  1. You should sneak a 6074 and/or 6041 flag(s) into the MOC as well ;) The Forestman hat is current(ish - it's a new mould) and I'd really like to get that one in red as well Good luck!
  2. Now hold on Toastmaster, you can't argue that LEGO's or Lego's are okay instead of LEGO bricks(parts/whatever, that just grammatically wrong Also, it used to The LEGO Company (TLC) but it's now The LEGO Group (TLG). Unless you're talking about LEGO Holding, which is actually Kirkbi A/S. Which is part of concern of 19 companies. Kirkbi A/S also have two sub companies ... And then there's LEGO security, LEGO System A/S, LEGO JURIS etc And a whole bunch in Switzerland that we don't talk about .. Yup, sums up humanity right there
  3. Uhmm, maybe the sets were cool enough? City, Creator and Technic do not rely on cartoons. SW do, but thankfully Lucasfilm made a few movies over the last four decades so TLG could sell some toys
  4. But are the shows on youtube in regional languages? While my son no longer has any interest in Ninjago, he did have +50 sets and he never really bothered with the TV series. We tried watching the movie but that is really crappy I do think the LEGO Movie did quite a bit to boost LEGO sales and awareness (the second not so much) but to my understanding the TV series (Ninjago and Chima) didn't really make an impact amongst him and his friends We still, from time to time, watch anything LEGO SW as those cartoons are pretty funny with a lot of internal SW references that we dig And Clutch Powers! Although that wasn't tied to any sets/themes in particular My daughter likes the stupid cartoon with the cat from the LEGO Movie (I hate it!) but she has not asked for any sets .. Cheers, Ole
  5. ? Also, the (less than) honourable Willaim Swanberg almost two decaeds ago ..
  6. Ask at the BL forum
  7. Check out the FABUland shows from the 80's on youtube .. Cheers, Ole
  8. Which only came in yellow. No chance TLG is going to bring that part back (they might make a new mould though, like the pitchfork) Some other dubious parts in that nice MOC as well .. However, the 6067 flag could indeed be printed again and I'd LOVE that! Cheers, Ole
  9. It's not a picture, it's a render
  10. Selling those sets individually will take a lifetime. Check out the part value at BL and just how many of those figs/interesting parts are for sale. You're most likely to saturate that market and thus becoming your own competitor I'd only do it myself if I could shift the lot at once for another euro each MFG, Ole
  11. You have to put me on "ignore" or else I'll spray baby powder on all your threads Love, Ole
  12. That is right, they can't But there are humans older than babies that reach this site that are still not old enough to post according to EB rules. Have you read them?
  13. Now, we meet at dawn with our secret DUPLO contraptions
  14. 601 is indeed rather old. Got a pic? Too bad. Playing with LEGO is what seperates man from aliens
  15. Messing around, I guess?
  16. That was a reply for me, just ignore it
  17. That's not an old set, that was released 13 years ago. If that is old for you, you're not old enough to be here And yes, I do buy old MISB sets from 80's (classic space/castle/technic) and open them to enjoy the glory of the past. I build, I marvel ... and the parts go into my inventory Then I sell the box and instructions in hope to make at least some of the outrageous money back I paid paying for said sets . rinse and repeat .. Cheers, Ole Thorsten, i'll have watever you're smoking please
  18. Yes, but it's made of unobtainium Prototype castle wall- 6 studs wide. Production part is 5 studs wide. by Walter Whiteside Jr., on Flickr
  19. 6574 does not need system bricks to work, just a flat surface
  20. It's this one : https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?C=c81detrZug&name=1981 Entdecke den richtigen Zug! (93.175-D)&category=[1981][Train]#T=S&O={"iconly":0} However, none are for sale and I haven't found a scan anywhere Cheers, Ole
  21. No, train doors are actually back in other sets not belonging to the train range. TLG didn't have to revieve that mould, but they did I very much doubt TLG are going to make any serious money on the BL program. Those 13 sets will only get produced in max 5000 untis. That's is peanuts compared to what TLG actaully do make serous money on TLG could choose not to do this program. But they do and they do it for you I really don't get all this moaning. Now, I'm no TLG apologist (in fact I think ALL modern LEGO is rubbish), but this is LEGO. The parts are out there, easy to obtain and you can actually build whatever you damn please. And if you don't have the MOC chops, they're loads of instructions to pick from You cannot really do this with normal hobby trains, only with LEGO It's never been easier and there have NEVER been such a vast range of LEGO train sets, parts, instructions and now thrid party parts available So, stock up, build and send the occasional email to TLG stating you love for trains and get on with your life Cheers, Ole
  22. Vinyl reproduction and selling is major business (surpassed CD sales last year), It's not really audiophiles, but more collectors, new and young that drives the market https://pitchfork.com/news/vinyl-record-sales-increased-almost-30-in-2020-riaa-says/ However, as you said, it's not an idea sutiable for TLG. And it can be debated that it's not a particular good way to treat vinyls anyway Cheers, Ole LEGO is totally outdated. You can build much faster and complicated devices/vehicles with anything but LEGO. The parts are out there, the 3D machines as well
  23. There are several churches, weddings and other religious images (Noahs Ark) in the IDEA Books
  24. TLG even made on in the mid 70's that could have used those windows
  25. Exactly. TLG dumps parts and sets in not-so-normal ways and employees can buy at very low prices (depending on how far up in the foodchain they are) I'm sure some of that are not supposed to be sold, but I guess TLG turns the blind eye However, these minifigs are something else Edit : I looked up the former SW moderator here (as I mentioned some posts back), KimT, that got headhunted by TLG to be community coordinator. Looks like he got booted .. " On November 14, 2019 Kim was fired for breaking LEGO's rules and was swiftly terminated, but at this moment it is unknown why" (according the Brickipedia) It would have been nice to have his input - or any official statement from TLG
