Beautifully done!

As a fellow TIE Defender MOC'er - I salute you - and its cute (and badass) Very well designed and detailed for its size. Feel free to check mine out - always appreciate TIE Defender Enthusiasts. Check my signature or go here ---> https://www.kagegoomba.com/lego_moc.php

And yet there's a Venator MOC already out there that is fewer pieces and priced better than the one Lego has. That excuse while valid - only gets you so far.
-
Not fading - half-baked - imho. For Example The New Venator is poorly done - mismatched decal/color just to name one of a few pet peeves. If Lego would bother to study MOC's - they may actually save money and look better - starting to think greed is getting to them. Is Star Wars fading? No - getting cheap for higher prices? Yes.

I tortured myself for 2 days or so before I had the nerve to say something - we MOC'ers are utter masochists I swear lol. Persistence and stubbornness are our stock in trade - I'm sure you'll find a solution soon enough. Considering my two major MOC projects - I know all too well lol. Regardless - you have a great moc here!

Great build -great detail. Only one nagging thought - maybe I'm seeing things - seems the neck between the cockpit section and the turrets/pod section seems squished - neck should be a tad longer shoudln't it? Other than that - this is very nicely detailed.

Anyone else slightly disappointed in the new Venator?
Kage Goomba replied to LordsofMedieval's topic in LEGO Star Wars
It's a UCS Model - they where never meant to be play models. It's meant to look pretty and sit on your shelf. Also - UCS ISD had two Minifigures as well - not exactly a big argument here. As for the rest - yep - pretty much spot on - too many good mocs in all honesty - only thing its got going for it is its cheaper than a MOC obviously. Just tossing my 2 cents in. -
Lego has jack all nothing on you. This isn't a matter of size or piece count - its intention. Their Venator is just a simple mock up - yours is going to be refined and focused on quality. Doesn't need to be bigger to accomplish it. :) Frankly I don't hold much faith in their structure as it looks suspiciously like the USC ISD with obvious changes - which frankly is a PITA. Id sooner grab yours anyway.

I have some experience in running LED's - feel free to poke me - I tend to use lightmybricks.com components tho. Already showed you my TIE/d with said LED's.

Yeah - I consolidated the server I hosted them on so images are going to be broken - but if you need to see something specific - call it out - basically your just missing in progress builds/attempts/screaming/ranting/solution work outs. With instructions posted and the final product - figured the first post was enough. Also thanks for the compliment. :)

I wonder if you will ever understand your ATTITUDE is the issue here - you where wholly immature and unacceptable in your tact in terms of what your problem with the MOC - that and no one agrees with the evaluation over it - you have a serious problem here - I suggest you take a walk and maybe touch some grass before you decide to respond. Maybe actually read what people are trying to tell you instead of being so flippant. You are not gods gift to Lego MOC's - and you are certainly no authority on the subject - so stop pretending you are. Frankly I fail to see what the problem is with the MOC to begin with - it accomplished the objective he set out to begin with - if you don't like the style - then maybe you shouldn't have commented in the first place. My problem is I'm hopelessly addicted to "big" (just see my signature links ;) ) Frankly I'm more impressed with the techniques of the small little details like the corridor and other structure designs. May steal some of those for my Otana build ;) Keep up the good work. And ignore the turd - he's got issues. As someone who enjoyed the Andor series - you nailed it. :)

You just lost a ton of respect points - this is just a garbage post and you know it. People are screaming praises about this moc all over the place (various Lego Discords etc) I suggest you get a bit more perspective before you start judging like that again. Also - fantastic MOC - my one gripe? MOAR! (bigger/more stuff/just more!) :D There's like a little bit of everything - and while its kind of compacted - you always see something new - great job.
-
My Otana will be 7-8000 bricks soooo yeah..... lol (and of course I'm going to build it!)

Oh you that bored? <tease> I may just toss you my file to clean up my TIE Defender instructions and teach me a few things lol.

[MOC] EF76 NEBULON-B Escort Frigate - Midi Plus scale
Kage Goomba replied to Rubblemaker's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Honestly - you might be able to get away with calling it UCS - just slap a plaque on it and call it good - Nebula B Frigs are not easy to design/build and this one is quite gorgeous in its own right. UCS tends to be what I call something that has significantly large piece count - not just scale. Think the UCS A-Wing weighs in at 2k give or take? My TIE/d is just shy of 3k soooo -
Stud.Io is your friend - I strongly urge you to do this on your own - making instructions is the perfect "audit" in making sure your not missing any parts and haven't run into structural errors. I did my own on my TIE Defender for first time and frankly - it was the best decision I made - they aren't perfect - but prevented catastrophic errors. Just saying - happy to give you a starter if you need help in learning - course this is assuming you have it built out in Stud.io. Good luck either way. PS: I'm not a pro in making instructions - but I couldn't have built my TIE/d without them either lol. PS2: Also not saying you don't have to farm it out - but be prepared to compensate - its only fair considering the time it requires - us MOC'ers have our own projects to do.

[MOC] EF76 NEBULON-B Escort Frigate - Midi Plus scale
Kage Goomba replied to Rubblemaker's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I believe he said Midi-Plus scale. As in - a wee bit larger than Midi.
