  1. @ Jamie75 : those are more for show than for use, although they give the model somewhat more sturdiness , these types are more like screws than the older pneumatic ones, so for a fact I love them ! It doesn't come moterised, I tend to build more MOC than actual working models, though I do use a lot of technic , I also did use some Duplo inside for support just don't tell anyone In fact I do know 1 other way to build even bigger wheels, those are really big but I have build only the rim, so I can't say if that really works In the near future I will update my brickshelf with some more picture's as the model comes along, it really is a drain on my bley parts, almost everything else I own is Classic Grey. Thats why the macaroni bricks are indeed Classic Grey and the radardish 8x8 too. I just don't have all the parts . @ Mister Man : Thanks for the link, I've seen it before, and it holds some nice idea's .
  2. Hi Legolijntje If you want to start a store feel free to ask - Little store's take less time than bigger one's .. parting out sorting and adding to you store takes some time, but goes faster in time. -That depends how much you ask for the parts and S&H . If your parts are expensive, you don't get lots of customers, Bricklink handels a fee of 10 % above a certain amount. that is for hosting your store . ( read bricklink policy ) -The're no good places to buy parts, if you build MOC , you can always try to sell the redundant parts . You can do anything or at least try everything. Hopes this helps a bit. Grtz Saint
  3. @ Anio : I used the 7041 troll battle wheel for inspiration for the wheels. 2x16 hinges in 1 wheel . for added support I used 2x8 plates underneath and 1x2 bricks on the sides, with the CMS plates I find that it works really well
  4. Thanks ! Thnx KielDaMan for adding the bigger picture's , I got some errors while placing mine, so I added some thumbs, just can't seem to get that part right @ Brickdocter : I don't like it either , but like you say , it's all about tiles or not ( 2 tile or not 2 tile, that is the question ), for now the tiles I used are there for the structual soundness , not as armour plating , keep in mind that the slopes are not more that 2 plates thick, mostly that I want to add interieur aswell Can't do much about the gaps on the wheels for now..
  5. Actually : very stable, and it can roll on a texured surface, not on our floor, I've put a blanket under it and that worked fine . Not connected to the underside it's fine, the underside is about 8 studs, so the model gets wobly if I only take the wheels off. The overhang of the model on both sides is about 8 studs on the frame , so I had very little room to fiddle with the wheels. the wheels themselfs are quite big and (to my own suprise ) sturdy, only connected to the frame with the axle's .
  6. Hello. I've been working hard on this MOC for a couple of weeks now, specially for the upcoming BeLUG meeting on the 30 April-1 May. I had this idea for some time, so when I was bored with my work I started planning , searching for parts and slowly building this beast of a Tank. Personally , I found that the back of the tank was a little undersized, so I made it a little bigger than usual, I find it better in-line with the overall feel of the model : here the general link My Turbotank. The tank has a few things as well : side-doors big, 2 smaller doors , on one side a rappel cord and 2 rocket launchers , the observation tower is present as well, the bigger gun turret in the back, and a rotating com-disk in the front. I know that the wheels should be gray with a lot of stripes, but as LEGO goes, this was the best option I could think of .. It holds a lot of Minifig-stands .. A total of 400 ! .. It can be broken down in a few sections as well, top, frame wheels and all the itty-bitty things can come of. As my tiny supply of bley is running out, I will not have the chance of building anything on the inside yet, but I want to improve the model bit by bit .. as far as I can take it with interior and a command-center perhaps, maybe I'll start with the cockpit first.. who knows. C&C is welcome, please don't point out what I know, I'm my own worst critic .. Feel free to ask almost anything . Grtz Saint
  7. Great !! Despite the horrible movie I can't resist : " It's the LAWWWWWWW !! " ghehehe No serieusly, you've done a great job on this fig, keep up the good work ! grtz Saint
  8. Verry nicely done !!! Perhaps this is a strange question, but can you tell me who build that Hummvee ? Or are there some other picture's ? thnx in advance , Saint
  9. If I order I try to keep the cost as low as possible. If I need 10 parts of 1 sort, and their cheaper by the 20 ( this is an example ) I'll buy the 20. Mostly I try to get as many parts from one shop as possible , keeping S&H low, perhaps try to cut a deal with a seller if I want to buy a lot of parts. It has been crazy for sometime when I was single, but now I take my time, trying to get more parts for my money. Check check and dubblecheck !!! Ow, forgot : If you keep buying small amounts of parts, you'll be running to bricklink later, more parts means less time ordering, thus buildingtime is better !! ( I always order more than I actualy need so when I run out , I've got a small backup , does not guaranty anything, I've got a nack for building MOC with the rarest of the rarest parts somehow ) grtz Saint
  10. If you show me a picture af a LAS blasters, I can give you an answer, i've got a few blasters , I collect SW-figs, but I'm not up to code on all the name's for the different blasters.
