will have more votes then the person with a one high effort entry I don't think thats fair

    Thanks I also think the separation made it look way better. The prison was fun to make and that is actually Ironhook not Redbeard they just used the same face print on his (but with Lego's inconcistency with name back then it could have been just Redbeard under a different name)

    Thanks, I wanted to make it look as official as possible. Thanks.The reason I made this set was becase I didn't think anyone would make any islander sets for the contest, but there are a lot more islander entries now. The only reason I used the original sails was becase they were already in mecabricks, if mecabrick didn't have them i would have had to make them brickbuilt. Also I think another thing that sets me apart are my custom prints for minifigs.

    Thanks, updating the build was fun. I do think there are other entries that are as good as mine and this isn't the best possible version of the set, but I don't think I have time for more updates. Looking forward to the fan vote!

    Thanks, I fixed the error on the box art i didn't notice it earlier. Lego seems to like to add more female minifigs in sets these days just look at 10320 and 10305. So i did the same here. Thanks for your support, The minifigs were fun to make am glad you like them

    lego used the exact same bridge design in 10236 so i see no problem in them using it again.

    Thanks, I kept Ironhooks beard red because I like the ideathat he is redbeard's brother The drum without the print will boring and plain so I kept the pattern, and with the statue I wanted to do a more modern and unique take on it. The cage was there in the original set ad I actually missed it in my 1st version, I agree it dose look cool. Thanks, looking forward to see your take on this set

    Thanks, I wanted the trees to match the ones in eldorado fortress so I won't add coconuts. I will see if some diffrent colors will look good or not. Thank you, I actually designed the prints first. Thanks, but I don't think I will put it on Rebrickable as some of the parts don't currently exist in the right colors.

    UPDATE 2 I chaged the rock colors to LBG ad top and DBG at bottom, Swaped black to dark brown, added somee flower and small trees, removed top ladder, changed entrance to cave and added tresure in it and chaged the roofs to use the newer palm leaves. (added images in the entry)

    Thanks. I might try to add some treasure in the small cave. I did play a bit with a collapsing bridge, but couldn't make it look good. with the trees I tried to match it with the forest hideout remake and i didn't like how brown looked like next to red and gray. I will try to do something to hide the gaps, but tiles dont fit under all of them. Thanks, I used the palms that match the new eldorado fortress. I don't also don't get why most entries use the barracuda bay style. I feel that having the set as ruins whold make it a totally different set and not a remake.

    Thats a fire ladder i dont think it will look right and minifigures cant hold it so im gonna stick with the smaller one. But thanks for the suggestion anyway

    Thanks for the tips. 1. The islands were connected in my first version, but the others said it would be better if I separate them. 2. I didn't even think about that, will definitely fix that. 3. I might try to make it less plain but don't know how yet. 4. I wanted to match with 10320 Eldorado Fortress and it uses the old leaves. 5. The original set also had a mix of black and brown trees, and I wanted to keep that. 6. What long ladder are you talking about I don't know that part. whats the number? 7. I might try that and see if it looks good. 8. I wated to use that part at first, but though it looked too long. 9. That was meant to represent the small tree that was printed on the original baseplate.

    UPDATE Since everybody asked for it I seperated the island and i think it looks way better now. I also added an extra tree, rock and drum on the right side and a cage in the statue which I forgot to add from the original set. (added images in the entry)

    Thanks for the suggestions. I might try to add some. the bridge was not that hard i just copied the one in ewok village. the reason the tower dosen't have red is becase the original set didn't Thanks, I think I will seperate the island. Thank you. The sails are not really custom they are the same as the original i just tweaked the shape a bit. Don't give up most of the fun is in the building and not the winning anyways!

    For this contest I wanted to make something unique, LEGO already reintroduced Pirates with 21322 and now Imperial Guards with 10320 so we needed a 3rd faction. The Islanders, and what better set to remake than 6278/6292 Enchanted Island. This set has 1398 parts 8 minifigures (7 of them have new exclusive prints). I tried to keep as much of the original while using new parts and techniques.   (my first version)

    Apparently the judges though it had low technical abilityand aesthetics. Thanks for your encouragement. I don't know if i will build a bigger version anytime soon but maybe I will give it a try in the future.
