  2. It turned out great Zuloo. I like the snot water. The arches on the front of the dock look amazing, but did we forget to tie the boats? Good work my friend. Cheers -HMS
  3. Sounds promising. It will be a task to live up to the original Captain GreenHair design, but you will pull it off Im sure of it. Cheers -HMS
  4. Beautiful ship my friend, well done. The shape of the ship is perfect. Love the dark red lines. A couple of small things, the stern I think you need to add some ridged hose under the windows, it will add more shape to the stern. Oh and scala? Love those toilets. It looks great. Keep it up. You will soon have a matched rival to battle. Cheers! -HMS
  5. Sounds like a great project you have made yourself.. A few pointers, first 8 midsections might be too long for the width. I feel like 7 midsections is the max, My ship Sang Royale and Bonaparte's ship Prince of Wales are both 7 midsection, 64 gun ships. So if you could pull off 8 midsections you could easily fit 74 guns instead of 44 guns. Also the yellow and black color scheme would confuse people into thinking the ship is British and not French. Good luck with the build. -HMS
  6. I am currently in a dark age in lego and my actual life. Not sure how long it will last.
  7. You both look happy. Cheers to that.
  8. Well if you consider that there hasn't been Lego pirates in a decade, I would say that something is better than nothing. Yea I feel the older sets were great and will never be surpassed, but the new sets offer great new parts and minifigures, and who is to say that there will not be a pirate set in the future that will blow us away.
  9. Typical white North American mutt. I have some English, Swedish, and Cherokee backgrounds... and probably more that I don't know about.
  10. Well I own my dream ride for right now 2008 Yamaha R1 But as far as dream bike, it would have to be a Ducati 1098
  11. Churrasco (Brazilian BBQ) is my favorite kind of food. That with an ice cold Skol (Brazilian beer, not the Turkish beer) or a caipirinha is probably as close to heaven as Ill get.
  12. Looks good so far. Rigging looks great... Oh the rudder looks familiar. I wish I could finish the sang royale and we could present ours together... No fair you can have the master ship builders help work on your ship.... I had some MSN help. Keep it up buddy. -T
  13. Hello everyone, Im not sure how to say this but it seems that I am entering a dark age with my lego building. Now I know that I had said that the Sang Royale would be finished but with how busy I have been the past two weeks it was almost impossible to work on her... I would say she is a little over 3/4 done. However, I have just started a new business, moved into a new apartment, started school again, and its sad to say there is no room for the Sang Royal right now. She will stay at my childhood home unfinished along with my other legos until I return home for the holidays. I love to build lego, and I will miss it for now. I will still be somewhat active on the forum when I get the chance to.. And for those who I have become friends with, I will stay in touch. Everyone... You have not seen the last of me. I shall return. -T
  14. Thanks everyone for their kind words. I will give the specs on this ship. She is a 64 gun ship of the line under french colors, and has seven prefab center sections (not counting the bow and stern hull pieces). And the tumble home effect is a guarded secret, but if you do a little research you will be able to figure out how to do it. Cheers -T
  15. Oh and it seems that some people are questioning how sturdy my friends and my mocs are so here is some proof. And here she is awaiting her sails and slightly more rigging to be added (It was in the way of adding the sails, but will be re-added when the sails are on the yardarms)
  16. Looks good buddy. The lines of the ship are perfect. Its about time you are satisfied with the hull. Keep it up.
  17. The rigging is nearly complete. She will be ready for action soon.
  18. Hello everyone. Just wondering if anyone else plays guitar out there. Style of playing, Rig(Amp, pedals, etc), Etc. I play myself. Am a veteran player. My rig consist of Line 6 Spider 3 212 (studio amp), Marshall 412 cab with Spider 3 head, Dime from hell wah, oct3, and line 6 pod. I have about 7 guitars right now: Jackson kelly ke with dimebucker bridge pickup, Esp KH emg, Jackson Dinky pro, BC rich warlock custom, Fender Strat, And two acoustics. Would love to hear what everyone else rocks with.
  19. Great work buddy. I noticed some changes from the wip photos you sent me. Looks great.. the sails are the best Ive seen. Oh and the STRING RIGGING. The realism of this ship meets the standards set by all of your other creations. Cheers -T
  20. The color of that minifigure is off. I am very disappointed with that. If you look at the other minifigs you can see that none of them are big characters of their given theme, perhaps thats the reason lego used the low keyed character for the pirate theme.
  21. I think we will be ok. It seems that every new Moc or Vig I see has the new soldiers and pirates populating it. I went to Toys R Us the other day to buy the soldiers fort and they were almost sold out of everything.
  22. Looks good Zuloo. The curve of the hull is done nicely, and the color scheme is nice.. One thing I see that can improve is the angle of the stern. The construction and ornaments are nice but if you where to angle it out a bit, the ship would look better... As is its too blocky. OH and the mast look fine. They seem to be positioned correctly, however I would remove the bottom yard arms since ships did not have them that low. Cheers HMS243
  23. Looks great Z. The dome tops do make the church look like a Spanish Cathedral. Oh, and are those cannon I see run out the two windows by the front door of the Cathedral? Talk about fire and brimstone, more like fire and grapeshot.
  24. Yea at first the rigging thing was tedious and there was many re-dos, but I believe now I have gotten the hang of it and Its coming along nicely. Yes. I will use a very nice and professional camera and take many detailed shots of the rigging, decks, and entire ship. Oh and yes the poster on the wall is very easy to look at.
  25. Some blurry pictures have been taken of the rigging progress.
