LEGO Star Wars 2023 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

After watching a gunship review, I wish for the wing stud shooters, they had placed them on the bottom and had the top be a more representative design (with a bubble and dish laser emitter thing underneath). Also, that front compartment could have been filled with at least SOMETHING. Maybe I can fit the clone command station in there. -

Glad I did not preorder it and just the Ghost. -

I second this motion. I feel that filly tiled looks the worst. Some tiles to add surface detail looks the best and I think the ISD is one of the best examples of this. Hoping the Venator employs the same. -

I know what you meant and totally agree! Just saw a chance to be cheeky. I do think with the flatter sides that maybe the internal structure could be more robust. -

If anything, as a kid, I did not want a Dexter Jettsters diner, I wanted clone sets and we got them (still love you, 7163). But as an adult, I want it more. I think there is some really nice dialogue there (in my opinion) and a great scene to get in LEGO. But I think there would be an initial craze and then it would sit on shelves for the rest of it's production lifespan. -

Odd guess, but given what we know...and how it kinds shares some similar design features with an ARC (snoot, cockpit, engines on either side of cockpit) gonna throw something like a Freeco speeder out there. -

Pretty sure just wishful thinking at this point -

This would just be the worse. We want a real ARC-170. I could see a V-Wing MAYBE, but even that is scary. That would be cool to have an opening hangar door. However if it compromises the build, I would rather not have it. Just my opinion. -

I agree. If it had the kama, I could rest my case. Extra helmet hole doesn't seem really too bad. -

Yeah that is how I see it too. Tends to have many more figures as well. Upon closer review of the gunship, I really do like the set. I have 2 AT-TEs from last year and it would be nice to have those are part of a republic display with the Venator presiding over everything. Just don't love the stud shooters on the wings. Also, the more I look at Fox, he's alright but could be so much better in my opinion and I would like to believe that LEGO has the resources to accomplish these improvements. New thoughts, I think I will get 2 of them. -

Wow. Tie Interceptor. This is great! Saves me from getting the Mando set (really want that ship). Maybe I still will get it on discount. Love the Interceptor if true, definitely in need of a re-make and excited to see the detail and size. Especially since it will not need to have functions, I think they can really get the shape down perfectly. -

I knew it would be dark red, yes! Love the figures. It does look rather small though. I wonder how it will look next to last years AT-TE. Wish they did something creative in the interior as well. I think I will get one. -

Well that is quite interesting. I like most of this. Great to see more Midi-scale. Grogu escape, VS battlepack, and some TPM representation! -

Podracer and Clone BP sound very exciting, if true. I am not sure where we are at with all of these. Something about a YJA ship as well? Not sure if any of this has weight to it. -

At least the Venator should not be as wide, right? Right?! Would love to see how you did this, it just sounds so interesting and impressive! -

Impressive. Most impressive. This does put a smile on my face. I, too, will need to find a place to display it. But I am just making that issue worse with the countless sets I have NIB at this point. Just keep buying retail for things I like while looking for a house. -

I did too. Rex looks good to me, though a little too clean. Kama is a huge miss though. I really do not like the printing half-baked kama. Please let us have the fabric and just let the user decide how to handle it. -

Chewie...yikes. Ordered the Ghost, too good to miss. The starfighter 2-pack. Pass, decent figures and I like the E-Wing color scheme and functions but it just looks chunky (which may be a function of the actual ship appearance). Ahsoka shuttle...probable pass. Wish there was more too the ship and Sabine just looks kinda bland. The Rebels figure had a lot more going on (which may be a function of the show). Waiting for the gunship images and something for the Venator! -
