Hey, that biscuit was, in Heroica time, probably only starting to get stale and the chicken was only just showing signs of mold! I'm not sure where they apparated from, but those sugar cubes were a good idea. Gave those horses some cubes. Horses love cubes.

Thormanil watches with intrigue as Romulus, whom he thought had forgotten how to converse with wildlife, held a solid conversation with the beasts.

Knowing that the party was lacking anyone still attuned to nature, Thormanil laid out his last rations, two pieces of chicken and a biscuit, in front of the horses as an offering.

Thormanil grabs a nearby rock and a solid branch. Using his Thundering Totem, he strikes the rock a few times until the sparks catch on the wood, giving himself a torch. Light in hand, he sets off around the camp to gather wood for a campfire.

Letting out a heavy sigh and turning away from the marauders, Thormy says, "Mac's right, we might as well get movin' along. Reaching 'halfway' sounds pretty great to me."

"I don't know about miracles, but maybe he'll go back and warn his gang that we're not an easy mark. Convince them the loot isn't worth the risk. Or maybe they'll be more inspired to overtake us." he shrugs, "I've said my piece, it's not my call to make now. Whatever yer gonna do, just do it and lets keep going."

We should be able to handle this without riskin' you getting hurt too badly." Thormanil attacks Henry from the front row. Mac does nothing from the back row. Drat, I knew I forgot to do something before the quest! That amethyst is supposed to be in my saber. Silly, silly me. EG, feel free to switch Mac's action if you all feel differently. Mine too, for that matter. I'm heading out for the evening and might not be back til it's late.

Didn't want to add another OoC post to the quest so, Endgame, the boots require a player to have hosted a quest, which means you're the only one who can equip them in our party (I believe).

"I don't think I'd be too out of line to say that we should get this show on the road, then. Lead on, Mac!" Rereading the first page, I entirely missed that TBW suggested I loan out the Fighter's Boots as well. Endgame, you're free to use those, too.
