Just an update we are planning on playing another game in just a week. Several people from the first game and two more guys are joining in. We will even see the appearance if the dreaded ork fleet hit the waves . I am currently working on another imperial ship to join my fleet. but I alas have limited building skills since I am more of a collector but its coming along. The ship should be as big as the Caribbean clipper. I will post pics and try to workout a play by play account if it doesn't get to crazy.

My Davy Jones is pretty good, the plastic seems to be the same as his non clawed hand. not all rubbery like the sword and beard/hair of black beard.

I have had amazing dreams of lego. Normally just playing with some of my favorite minifigs. Though I had a nightmare once of my girlfriend tossing all of my lego out with the trash

Does anybody else like Motorcycles around here?
legomonk replied to Captain Green Hair's topic in Community
Me too! I am painting my fenders this next week checkered and doing a checkered stripe down the center of my bike. I am so excited but its still in the low 30s here in idaho with about 2 inches of snow on the ground I want to ride up to Seattle this summer with some friends. It will be the longest trip on my bike I have ever taken. -
I count anything in a bag really promo or give away sets included.

Yeah keeping them sealed is the hard part some days. Some of those set are a really fun build and if it wasn't for my collection I would have opened them a while ago.

You play on a rather large surface so we played on the floor of the basement player area at our local game store. you have ships with a set amount of crew and gun/cannon depending on size of the ship. Plot courses for your ships and move them along courses declaring firing actions when you come close and rolling dice to make the attacks. Its a pretty simple game once you understand the core. Thank you sir!

this is a pic of my collection sorry for the bad picture but my girl friend left the camera at the in her parents house.

Its pretty fun, we played the advanced rules and it was a long game. We plan on doing it again soon. we thought about adding some RPG style play but the game is fun with out it and you can get the rules for free if you google search them. I dont have a pic of it sorry. the ship is close to a BRB but not as great. The figs are CRAP though. do believe it is and enlighten brand knockoff.

Doctor Who, Torchwood, Sarah Jane Adventures...
legomonk replied to The Kid's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I am sure am looking like a goon with this post but... My girlfriend is a wicked big Doctor Who fan. I have had to watch it for a bit since she is re-watching a bunch, and I have to say the 10th doctor is the best. He is sarcastic and witty. they should have kept with him IMHO. -
So, I hope this is the right place to post this first off. If not I apologies in advance for my offense. Some friends and I played a game of Evil Steves Pirate Game at our local game store. We normally play Warhammer 40k but knowing my love of Lego, they agreed to try it out. We had fun, and enjoyed the break from the norm. I lost sadly I was playing the large Imperial Flagship and found that quicker smaller ships loaded down with guys can over run me. my Imperial team mate played the Caribbean clipper and another smaller skiff. the apposing team consisted of a knockoff a friend bought to play that I sorta want to rebuild in lego and a QueenAnn's Revenge and several smaller skiffs.

This is my costume Honda cx500 cafe racer. -
I play bass badly in a punk band called "A New Hope". I have played in a lot of hardcore punk and ska bands since I was a kid. I also play trumpet and trombone.

I am only sorta excited about these sets. I was never a huge comic guy. Dabbled a bit but never really liked them a ton. some of the pieces on the other hand are pretty cool. Loki's helmet is awesome looking. Very cool, and will look awesome in a fantasy style MOC. I know for sure I will be picking up the 20$ and under set for pieces plus they all seem to come with great figs. only wish I could get my hands on a Thor and Hulk with out buying one of the bigger sets. will certainly buy: 6866 Wolverine Chopper Showdown - great figs and a good price 6865 Cpm America Avenging Cycle - again a nice price plus figs 6867 Loki's Cosmic Cube Escape - awesome parts and figs looking forward to that new bow

this reminds me of the prince of Persia set 7571. Its a great take on this set if that was your inspiration.

This set is currently sitting on a shelf in my house. I never take it part. 6081 will always have a place in my heart.
