I already got this one bookmarked! Also, uh, on a more realistic note, I don't follow the series, and I probably won't see the movie, so I just kind of lump all the license together. I guess I'm saying keep the set news here, where we already are. -

I suppose they probably changed all the hairstyles because they either had the budget to realize the characters exactly as the designers had originally intended, or because they figured kids would find it boring if the characters looked the same on the big screen. I can't wait to see if they release physical versions of those styles, because that inevitably leads to different colored versions. Nya's hair looks like a retool of the cavewoman hair. -

That brick-built sculpture on page 32 makes it look like a completely different (possibly dual-molded) weapon. -

I think you are right, especially since there is a visible plastic accessory around the neck, and they do not usually stack well.- 1,421 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 17 Rumors and Discussion

Tried out my Mr. Test figure wearing a cape, epaulets, a moustache (since I don't have that collar piece I thought it was), and a tricorn hat. He can't lift his arm high enough to match that silhouette, and even halfway stresses the epaulet element greatly on the right shoulder. EDIT: Yes, I am aware the silhouette is probably a render.- 1,421 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 17 Rumors and Discussion
obsidianheart replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Well, it's not the Knight Armor, and I don't really see the top ridges on epaulets, but that only leaves Hockey Armor and Conquistador Armor, and the latter of those hasn't been used for a long, long time, so I don't really think it's either of those... I dunno.- 1,421 replies

Not gonna lie, I'm buying a Switch eventually for a certain franchise that starts with "X", but I sure do hate the new art-style for the sequel. Breath of the Wild Looks fantastic, but I have an odd relationship with Zelda games. Usually around the middle I kinda say "I'mma stop for a minute" and don't come back for 5 years (this is not hyperbole). My son is excited about Mario Odyssey, but he doesn't actually play games, he makes other people do it so he can watch. There's a new Shin Megami Tensi announced, and I know a guy who'll but one for that. I know another who preordered based solely on the merit of a promise of the fullest version of Binding of Issac. The rest of it fails to capture me, but I'm sure 3rd party announcements will begin rolling out soon.

I don't follow the show, but "Giant Ball" seems like a dumb set. Any context here? -

This got me thinking: With all the dual-molding options available now, could they do a half-opaque/half-transparent arm or leg? I mean, It wouldn't work for the Invisible Man, but it might have other applications, if it were even a possibility.- 1,421 replies

Man, I just realized if that... whoever and the older time-twin are the same guy, that means we aren't getting that fu-manchu moustache piece and that's a bummer. -

You're right, my bad! Okay, then changing my theory to the "One's old because went to past", but adding a tiny twist. The twins were lost in time during Wu's younger days, so I'm guessing one went backward and grew old, and one went forward into the future which has become the present as Wu has grown old. Convoluted backstory aside, the figures look pretty cool. -

Well, that sure explains the "Exclusive Figure" in that set with Chase in the title and the helicopter. Glad to see this, because I loved this game.- 33 replies

It's weird to me that they would make a red one and an orange one and give them different headgear. It'll probably make more sense to me when the sets come out. Like the orange guy'll be the vermilion equivalent to Cryptor or something. -
There's a lot of places that female figures show up without the waistline printing (construction, fire, police, etc.). Waistline printing, while it has been around for quite some time, has probably proliferated to differentiate female characters as a result of the complaints that there wasn't enough female representation in LEGO sets. It's kind of one of those situations where someone will be offended no matter what action you take, even if you take no action. From observation here, it appears that LEGO finds itself in that position often

"Exclusive" minifig has the same face and hair part/color as Chase McCain, but that torso's too dark for the old version of the character. Pretty sure it's him, though. He's pretty popular with my son, so we have a few around the house. *EDIT: Was gonna say I thought he was the only one in a TacVest similar to his original appearance, but the bulldozer/safe robbery cop in a hat has one, too.*
