What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?
McMurder_them_softly replied to KimT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Personally, I bought the Venator - really looking forward to that build. Most recent set, was a gift, so not really purchased, but Yavin IV. Been years since someone else surprised me with LEGO. -
Wow. Amazing MOC. Also love the starfighters commented above. Top notch work!!

Fives looks great! Except that odd pauldron. Pass on Malek, but that is personal, looks like a good figure to me. I do wonder why these figures were chosen. Would be nice if we do get to hear about that. Pass on the Sail Barge without an interior. That feels essential to me to make a purchase. Without it, I don't find the vessel that interesting. It also needs a lot of figures to flesh it out for me. -

Wow. Well a lot of new information since the last time I was on the forum. I am for sure interested in the following: Jedi Bob Starfighter UCS Tie Interceptor Droideka Tentatively interested in: Death Star Sith Inflitrator (never had one, despite starting in 1999) Escape from the Sarlacc - this depends on the Sail Barge. Which based on what I have read, 2 display figures, is not trending well Tantive IV hallway, for Fives and I like the scene. All of the midis....why stop collecting now? Podrace...very strong maybe on this one. -

I think it's just the box angle. -

Tantive IV boarding now is a must have with Fives. Anxiously awaiting more details! As for Darth Malak, glad he is with R2. I was gonna skip that anyways, just not a character for me. Maybe I will pick him up later though. With the Venator and other sets, I like the expansion and creativity from LEGO so far (released and rumored). -

Trying to refrain from blatant guessing, but another tin-foil hat moment...10 years since Revan plus the 1 quotes...I think mentioned on here before, but Revan minifig GWP coming back for May? -

I do like your ideas very much. I just like LEGO things, specifically figures if I can get them. If I want other collectibles, there are other companies for those sorts of items. -

These GWPs have really been hit and miss for SW lately IMO and more often miss than hit. -

I would have bought them if I had the means. I do now, which is why I got Rivendell. Put my money where my mouth is. -

I am inclined to agree. The helmet alone is really what sells it for me. I never liked the 2013 Rex helmet. The range finder and the better printing (in my opinion) just adds so much. Lamenting the lack of a waist cape. That's really it. -

Seems like first Venator review for anyone curious. Wonder how much he paid for the set...? -

I thought so too, but when looking at the lower section in the forward hangar notch area on either side by the red sub-assembly, it looks like magnets. I hope not, since I have the 10030 set (2002 ISD) and it really is so bad. I have to set it every day. -

Hold up, is it just me or does the Venator use magnets to hold up the bottom side? -

Few thoughts: I got the 332nd BP and really like the figures. The helmet holes seem less noticeable on these figures than the AT-TE 212th ones. Not sure why that is. Maybe the helmet color contrast is striking, drawing your eyes away from it. I wonder if the Holiday diorama set could be modded to fit into the unused space in the UCS Falcon interior. Maybe I'll try that. On SolidBrixStudio review of the diorama, at the end, strong hint and point towards the Venator. My guess is that he has the box just offscreen. With LAN members getting it, possible to start seeing pics soon, maybe by the end of next week? -

Octuparra would be really nice. The snail tank also first appeared in ROTS I believe. I could also use another one of those. Worried about the piece count if something like that. However, I think it was an existing guess. Leads me to believe Octuparra -