  11. I don't know what vlone's are .. so I can never outbid that. But hey, I'll go as far as : 3 clones , 6 blasters and 4 droids, blasters of your choice in black or gray .
  12. what about 2 clones with blasters from little arms shop and 2 battle droids ? Your clone looks nice ! Could be a great addition to my sw collection !
  13. LOL Thanks for the positive reactions !! You'll be seeing the MK II very soon JunkstyleGio , I'm planning one with a more "crusader" like look . Even now I'm thinking about some landspeeders, perhaps that first, don't know yet . Grtz Saint
  14. Totally indestructible , you'll break the LEGO before you break the glue. That is when they use the good stuff for it, If they use blobs of glue , I'm not so sure, perhaps you can soften it up with some hot water . If you don't see much of the glue-ing than it is LEGO-glue , that's part aceton part something else , part LEGO ( as far I know ) that makes it stronger than anything else , it fuses the parts together. grtz Saint
  15. Hey Eurobricks ! I've been building/planning this model for a long time , and I'm proud to show you the first picture's of my Landraider MK I . The model itself is based on the Warhammer 40K landraider, but with a twist, I wanted to get the figs in and out through the ramp, so I had to downsize the cannons on top. the side mounted cannons are a bit on the flimsy side, but have the fire arc of 180 degrees, so much bigger than that is not yet possible . Mind that it is a work in progress, hence the MK I version. The main build was pretty straight forward, some technic beams for support and the new beams for the wheels sprockets. I really wanted to get the "I'm a big machine and nothing can hurt me" feeling . Also, I wanted something of an inner work, with the option of adding PF functions on a later stage ( I removed them because I wasn't happy about them, the weight / power ratio was off and the balance was also lost ), but without a real inner work. I think I captured the "bulldog style" front rather well . tweeked it with some chains . C& C are always welcome , sorry for the blurry picture's , I build MOC's , I don't take a lot of picture's click here for the folder . Greetings , Saint
  16. It came to my attention that you ( Dutch people that is ) can order the SW brickmaster magazine through bol.com . I just ordered mine Whoooot that is something else !! Price was a little steep ( approx. 30 euro ) but I think it's worth it ! Also there was an Atlantis theme brickmaster availible, skipped that one, doesn't appeal to me .. grtz Saint
  17. just came back from a very, very nice show ! ( Saturday ) I bought a few bits of loose Lego, 3 mini SW sets ( from the U.K papers ) and talked a lot with the people from BeLug , I enjoyed myself so much that I became a member on the spot, and I'm thinking about showing some of my stuff next time . Thnx !!

houses Just take a look in a real city and take it from there.. Or build your own city of the future
  19. Hi uitzetter, Take it from me, those prices on Marktplaats are way to high. The best places to buy secondhand is fleemarkets and bricklink. Just be carefull at fleemarkets because there's a lot of people who do this for a living, and overrate the prices on lego. Recently I bought 4 powerminer sets for just 17 € on a fleemarket ( was 35 ), but also saw a lot of overpriced lego there. just try to bargen with them, if they ask 10, drop to 5 , and if you hackle a bit, you can always get it cheaper. Bricklink works better if you want a lot of identycal parts fast, and ( realative) cheap , search for the cheapest or the one close to it and look out what there saying in there store therms, some buyers ad saletax or V.A.T to buyers outside of there country, those are people doing it for the money. Last bricklink tip : If you buy something out of the U.S , ask them to send it marked "gift" or you'll end up paying dutch customs afterall. ( happend to me in 2 separate ocassions. If you want more advise, just PM / email me, I'm also dutch

  22. hmm, can't see anything.. Nice letters !
  23. well, it looks like it. Nice work ! I personely think the arms could do without the thickness, it looses the "minifig" feeling just a bit there. 9 out of 10
